Maybe the Fronz "Beef" was just to draw attention to himself and the band especially since this song just came out. Kind of seems like a marketing tactic
Yo he's a genius man! Heavy metal is so cool these days with guys like Ronnie starting beef to help sell his new pop song, and M Shadows selling NFTs instead of writing music. Oh and finn mckenty, one of the most knowledgeable metal heads on the planet. True geniuses of our generation and a testament to the entrepreneurs and businessmen that stood before them😎
About 6 years ago, the small club that I used to work at had Attila headline a show with support from Bad Omens, New Years Day, and Cane Hill (times have changed quickly). Anyway, it drew kind of a questionable crowd, and the openers really won over a majority of the Attila stans, and you could tell it pissed off Fronz. No shouting out the openers, no interaction with the crowd, and he just booked it through the setlist. He was kind of a dick to our load-in/load-out team too. Just my experience on the inside with that guy.
Being that you addressed how his rapping wasn't his strong point early on in the video, I'm surprised you didn't comment on how much it's improved over the last few years. He's not gonna be mentioned with the greats by any means, but I'd say you could genuinely call him a rapper now rather than just a singer who raps some.
Finn is the super sarcastic neighbor you played two years of T-ball with when you were kids, and you run into him sometimes at Kroger's....you're not really sure why he has an opinion on everything, but you really like that he's a smartass about it...
Ronnie has a whole mixtape that dropped close to a decade ago😂I loved it when I was a kid but it hasn’t aged very well. People should still check it out
@@Jdemonify but Homelander is literally mad Superman in The Boys universe and that part in the video definitely seems inspired by a similar scene in the show, just look up "Homelander lasers crowd"
It's really hard not only to make music feel like an event, and to make a video that looks incredible like that.... and not to mention almost as many genre switch ups as a Mr Bungle song! most impressive!
There aren’t nearly as many genre switch ups are Mr bungle would do, this is arguably FIR’s most diverse song and it only really switches entire genres once, twice if you’re being nit-picky. I agree it’s impressive how event worthy a new FIR single is tho. I reckon it’s because he has entirely thrown out the album cycle model; instead releasing 1 song every 10 months instead of 10 songs every 24 months. He’s able to focus all the ideas and energy into one song that contains all of it instead of spreading it through an album. Each song is basically 3 minutes of what would otherwise be album highlights. The best parts of 10 songs condensed into one 3 minute song.
I am trying to combine genres in my own project, & it seems much more difficult to merge something together than it is to switch between them. It's a damn musical chemistry experiment.
This song was really bold for me, because it doesn't follow a traditional song structure. He is a master of catchy, repeatable hooks, and that was not a thing in this one! All of this singles have been an intentional progression of musical styles, skill in executing them, and personal story arcs. Voices in My Head was him growing galaxy brain powers in solitary, and this one is the execution of his vision now that he has powers (and it's in rap-punk with breakdowns opera style?)
Tbh the best way to describe this song is: Trap Progressive rap Symphonic metalcore Post-hardcore And that's just grasping at straws considering how all over the place it is
So here’s the thing: I enjoyed it! Great breakdown, awesome video. I liked the rap parts actually. But please Ronnie and fronz! For the sake of your child, stop arguing! Finn don’t like it!
I feel like this kind of stuff feels like too much. I get the audience and it being innovative, as well as continuing to push forward, but this really does feel like the Marvel Cinematic Universe of music, even if you ignore the music video (which coincidentally looks like a marvel movie). Very produced and polished and flashy. Thats fine, but tbh, it's exhausting.
These recent tracks, and especially this one, are written specifically for TH-cam Reaction Channels. He's literally sitting at a computer ready to react to the reactions. It's a business model.
I think that’s the new model. Engagement is no longer “hello fans I have a new song, please listen and enjoy” it’s got to have an outside narrative either with story or drama. Why bring up 10 year old beef a day two prior to releasing a single? Probably so he’s back in the headlines on rock feed and other rock journalist sites at the same time. For all we know he could’ve privately messaged fronz and been like hey dude I’m gonna go talk shit for a few days go along with it. Both of them are top tier at marketing in their genre. That being said I enjoy the music video and song.
I don't mind the pausing. If you don't the multiple pausing, just watch the video on your own. I just didn't like the commentary. He could have spent 7 seconds to pull up lyrics, but refused to, and then complained about not understanding the lyrics, and made zero attempt to.
I can't listen to this song without thinking about that point you made about "the white guy flow" in another video and I can't stop noticing it everywhere now
Yet another song where Ronnie is crying about the "haters" and how he insists it doesn't bother him. Like bro, 99% of your songs are about the haters. You care a little bit.
Literally not though. Hes literally saying they can say what they want. But hes got dirt on basically everyone in the business and people push him but he won't say the shit he could.
I liked some of this dude's (Ronnie's) live streams during the pandemic, seemed pretty intelligent. I have never for the fucking life of me been able to figure out why people listen to any of his music though lol, best guess is the drama stuff is just good marketing bait.
This 100%. MGK mentioned that people aren't being like the classic rock stars anymore and Ronnie stepped up. The drama, the bullshit, the feuds, and I'm absolutely here for it. It worked before in rock, it works in hip hop, it still works and probably always will. What makes it great is how he's willing to meme himself and all the stuff going on in the music videos, so we can confidently say he's self aware. I think it's clever.
Mf has been shit on his whole life, his own mother abandoned him. Got caught up in a murder case and spent 2 years in prison even tho he was innocent. He doesn't take disrespect from anyone and will call you out for it. He's not perfect and neither are you.
I know, it's hilarious. Like I do honestly believe that Ronnie is _trying_ to be a good guy and improve himself, but he really does let shit get to him so easily and I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason he included the fast rapping part in this song, is because of the shit with Fronz recently where Fronz claimed he was a better rapper than Ronnie.. so now Ronnie puts out this because he's absolutely seething and feels like he has something to prove.

Im kind of stumped how a guy killing double and triple time raps on a track you say "The rap stuff is not his strength." Most of todays rappers cant rap that fast. Now rap may not be something you like and thats fine but cmon man give the guy props where its due.
I like it, I’m a sucker for a song that builds in intensity throughout. Love him or hate him, Ronnie puts in more effort than most other musicians in the scene.
@ 5:37 - ‘2008 high school football TH-cam highlight compilation’ also someone just 5s into the rap said ‘white boy flow’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 NAURRRRR Let Ronnie brEATHE YALL 🤣🤣
I like both bands and I dont pick sides. I'm on the side of good music and facts. So if you wanna talk shit at me or whatever fine but here goes 1. Fronz said someone came up to him and told him about it. Ronnie said Fronz was told about it after he woke up. Ronnie didn't say it to his face at the casino even though I do believe Ronnie would definitely say it to his face, he didn't. He just asked him if he heard about it. So in reality Fronz didn't lie. 2. The whole Zombified shirt thing is wrong cause that was an Attila Metalcore Manson shirt that came out the year before. 3. This beef isn't really beef. Ronnie is the only on talking shit about it nowadays and I get it. Callout was released in 2013 and Fronz said he just wanted to stir some shit up, he didn't actually want beef. Then runs with it and acts like he hates him, Ronnie that keeps the shit stirring. But it's only beef for Ronnie at this point. Fronz is just chilling and enjoying life. Again fan of both bands. Got me through high school. So I'm not hating. I'm just saying. All love to Fronz and Ronnie. Good music is good music. They should end this shit.
Try as I might, it's difficult to see his last few releases as 'something special' when they all come across as tantrums about cancel culture. I'm not even disagreeing with Ronnie's point, but it's hard to take a song about people being overly sensitive from a guy who strikes me as overly sensitive very seriously. It feels a bit juvenile, I guess. Sonically, it wasn't my favorite but had some really big moments that, regardless if it seems like a petty man complaining about people being, well, petty, still MAKE you listen to what's happening. Even if it's not your cup of tea. I'd love to see more of this unpredictability in music, personally.
I don't know why you don't feel Ronnie's rapping being his strength, it must be some kind of personal revulsion. I find his rap parts in FIR and even the rap songs from his solo album (which are pretty much represented in this song) not just good but downright mindblowing. He has such an outstanding rapping style, especially bc of his great vocals and the rock-like anger in his tone. So I personally would very much encourage him to be keeping up with rap and using it as much in his songs as a trap-metal genre can get.
People have a weird hate boner for any "eminem" style rap these days. If they rap fast, people honestly give it shit. Its almost like other kinds of rap can be good.
@MyBeautifulDarkTwistedSilentPlanet gonna have to disagree here. I listened to a couple of JID songs just now and its not it for me. I guess i am someone who enjoys technical proficiency done well. Being able to string together fast verses and clever rhyming/lyrics is more fun to me than a good beat or "vibe". I am in no way saying one is better than the other, but rap people are worse gate-keepers than metal people when it comes to peoples tastes.
Something that doesn’t get discussed enough is Ronnie’s interaction with TH-camrs. He not only encourages channels to react to his videos but he reacts to them, I find something fun and wholesome in him doing that. It’s also great advertising of his music. The man understands his art and each release is an experience not just music. I dig it.
Dude Ronnie only started that beef to get some spotlight for the new song. Fronz my or may not have been in on it but I’m sure even if they didn’t speak about it, Fronz knew what he was doing and played along.
The whole beef is just pathetic click-fishing, that loudwire couldn't help but exploit. I kinda like what Radke does with FiR, but like Corey Taylor, no one should give him a chance to run his mouth
Not a fan of falling in reverse not a fan of his vocals it kind of screams white guy rapper but that video budget is insane on a postive note the end was heavy
Everyone saying it’s good obviously dosnt also listen to rap which is totally fine but no he is not a good rapper saying shit fast does not equal good lol
As someone who listens to multiple genre's of music and "chopping" is my favorite branch of hip hop. His fast rap is not only very clear but also technical and has entendre's on top of entendre's. This man just showed that he's becoming the Michael Jordan of Metalcore. He's the man on all sides of the ball.
Nothing cracks me up more then boomers being mad FIR uses laptops. Ppl are paying a lot of money to be entertained providing a accurate show with album quality music is a must. Or they failed as ENTERTAINERS. Big fan of Ronnie’s arrangements man fuck they’re so good🔥
Man, I couldn’t imagine going to a show and expecting the exact thing I hear on the records. In fact, that’s the last thing I want. If I want polished, produced music I listen to the album. I want raw LIVE music when I go to the show. I don’t want pantomime while the record plays through the PA.
I was on shiprocked. Ronnie was saying how Fronzak asked Ronnie's permission to call him out on his song. So, Ronnie was making jokes calling Fronzak a poser. I guess they are trying to manufacture the beef again.
True...From what I have found, this is supposed to be a continuation of his recent song Voices In My Head and he references other songs. It's purposeful to tie in his recent successes from what I gather, opposed to not being able to come up with new stuff. Hope I am making sense.
@@AncaPoraIllustration I am on your page. I will say the more I listen to and watch the vid, the less I hear the similarities aka references or homages to their recent, previous song(s). I haven't figured out why that is my experience although it may be because I am hearing the slight alterations when they do use those beats or chords. It's a mystery. Lol
Don’t hate on someone and expect them not to fire back. The amount of people who think that a dude who has millions of fans but with that comes thousands of haters: I get that it’s part of the territory. But we are ALL human beings. If YOU got that same backlash you’d probably cry in a ball and feel worthless, just because someone transferred their energy into art and said “fuck you all who doubt me.” Why is that bad? You’d never understand unless you were in his shoes. Keyboard warriors can kick rocks. Artists are open to criticism for sure but be a fuckin dick? I’d be a dick right back at you. Idgaf that’s lame, you clearly have nothing better to do with your life if shitting on Ronnie is your life’s mission. Don’t push someone if you don’t wanna be pushed back. That simple.
speaking of beefs, this song has the same pre-breakdown phrase as NZT48 by I See Stars, a band which Ronnie had a beef in like 2012. I don't know but this is kinda funny to me
Finn I would live to hear you do a Dive into Starset. They are really bringing something to rock I think you might be interested in with this major backstory that all their videos tell. The fan base is insane dedicated and into the story. They've grown from 4 members to 7 and are definitely still under the radar for a ton of people but Dustin Bates is kinda genius and has these huge plans that we fans can only speculate on.
"Kaitlyn Federwitz" Plus how they started off being lumped with a lot of butt rock in Transmissions and Vessels and then being the transition point from that to Metalcore as of Divisions
@burndt jamb Mostly Puddle Of Mudd, Seether, Hinder, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Creed, Theory of A Deadman, Five Finger Death Punch, Chevelle etc but also includes bands like System Of A Down, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Rise Against, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Black Veil Brides, Evanescence, In Flames, Falling In Reverse, A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon etc (While they are not butt rock they do get lumped in that category.) It is mostly aimed at Post Grunge and Nu Metal but I think it goes more than that and also applies to Pop Punk/Emo. I do enjoy that stuff btw if you want to know

@ 5:37 - ‘2008 high school football TH-cam highlight compilation’ also someone just 5s into the rap said ‘white boy flow’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 NAURRRRR Let Ronnie brEATHE YALL 🤣🤣
Deadguy doesn't use laptops.
8:24 Chris Jericho from Fozzy 😂
Also, when Footlocker and HotTopic are right next to each other
I like both bands and I dont pick sides. I'm on the side of good music and facts. So if you wanna talk shit at me or whatever fine but here goes
Loved the reaction hope you react to their love concert they did during COVID-19 called falling in reverse live from the unknown 2021 it is amazing
Was there supposed to be jumps in the reaction that cut out parts of the song? Sorry maybe I’m just not getting the cuts
*Almost * everybody uses "backing" tracks. There are a few bands that don't but very few.
It just sounds like he’s whining and is as sensitive as the ppl he complains about in his songs
I don't like Falling In Reverse, but I will always check them out.
might be the worst thing I've heard all year.
Ronnie has lost his way agaaaaaainn!!!
Imagine reacting to a song where you pause every 3 seconds? How could anyone grasp anything doing that? Lol
@MyBeautifulDarkTwistedSilentPlanet he's the "I don't listen to rap, but still listen to Tom Macdonald" type of guys
@@RCmetal11 Disagree. Rap fans might be toxic but at least they support new artists despite beefing with them
Deadpool calls the landing, superhero landing 😂
His "rap stuff" is fucking great
Neural Dsp sounds great , i dont have the Quad Cortex but i do have the Rabea plugin ..very well put together.
That is almost note for note the same exact breakdown from Voices in my Head…..
I dig it.
i only clicked this for that very inviting thumbnail!
FIR ADHD any % challenge
I heard this last night and they have used the same break down for atleast the last 3 songs....lol
Dude Ronnie only started that beef to get some spotlight for the new song. Fronz my or may not have been in on it but I’m sure even if they didn’t speak about it, Fronz knew what he was doing and played along.
Ronnie might be the biggest man baby on the planet
Living rent free my boy.
This is why Ronnie can't perform without his laptop
He stole that rap from a drake flow "I got enemies I got lots of enemies"
could you pause every 2 seconds instead of every 3 seconds because that's what viewers love. jfc
Really not a fan of this whole thing but people like it I guess. (also how many times is he gonna talk about voices in his head?)
As much as the voices in his head talk about him
The whole beef is just pathetic click-fishing, that loudwire couldn't help but exploit. I kinda like what Radke does with FiR, but like Corey Taylor, no one should give him a chance to run his mouth
gives me hip hop mgk vibes
Only it's actually good.
@@zacharyengle4256 LOL no
Lol scene Tom Macdonald lol
Not a fan of falling in reverse not a fan of his vocals it kind of screams white guy rapper but that video budget is insane on a postive note the end was heavy
pls talk about the ai rapper, it's so odd, great content by the way 💪
OMG, the stuff about Sebastian Bach... I'm dead. lol
I thought that was Tom McDonald rapping.
His life is still like a video game
trying hard to beat the stage
Ronnie's always starting beef. He's like the old woman on the Wendy's commercials in the 80s looking for where the beef is. It's in Ronnie's pants.
“Personally I don’t think rap is his strength…” 2 minutes later has to eat his hat
2 minutes later it’s definitely still not his strength
It’s number 9 on trending as of an hour ago
@MyBeautifulDarkTwistedSilentPlanet Cope lol
This song might be the moment I realized I'm over the hill, and I'm gonna hate anything new and popular forever now. So that's awesome I guess.
Lmao your bit about wanting them to stop fighting was too funny
That was the funniest reaction I've seen in a while
I got an ad for the music video while watching this lmao
Tbh his faster flow works pretty decently. It’s when he does the slower parts that his rapping doesn’t work that well
Why do most white rappers really fast, when it sounds cringy and bad
@@OTB2002 plenty of rappers regardless of race rap fast
@@Jmack7861 no, it’s mostly white rappers who rap fast like this. Most white rappers try to rap like Eminem
@@OTB2002 you are not familiar with much rap then lol
@@OTB2002 bizzy-bone krayzie bone, D-loc,dizzee rascal, el chojin, no clue, tech n9ne, twista, indo g, the majority of fast rappers are not white.
Everyone saying it’s good obviously dosnt also listen to rap which is totally fine but no he is not a good rapper saying shit fast does not equal good lol
Yelawolfs rock album
Been listening to this song all day. Pretty similar to his latest singles but if it works then why not. The rap part is pretty insane.
True...From what I have found, this is supposed to be a continuation of his recent song Voices In My Head and he references other songs. It's purposeful to tie in his recent successes from what I gather, opposed to not being able to come up with new stuff. Hope I am making sense.
@@lindzee7410 Yup makes sense. I like this formula for singles but I hope they switch it up soon so it doesn't get boring
Cool sponsor!!! The best!!
speaking of beefs, this song has the same pre-breakdown phrase as NZT48 by I See Stars, a band which Ronnie had a beef in like 2012.
They suck lol
@@lethybridtheorygolucastheo2191 Their pretty much Sci-fi Breaking Benjamin.
@burndt jamb Mostly Puddle Of Mudd, Seether, Hinder, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Creed, Theory of A Deadman, Five Finger Death Punch, Chevelle etc but also includes bands like System Of A Down, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Rise Against, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Black Veil Brides, Evanescence, In Flames, Falling In Reverse, A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon etc (While they are not butt rock they do get lumped in that category.)
It is mostly aimed at Post Grunge and Nu Metal but I think it goes more than that and also applies to Pop Punk/Emo.
I do enjoy that stuff btw if you want to know
Lmao the Dragon Ball Z and then Naruto reference xD
