Welcome to the real world. Too many humans = too much competition for jobs, no matter your qualifications there's 1000 of you with the same. You might as well give up until the next pandemic wipes out a huge chunk of them and makes job openeings temporarily more plentiful than humans like the Black Death in 1348 did.

I am a Mechanical Designer of power transformers at SIEMENS (up to 7MVA and 220kV). I just applied once and i got hired as a recent graduate engineer.
I'm sure this place will be busy when the next CME wipes out every substaion on Earth and no one has power for 10-20 years.
