I love all your video's. I have never been a catfish fisherman growing up. I was never shown how to hold a catfish and I would get jabbed by them. So I quit fishing for them. We'll, I'm 62 now and your video's have got me excited about catfishing. Your video's are so easy to watch and learn. Keep up the great work on the videos. Fishing elbow is a real thing. One Summer, a few years ago, a good buddy and I spent every day on Lake Michigan we could, fishing for kings, cohos, steelies. We caught a lot of fish, and deployed a lot of trolling gear. Got to the point both of my elbows were wiped out to the point I didn't know if I could safely work. Took several months of being very careful to heal up. Mind you, I am mid-fifties, and have to accept the fact I don't have the stamina and muscles to do what I have always taken for granted.

Where are you fishing that is not a frozen tundra, such as I have all around me at the moment? Tomorrow I will be sitting in a tiny one man flip-over, trying desperately to stay warm, as I peek through the windows hoping for a "keeper" pike to pickle. I will wind up watching Joe Rogan podcasts on my phone, and reminding myself that all of this was done to prevent cabin fever. The real fishing starts in late April. Until then, I'll consume more whiskey than normal, and live off of River Certified videos. Thanks man, for keeping me alive.
I hope to be as good of an angler as you. As a disabled veteran, I find fishing very therapeutic and it helps ease my mind. Only problem is I suck. I'd love to get a kayak soon, but I am not working at the moment. I always love the videos. Thank you for taking me along. :)
I'm an avid fisherman myself, I've never been above the Mason Dixie Line before. I love every video you've made and I've watched almost all of them multiple times I think, but I think it would be a blessing from the Almighty if you'd do a contest and the winner wins an overnight catch and cook with you. I've had a lifetime of hardships and bad luck, but to be able to fish with my favorite fisherman would surely make my troubled life well worth everything I've been through. My definition of a good time right there! Tho it's sure nice when you have help with you lol. One fishing trip towards the end of the summer I had 3 rods go off at once, all of them mid teen carp. That was a bit bonkers lol. Standing on the butts of two rods to keep em from going in the water, while trying to guide a thrashing fish into the landing net. Good times
Grate video, it's was quite a fruitful day of fishing , I think with fishing catching a huge fish is a bit more fun when keeping it , but catching a lot of fish Is better when you're releasing 👍
One of the best inventions in my opinion, the thermos! Nothing like a hot cup of coffee while out fishing in the cold temps 😊! Deep fryer on the boat, possible, I'm sure, good idea? I'm thinking no lol. I remember one of the smaller ships I was on in the Navy, hit rough seas, had to stop using the fryers. For safety stick with your Gas One brother 👍. Another awesome episode👍

There's nothing wrong with catching a mess of eater size kitties. I love a day like that. Any time you can have a good day catching and fill your belly is a great day. I love a good fresh catfish especially with some hush puppies or fried taters.

As a teen I would go to my dads during the summer. He lived in Pekin an I would go to Powertin an fish the the intake with inline spinners. Casting up current with inline spinners and catch really nice small mouth. Great memories!
