The most common every day breakfast is bread/brearolls with some cold cuts like ham or the sweet option. Because normaly we don't habe the time to do Fancy stuff. Pancakes and other stuff we sage for the weekend

hello from germany. typical german breakfeasts are bread/bread rolls, butter and cold cut sausageslices, ham or bacon, cheese slices, jam or honey and müsli (believe the swiss invented it). but the ready made müslis in the supermarkets are really full of sugar like all these supermarket cereals. that´s why I mix my own müsli with oat flakes, walnuts, craneberries and oatmilk.

some people prefer black sausage and mashed potatoes with marmelade with whipped cream. But it can only be eaten at 6 o clock in the morning. Thats the tradition!!!

Yes Weißwurst isnt as estetic as a fried Bratwurst but veeeery good and its white because its made with regular table salt insted of nitrate curing salt and not fried but heated just below cooking temperature to avoid the skin bursting in water 😊

Here's what you MUST know abot the Weißwurst:
For a traditional Sunday breakfast at a traditional restaurant in Bavaria, with a pretzl, sweet mustard, and a beer, it's perfectly fine, but while you order other sausages in "pairs", Weißwurst may only be ordered in odd numbers, usually 3 or 5. If you order an even number and eat it, your "little thingy" will never rise again, so be warned! Same will happen if you ordered 3 but only eat 2. Women, however, can eat any amount they like, so tradition demands that men eating Weißwurst sit separate from their wives or girlfriends because there's the story of a man who brought his evil wife to the regulars' table, and after he had eaten two Weißwürste, she grabbed his third one and swallowed it down to take revenge for an affair her husband had, and he became incapable forever. So Weißwurst should always be eaten with caution, it's a dangerous food!

I don't know, if maple sirup is too expensive here. But my aunt from Canada once brought us some on her visit. We tried it once and than threw the rest of that sticky stuff away. It's something we don't need, just like peanut butter.

I think for breakfast it's ok to have a bit more calorie intakte because you burn it during the day. Its just important to balance out your intakte for the rest of the day 😊

I didn't know chocolate on rolls either, and i feel half of this all is made up. Most people eat bread/rolls, eggs, cheese, sausage, jam, quark.

ive never seen anyone in my lifetime eating wafflesas a breakfast instead of teetime
but i never sleeped over at a american soldiers house ,so i guess there are some suggar addicted invaders that do so xD
same goes for pancake , why should anyone cook in the morging if have have fresh baked bread?
i seriously would vomit eating a cooked fatty meal in the morning...

I had this from time to time when I was a child. The taste is kinda comparable to Nutella. I guess you are too young to be familiar with it

I´m German living near Denmark, but because of my work, in all Regions of Germany, i know Bavarian Weißwurst.
In an Bavarian Restaurant, it´s made fresh every morning and should be consumed until 12:00.
And with sweet mustard it´s not that bad. ( BTW. do u gess ur P**** is a Sausage ) ;))

Another story says, Weisswurst is made of the craps swewpt off the floor and than cooked for the poor. They had to eat it before 12:00, so they were out again before the proper guests came in.
