I have the motherboard since July 30 2022. Pros: Love the built-in IO shield. Cons 1st CON - Boot problems. Sometimes, it boots up correctly, and other times it does not. I have un-plugged my power-cord, held the power-button down to shut off and wait 5 seconds to turn on, re-seated my graphics card many times while pressing down firmly to make sure it is straight in the slot (instead of leaning from side to side). I searched the internet for any similar problems, and came across a post on Reddit. I have done other solutions as was listed in this Reddit post like re-seat the ram. If the display turns off automatically due to no activity, I have to shutdown the system 2nd CON - Sometimes the motherboard will reset your bios, and you will have to re-enter everything you had beforehand. Disabling the XMP profile is the work-around. 3rd CON - Display problems. If the display shuts off due to inactivity, The monitor will not come back on whether I type on keyboard or use my mouse. I have reconnected my display cable (Display port cable) and still no go. I have to shut off the system and power it back on. UPDATE - I did fix some booting issues (It booted 5 times straight), but sometimes the motherboard will not boot all the way. It varies. I re-seated the ram. I disabled XMP profile and let it run by by default. Tried to boot 4 more times and it did not work at all. So I pulled the power-plugs from the video-card and reconnected them. Then it booted normally.
I'm piecing together my first ever gaming PC. Going for budget friendly while still having enough future proofing to where I won't need to upgrade everything immediately. I'm going with a ryzen 7 2700x, and very seriously considering this board. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated! Also I'm going with a 2060 super card! 😁

@@Rejin420 the b450 needs a bios update as well, trust me. The vrm of the b450 is good enough to handle the 3600x, but there isn't much overclocking potential for the 3600X. If you want to overclock, choose the 3600 without x.
This board has cold boot issue. Iam using it for 3900x .gone through evey blog for fix nothing helped and also updated bios.even bios settings are not saved.
This is the board I'm looking to get. Don't need all the extra bells and whistles of the higher end boards or all the extraneous frou-frou RGB lighting. The VRM is excellent (12+2). Would have been nice to have POST code readout on this though.
For anybody watching this now, the biosflash was moved from the bottom of the motherboard to the back panel I/O.. this was probably an engineering sample
One more question, I have X570 Aorus Ultra I got everything else installed and the CPU ryzen 9 is coming soon but I like to test my PC quickly but it won't let me power it up, is it because my CPU is not on the motherboard? Can it still powerup without the CPU? I just want to test it, thanks!
@@kuusakat1308 I have this board....it hardly ever turns on even under decent loads. I can't hear it over my case fans which are actually rather quiet. I haven't measured my system, but I'm guessing it's about 29db at the loudest on average, and normally around 20db, or 18db at the quietest. That fan is quieter.
Guys, sorry for the noob question, new builder here. Should I go for 16gb (2x8GB) (dual) ddr4 3600 CL16 G.Skill Trident Z Neo or Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18. Motherboard would be x570 Aorus Elite ryzen 5 3600 and 5700xt GPU. there's a $20 difference between vengeance pro and trident z. Both brand new. Would you go for the corsair 32GB CL18 RAM if there's only a $20 difference?

This board doesn't seem to like Gigabyte's RX 5700 XT. It works with an MSI R9 390, but not my RX 5700. The RC 5700 XT works fine in every other board I have including the MSI x570 MPG.
Yes that's why it's called X570 It support Ryzen 3000 out of the Box itself! But if you own X470 And wanna use Ryzen 3000 you will have to update the bios
For it's price its a very solid board with (most important) a solid VRM setup.. But there is downside with this board imho.. Why are they adding one heatsink for M.2 while there are two on board

I have problem on this mother board I cannot overclok my 4 x 8 gb ram 3200. It working only on 2800 it's all, when I try use xmp profile it's not working. Xmp works only on 2 x 8 gb but not on 4 x 8 gb

I've had this board, and didn't like it. For those thinking about buying, you'll notice the 3.1 usb connector is just right of the pcie port. An xt 5700 couldn't slot in, unless i removed the 3.1 connector; stupid place to put it.

I have an aesthetic with my case and WANT 5-6 case fans. This has what seems to be 2 slots for case fans. SO what do I do? Sadly almost all boards here either have 2 fan headers or horrible sound cards. I have no clue how to pick one. I do not care about VRMS and such, a board is a board. I just want a cheap board that uses PCIE gen 4, but has a decent audio dac, and tons of fan headers. USB-C would be nice, but not needed. @@MatteoSMM No issues at all, I have updated the bios several times without any issues either. I use it 15/16 hours a day. If i get a setting wrong in the bios I usually have to turn it off, remove the power by switching off the power supply and then restarting. This does not happen all the time but it does happen.. It's no big deal...Very stable MB
Has anyone taken off the IO Shield cover? I got the non WiFi version in March of 2020 (Right before PC parts became unobtainum at normal MSRP due to the 'C' word and stupid scalpers) In hindsight I should have got the WiFi as it was only $10 at the time but my question if anyone took that fancy cover off does the non WiFi version still have the M.2 slot as I got a few "extra" cards pulled for PCs for upgrades I can also handle the antenna connections which I hate those microscopic connectors but I eventually get them to stay on. Thanks PS: I like this board however in my honest opinion Gigabyte is no different then Asus or MSI these days nothing draws me to them other then all of my past boards were from them but probably not my next one.
@Gear Seekers. I know it's an old comment - I was looking for the name of the handy front panel connector adaptor lol. The board does support 1600X unofficially, I found out over the weekend when I was building a very low budget build and ran into some motherboard issues. Tested it on the X570 Aorus elite and it booted up without any issues.

because the high end pcie 4.0 m.2 ssd's will come with a heatsink i guess. And of course to lower the costs.

You dont need antennas. This has wifi built in. You could get antennas if you like to improve wifi speeds a bit, but it's not necessary

Yeah, most low cost motherboards dont have alot of fan headers. You can buy a fan hub or splitters. For audio I do not know
What’s the difference between the pro WiFi and the elite WiFi???
The elite has no WiFi card on board while the WiFi one has this in an M.2 slot under the IO Shield cover.

@@MatteoSMM No issues at all, I have updated the bios several times without any issues either. I use it 15/16 hours a day. If i get a setting wrong in the bios I usually have to turn it off, remove the power by switching off the power supply and then restarting. This does not happen all the time but it does happen.. It's no big deal...Very stable MB

Has anyone taken off the IO Shield cover?
I got the non WiFi version in March of 2020 (Right before PC parts became unobtainum at normal MSRP due to the 'C' word and stupid scalpers) In hindsight I should have got the WiFi as it was only $10 at the time but my question if anyone took that fancy cover off does the non WiFi version still have the M.2 slot as I got a few "extra" cards pulled for PCs for upgrades I can also handle the antenna connections which I hate those microscopic connectors but I eventually get them to stay on.

PS: I like this board however in my honest opinion Gigabyte is no different then Asus or MSI these days nothing draws me to them other then all of my past boards were from them but probably not my next one.
can it support a Gen 1 Ryzen (1600x ) cause I want to upgrade to a bigger form factor and later change the CPU

@Gear Seekers. I know it's an old comment - I was looking for the name of the handy front panel connector adaptor lol. The board does support 1600X unofficially, I found out over the weekend when I was building a very low budget build and ran into some motherboard issues. Tested it on the X570 Aorus elite and it booted up without any issues.
