This Germany Carnival 2020 video on a cloudy day offers a great way to virtually take part in this years carnival parade in Cologne(Köln), which is also called Rosenmontagszug. I am just standing at the Zeughaus close to Appellhofplatz in Cologne city center (Köln) to show you how people celebrate this years Carnival event in Cologne(Köln), without moving much and just briefly panning my camera to show you the view. One of the biggest cultural events in Cologne/Köln is the Carnival/Karneval (also referred to as the "fifth season") which starts every year on 11 November at 11:11 AM, and reaches its climax on Rosenmontag (Rose Monday) in February of the next year, featuring a huge parade(called Rosenmontagszug), which has many interesting caricature figures of recent topics or public figures, through the streets of Cologne. Karneval ends on Aschermittwoch (Ash Wednesday). Usually days before the Rosenmontag people already gather up to celebrate the event on the street while wearing various costumes. Carnival means basically party time in Germany. I hope you can relax and enjoy this beautiful and long Cologne Carnival Parade 2020 (Rosenmontagszug) on a cloudy day in Germany.
