    Totally agree with what you said about metalcore. The formula is heavy verse, radio rock chorus, basic breakdown. The cleans are all going for either the butt rock vocal sound, or the high pitched poppy sound. There's just no deviation from that formula and the genre has fallen off hard. Then most of the bands that are trying to take metalcore and make it "proggy" are all trying to do the exact same form of "progressive." it's all just so stale

    • @LasTortugasAzules
      @LasTortugasAzules ปีที่แล้ว

      @@charizardmaster13 of course every genre has basic, generic bands. That doesn't mean some aren't worse than others. If I pick a random deathcore song right now, I could end up with something symphonic, a beatdown band, blackened deathcore, a more groove based band, thall, or a half dozen other sounds. If I pick a metalcore song at random, the odds of hearing something totally formulaic are way higher
      I'll never give up on metalcore, because I've been listening to it since back when people just called it "metallic hardcore." They are legit and my fav “newer” metal band. I love his high pitched screams and how clear his annunciations are. Dope ass band. A little organized chaos is fucking great. They’re on my bucket list. 🙃

    I love Knocked Loose because it even though they’re well produced they have a fucking RAW sound and so much anger

    My first time listening to a knocked loose single here. Immediately notice the mix is raw but energetic, Metalcore BOSS pedal being chunky and the kick drum pushing air directly into my face. And the beat variation in the breakdown keeps the groove moving without staleness.

    Bryan screams how we scream when we gotta let it out.
    it feels raw and relatable.

    Knocked Loose are one of the few bands ive been generally impressed with in recent years and saw them twice last year in Leeds and then at Outbreak Fest in Manchester. Hoping to get a ticket for them playing the dome in London in august, which is a 600 cap venue. And the thing mentioned in this video is they have adapted to many different festivals as in August alone there playing Bloodstock which is mainly metal, and then Leeds and Reading fest which are now more mainstream rock and indie.

    The comparison to dance music was accurate IMO, it’s catchy without a verse-chorus structure in the way that a lot of house music is
