Sont forget how pathetic the time violation call was made in the middle of the second set tie breakers at wimbledon 2023. Times to perfecti9n disrupt Novak's rhythm. If not for that, he probably would've won the 2nd set and went on to win the match. He deserved the time violation but much earlier but the umpire kept quiet and chose the most perfect time to call time violation. The ATP is so pathetic that they have tried everything to stop Novak but yet he rules on all accounts.
Bro your channel means soo much to us nolefams. Plz always keep posting and telling the truth. There is no channel which exposes tennis corruption like u, i wish your channell grows up and has million followers
Novak's draw at US Open has been insanely brutal compared to that of the opponent he faced in the final. In 2010, 2013 and 2021, Novak's semi final opponent all but killed his chances of winning the title. In 2011, the draw was equally brutal, but Novak somehow managed to lift the champions's trophy.
Novak wouldn’t have won the title in 2010 and 2013 because he wasn’t as good as 2011 and he faced the best ever versions of Nadal on hard courts. In 2021 it wasn’t just his semifinal match; it was also the fact that he had been playing so much tennis at such a high level that it tired him out.
I've been watching tennis since 1996 and this video is probably the most eye opening and disappointing thing I've ever seen. Thank you for the tremendous effort you put into your research and editing. I've followed other tennis YT channels before but your content is truly unique and high quality!
You just earned my sub. The research and analysis of the events in multiple occasion. It is a fact! That’s why in order to prove that they are the goat, they have to beat the best player. And Novak has done it time and time again.
Not just this, Stan Wawrinka was mostly kept in Djokovic's line-up to the final whenever he was in the best form. I don't know many epic clashes between Rafa-Stan or Fed-Stan except for RG. On Hard courts Stan could have given Rafa very hard times.

US open has been a scandal. Novak being no.1 for many year never had favourable schedule. Novak had to play semifinals last day before finals. This lead to many losses....
There was an SI issue last year in which Jon Wertheim says that the draws are done in tournament directors office, but that he (JW) knows (sic) that the draws are not fixed. Anyway, I have to tell you that I wrote about this on SC back in 2009 or 2010 because at that time there was enough statistical evidence that this was happening, and it was obvious to me. I have still a few points to make here. A certain sporting goods company didn't install their man Robert Helfant to lead the ATP just because he looked nice (he didn't 😉). He was the guy who led the negotiations with Federer when they signed him to, at the time, a record contract. He was there to make sure that every final was the holy grail of finals: Federer-Nadal. Second point: the "tournaments" didn't put any consideration around Murray. He wasn't a problem. Đoković was. Third: RG draw has definitely been being fixed all along, including this year. I calculated around one in 1000 probability for this distribution to happen. Just think about two times a chance to meet in quarters, and it happened both times (12.5 % just for those two draws). Then every time there is a 50% chance that they met in semis, they really meet in semis. The only exception was 2009, and we know what happened in 2009 and who won the RG, and who wouldn't have been in any goat conversation if he hadn't "won" that trophy (who was the president of the ATP then 😉?). Good job, and do one dedicated to RG!
This is a brilliant video. Very informative. I was very much into tennis in that period of 2008-2011 and wondered why Fed vs Djok and Nadal vs Murray kept happening during slams

What you are doing is slowly building the complete picture as to why Novak is the GOAT ... at the end of the day there will always be those whose cognitive dissonance will simply blind them to 'the complete picture' you are creating ..... for me what blows me away is his mental strength .... imagine Roger dealing with Boo's, he'd melt like a snowflake, and he never gave Novak any respect until he realised Novak was going to keep kicking his arse - Rafa you have to respect his fighting Spirit and no doubt he was the King of Clay but I believe even he would have struggled with the years of Negativity that Novak has endured ( and as many hypothesised, his playing style has caught up with his body ) , and lets face it Novak would have won The Aussie Slam in 2022 if he had been allowed to play (just look at the 2023 demolition job on one leg! ) etc etc he's not just the GOAT but easily The GOAT and I can tell by the time you have finished it will be clear to anyone with a clear coherent and objective mind ...... Lastly barring injury or political B/S he is going to finish with a record that will never be beaten - I'm predicting 30+ slams .... I salute you for paying homage to one of the greatest sportsman of all time he's in the Ali /Jordan club.......
Excellent analysis and explanation. It's always been clear the draws are rigged. Especially the US Open is blatant at how easy the draws always are for Nadal.
There is an upside to this blatant cheating. It's that Novak had to play twice as good to get half the results plus the hate. Because of that he became so GOOD that he crushed the others.
So that's why Federer and Djokovic met in all those consecutive US Open semifinals It's unbelievable how Federer and Nadal were still not able to meet in the US Open period, let alone the final

I think they were favouring Nadal most of all. It's natural that the 2nd and 3rd seeds meet in the semifinals. When 1 and 3rd seeds meet its smells like it's rigged. But Nadal always facing Murray who was outside of the top 4 seeds? That's odd. Between PED usage and court overall slowdown feel that Nadal and Djokovic were benefited the most in their careers. Got to keep the tour interesting and the big 3 narrative alive.
@@blond2282 The first grand slam of the year they both won their first doubles grand slam together. Kyrgios unseeded for roughly 2 years gets seeded for the last grand slam (US open) of the year. Of course draws are fixed. It's absolutely normal for organisers to force top 2 seeds reaching finals. Also, it's obvious they favored Fedal, but that just makes Novak's records breaking even sweeter.
It seems based on very solid evidence, especially the one for the three GS (except Rolland Garros). It did not matter much as Djokovic ate them the following decade, alongside peas and plant-based superfoods.
Rule of small numbers vs rule of large numbers? Could the gambler's fallacy explain this to some extent? Thank you for the video btw. It is so interesting seeing how Djokovic has thrived in the past decade. At this point there should be no discussion regarding who is the GOAT.
About the clay matches: based on the H2H at the time, Djokovic was more likely to lose to Nadal than Federer at the time because he had faced Nadal more times (3) than Federer (1) and had the same win percentage (0%) against both, so there is a larger sample size for his matches with Nadal which is more telling. And Djokovic was on Nadal’s side of the French Open draw every year from 2006-10.
Excellent work. Nothing like solid numbers to prove something statistically. Although are you really sure? I mean, a major sports organization being corrupt?! (sarcasm) Organizers will do anything to boost their own pocketbooks. Nothing against Federer or Nadal, they are great players and nothing can take away from that, but Djoker has truly been on another level in his prime. Without so many fixed and easy draws, and the number of slams he has achieved again are, numbers in proof of how great he has really become. Now they are doing even SHADIER stuff by banning him from tourneys altogether because he hasn't been vaccinated. What a pile of absolute RUBBISH. Not vaccinated??? From something that people who ARE vaccinated against (AND boosted 4 or more times) catch anyways? From something that 99.99999% of people survive, vaccinated or not?! Again, numbers are the proof, and I truly feel for Djokovic for being shafted time and time again. Travesty. Thank you for your work and pointing out something most of us were unaware of. I am offended that a sport I love is run by such individuals who are being anything but honorable and fair to all the athletes.
It would not surprise me if that rigging happened as money talks but statistically its not so unbelievable. Ever been to a casino? A run of 10 to 15 consecutive blacks or reds, even and uneven numbers happens many many times. And the chance in Roulette is less than 50/50 as for the 0 and sometimes double 0. 🤔
The thing I find so sad about this though it that it means we didn’t get to see Murray vs dole that often which is a shame cause those two played some of the most exciting tennis imaginable
Very interesting analysis. Thanks for sharing. To me it is real simple. Traditional drawings should have in the quarters - #1 seed vs #8 seed, #2 vs #7, #3 vs, #6, and #4 vs #5. Semifinals should be #1 vs #4, and #2 vs #3. In your scenario of 12 Grand Slam semi’s it was Fed vs Nole #2 vs #3 at 5 different draws, which I think was right and fair, and the other 7 were not the typical usual fair seeding draw.
I have some problems with this: 1. Why excluding Roland Garros ? Sure for Nadal it didn't matter who faced in SF but it did for Federer. Djokovic was an worse opponent than Murray (who wasn't great on clay) yet he was in the same draw 2/4 times. If you want to exclude RG because it's a separate event then you should do the same for each tournament (as they have different organizations) and calculate the probabities separately. 2. Sample size is small. Probability calculations assume that a certain event is repeated to the infinite. Just because a certain outcome happen many times in a row, that doesn't invalidate the overall probability. Take a coin for instance and launch it 100 times. You'll get roughly 50:50 heads and tail but it's very likely you'll get 7 heads or tails in a row at some point. Putting the RG into the equation as well, it doesn't look that bad. 3. I get why Djokovic vs Federer and Nadal vs Murray somehow initially gave better odds to have a Fedal final but at the time both were dominant so it didn't make much difference. Moreover, Djokovic beat Federer in AO SF. Clearly there was an edge Djokovic might have against Federer there so you should factor this in. You assume that these match-ups gave the best odds to a Fedal Final..Not necessarily... you should check tournament by tournament. I'm not excluding though there might have been some fixes here and there but the assumptions for these calculations are too general and the interpreations too biased.
12 consecutive slams Novak was projected to FEDERER and not Nadal and you asking about RG HAHAHAHAH. Djokovic Federer outside clay 2007-2010 was 5:11 in favor of Roger (2011 was 4:0 for Novak, they didnt expect Novak rise) Djokovic Nadal outside clay 2007-2011 was 11:6 for Novak This is clear pattern to make Djokovic Federer match up in order to make Federer Nadal finals more possible, and not only that, to prevent Novak become number 2 earlier.
12 times out of 12 to have draw projected to Federer (not even once Nadal) is rubbish for you, when every time Novak has 50 percent of chance to face Nadal in semifinals and not Federer. Rubbish, hahaha my God. And furthermore Novak was projected to play Nadal in semifinals of RG 4 OUT OF 5 TIMES (2006-2010). you are complete idiot. When Novak rised above all of them in 2011 it wasnt matter anymore cause they knew Novak is far better then them outside ROLand garros
when Murray was not Top4 (which is in 5 occassions) they could have placed him in Djokovics quarter to make the draw more difficult (if thats what was intended). Instead, Nadal had to face him in the quarterfinals several times. So, basically there goes your theory...
@man bat I debunked the video in 5 seconds. By the way, Djokovic was 4-2 in that period vs Federer in those 3 slams, so it didn't hurt him that much, did it?
@@skatershoesfun First of all, that still doesn't explain why Djokovic got Federer in 12 consecutive draws. Secondly, putting Murray in Djokovic's quarter would mean putting him on Federer's path.
@@goatkovic He would have to play only one of them. I thought the whole point about your fixing theory was to make draws easy for Nadal/Federer and hard for Djokovic?
Not to mention that in 2011 Đoković was put in the same side of the draw as Federer was in all of the Grand Slam events. Coincidence? Federer was the only guy who could defeat Đoković that year and it happened at RG that year.
Everything was to favor nasal and nobody else. Grass has been cut longer, clay was wetter, there was more grit on the hard court at the us open and more grit in the deco turf in Australia. Tennis wanted to market to the soccer audience. This is not to say it is nefarious. Growing tennis in Latin American countries is not a negative thing. Remember tennis is a tour and not the Olympics. It’s a show to a certain respect.
It's a really good video with some thorough research However , 1) Roger and Rafa's respective head to heads were not too different with each of Novak and Andy . I mean you can't say that 4:1 and 1:1 are too different or 2:0 and 3:2 are so one sided that you should keep Murray/Djokovic away from Fed/Rafa 2) In fact Djokovic literally beat Fed in straight sets to go on and win the AO'08 . I think beating Fed in straight sets in a grandslam semi outside clay and ending his grandslam final streak since RG'05 semis was a really big statement instead of some ATP matches 3) And there are 9 masters 1000 and the World Tour Finals , draws of which have been completely ignored 4) And RG is given a separate category just cause Rafa was winning seems like cherry picking , even Fed was winning all the grass tournaments back then so why not separate Wimbledon too ? 5)Hell , Fed was winning most of anything outside clay prior to 2008 Which is why these stats seemed at least a bit cherry picked to me . Nevertheless , I agree that the organizers try and give the top 2 seeds at least a lesser difficult a draw
ATP 1000 is irrelevant. I mean even if you remove wimbledon it's the same thing. But keep in mind nadal has never beat djokovic in wimbledon or Australian open so it benefited nadal. And also nadal wouldn't have to beat both djokovic and federer in US open to win it I have to say it was unnecessary but it was either rigged or a 1 in 1 million chance happened.
I don’t think this is definitive but it is ridiculous that nadal gets easiest draws At us open and it always seems like djokovic gets the hardest draws at grand slams out of the big 3. Not just that but at the French open it always seem like djokovic and nadal are on the same side, one of the reasons why they have played 10 times at the same slam which is ridiculously high, no other rivalry even comes close to 10 times at same slam. I know match fixing usually implies the competitors are involved but if this is because of match fixing I think it’s because of forces outside of djokovic/nadal/Federer/Murray direct control
Draws are based on seeding, not names. Third seed should be with first seed 50% of the time. This is happening 6 out of 12 times in your example. These are the facts. No conspiracy here...
I agree with you. I've been waiting to read this exact comment. Took too long though - sheesh. Idiot bruhs duh duh numbers bad, bruh it's all fixed for fedal bruh. Djokovic was #3 for a reason - he wasn't good enough to be 1 or 2. The end. I'd love to see ND vs Rafa in all those draws. Does anyone remember Nole beating RF then losing to Nadal at USO in 2010? It's all fixed.
Absolutely right, thank god there’s some sense still in these comment sections! The way I looked at the 12 slams from 2008-2011 is to see how many times Novak was on the top half of the draw and the bottom half of the draw, regardless of the names in that half. As expected, it’s 6/12 in top half and 6/12 in the bottom half.
If I throw a thousand times a coin and at some point I get a streak of 10 consecutive HEADs, it doesn’t mean that the coin is biased. It means that the author of the paper is cherry-picking data to prove a point. That’s not how you do math, that’s how you do conspiracies.
@@PointNemo9 No mate, that’s cherry-picking at its finest. Cherry-pick some specific stat concerning 2 players, then cherry-pick some specific 4 consecutive years, then discard from them a specifically cherry-picked Grand Slam for dubious reasons… BOOM Grand Slam draws are fixed! And why are we analyzing Murray’s appearances from the start of 2008 when he started playing well at the end of that year?
The manipulation was done to increase the likelihood of the top 2 seeds in the finals. This was associated with higher TV ratings for the final. The slams receive more money for higher TV ratings in the final. It was done for survival purposes. Without the good ratings for the finals the slams would not survive financially. This benefit to Federer and Nadal was not necessarily intended but rather incidental to them being the top two players at the time. Now I'm not saying this is ok, it's actually criminal. I just think the intentionality of benefiting Fed and Nadal still needs to be proven. It hasn't in my mind from what I've seen. To add to this I think that This match fixing did not start in 2001, it started long before this and likelihood is that it did not end in 2011. Also why did they not do further studies since 2011?
very probably true; also it favored Nadal against Federer and Djokovic rather than Nadal and Federer against Djokovic, as it turned out that Federer overcame his issues with Murray, and Djokovic ended up being a much better player than Murray.
@@bogdanpopescu1401 Federer was considered the top player, Indeed he is considered as the player that brought in new tennis fans, more so than any other player in history.

Fun fact is Federer and Nadal never met in the US open
You just earned my sub. The research and analysis of the events in multiple occasion. It is a fact! That’s why in order to prove that they are the goat, they have to beat the best player. And Novak has done it time and time again.
Regardless of whether Djokovic was 3rd or 4th ranked and Fed was 1 or 2, they always were on the same side. That's pretty insane.
Not just this, Stan Wawrinka was mostly kept in Djokovic's line-up to the final whenever he was in the best form. I don't know many epic clashes between Rafa-Stan or Fed-Stan except for RG. On Hard courts Stan could have given Rafa very hard times.
You forgot 2014 AO final didn't you?
@@TheFalx Yeah draw still made Djokovic and Stan play early even then
@@SK-nt4oy Quarter finals is early for you? Besides Nadal was on the side with Federer, I don't think Djokovic would have preferred to play Federer instead of Wawrinka

ONE win and SIXTEEN losses against Djokovic and yet you're saying it was a bad match-up for Djokovic, which is the exact opposite on how this video says the cheat worked right?
This just heavily underlines that Novak Đoković is the absolute GOAT of tennis. Thank you.

I never understood why tennis didnt do a straight bracket system like March Madness Basketball #1 plays #128, #2 plays #127, etc. #2 meets #3 in the semi final and #1 meets #4

Kyrgios vs Kokkinakis 1st Round of the US open says it all. Definitely fixed.
Why?
@@blond2282 The first grand slam of the year they both won their first doubles grand slam together. Kyrgios unseeded for roughly 2 years gets seeded for the last grand slam (US open) of the year. There are 128 players in the draw, 32 seeded players, 128-32= 96. Kyrgios had a 1/96 chance of playing Kokkinakis. In otherwords a 1.04% chance. Which is extremely low but not impossible.

Talking about draws... 2022 RG was utterly disgusting when Nadal Djokovic Alcaraz Zverev were on the same half and the other side was Medvedev Ruud Tsitsipas and whoever
Of course draws are fixed.
It's absolutely normal for organisers to force top 2 seeds reaching finals.
Also, it's obvious they favored Fedal, but that just makes Novak's records breaking even sweeter.

Thats what i don't understand why Fed always drawn with Novak in SF in every US open span that year.. and Nadal always have Murray on his draw
Organizers wanted Federer and Nadal to met in the final cause they will earn more money at the time. That's why they fixed the draws
It seems based on very solid evidence, especially the one for the three GS (except Rolland Garros). It did not matter much as Djokovic ate them the following decade, alongside peas and plant-based superfoods.

True. I always felt why Murray- Nadal match up was so do frequent...
Ugh this is so frustrating to learn about.
great video, reslly enjoying everything you put out
About the clay matches: based on the H2H at the time, Djokovic was more likely to lose to Nadal than Federer at the time because he had faced Nadal more times (3) than Federer (1) and had the same win percentage (0%) against both, so there is a larger sample size for his matches with Nadal which is more telling. And Djokovic was on Nadal’s side of the French Open draw every year from 2006-10.
Excellent work. Nothing like solid numbers to prove something statistically. Although are you really sure? I mean, a major sports organization being corrupt?! (sarcasm)
Organizers will do anything to boost their own pocketbooks.
That is no wonder most times Djokovic has had a rough draw than the other two.
Is it possible that the research paper was purged from the internet forcefully?

That is the fair way to go.
You would think so, but harder to fix when it's set in stone what seeds will face which.
First thing that I do is like the video and then watch it.

I have some problems with this:
You seem like you actually know your stats. Nobody here knows statistics. Even the maker of this video.
12 consecutive slams Novak was projected to FEDERER and not Nadal and you asking about RG HAHAHAHAH.
Djokovic Federer outside clay 2007-2010 was 5:11 in favor of Roger (2011 was 4:0 for Novak, they didnt expect Novak rise)
Djokovic Nadal outside clay 2007-2011 was 11:6 for Novak
This is clear pattern to make Djokovic Federer match up in order to make Federer Nadal finals more possible, and not only that, to prevent Novak become number 2 earlier.

when Murray was not Top4 (which is in 5 occassions) they could have placed him in Djokovics quarter to make the draw more difficult (if thats what was intended).
@@skatershoesfun And it would raise no suspicion that Murray always plays Djokovic, and the winner always plays Federer?
Not to mention that in 2011 Đoković was put in the same side of the draw as Federer was in all of the Grand Slam events. Coincidence? Federer was the only guy who could defeat Đoković that year and it happened at RG that year.

Question: why do they want Nadal and Federer to be matched up? What do they get out of it?
It was way more profitable for the organizers than any other possible final match.
It's a really good video with some thorough research
However ,
1) Roger and Rafa's respective head to heads were not too different with each of Novak and Andy . I mean you can't say that 4:1 and 1:1 are too different or 2:0 and 3:2 are so one sided that you should keep Murray/Djokovic away from Fed/Rafa
2) In fact Djokovic literally beat Fed in straight sets to go on and win the AO'08 . I think beating Fed in straight sets in a grandslam semi outside clay and ending his grandslam final streak since RG'05 semis was a really big statement instead of some ATP matches
3) And there are 9 masters 1000 and the World Tour Finals , draws of which have been completely ignored
4) And RG is given a separate category just cause Rafa was winning seems like cherry picking , even Fed was winning all the grass tournaments back then so why not separate Wimbledon too ?
5)Hell , Fed was winning most of anything outside clay prior to 2008
Which is why these stats seemed at least a bit cherry picked to me .
Nevertheless , I agree that the organizers try and give the top 2 seeds at least a lesser difficult a draw
I do think worldwide Federer is a better GS finals player from a sponsorship perspective than anyone else.
ATP 1000 is irrelevant. I mean even if you remove wimbledon it's the same thing. But keep in mind nadal has never beat djokovic in wimbledon or Australian open so it benefited nadal. And also nadal wouldn't have to beat both djokovic and federer in US open to win it
I have to say it was unnecessary but it was either rigged or a 1 in 1 million chance happened.
They always try hard to push Fed and Nadal to met in the final which would bring more money. That is the reason for fixing the draw all the time.
I know match fixing usually implies the competitors are involved but if this is because of match fixing I think it’s because of forces outside of djokovic/nadal/Federer/Murray direct control
great work thank you for telling the truth!!

Draws are based on seeding, not names. Third seed should be with first seed 50% of the time. This is happening 6 out of 12 times in your example. These are the facts. No conspiracy here...

True but when it happened federer was always ays with djokovic and nadal with murray... it can't be a coincidence.

Oh my god! This is incredible! I can’t believe this hasn’t been exposed!
It would therefore stand to reason that he would be the biggest viewership draw, and as such he was most likely to benefit as networks were certain of very high ( if not the highest) viewership if he was present in the business end of a tournament. It is more likely that Federer benefited the most at the time. It matters not what the subsequent performances head to head have since become.
@@Sbudre agree to disagree; Federer is 5 - 1 against Murray and 6 - 13 against Djokovic at grand slam tournaments. Federer's losses at US Open in 2011 and 2012 were particularly painful and huge set-backs in his career. On the other hand, the advantage of not having to face either Federer or Djokovic in a GS semifinal for a very very long time can not be overlooked.
@@bogdanpopescu1401 I'm arguing that the head to heads I. Subsequent years don't matter in determining who benefitted
@@Sbudre I understand, bit it's not really subsequent years. Murray had the upper hand on Federer for a while only in ATP 1000 tournaments, never in GS. On the other hand, Federer had it hard against Djokovic since 2008.
You put in great works friend, thanks .
