The Blue Caves are among the most visited places in Zakynthos and among its most beautiful natural monuments. Thanks to the light limestone rocks and the sun's rays penetrating the clear water, the sea really shines in a beautiful blue color. You can find the caves on the north coast of the island, in the east in the area between the port of Agios Nikolaos and Cape Skinari, and in the west near the village of Volimes. Most of the blue caves are only accessible by boat. It is best to embark at the port of Agios Nikolaos or under the lighthouse of Skinari.
