Hi, professional bartender here who actually works as a bartender and bar manager, not someone who's working with social media. If you crush the mint leaves whilst making the mojito, the drink will become very bitter rather than sweet. This is because overmuddling the leaves will not only release the oil but also the small stem into the drink, making it bitter. Instead, muddle the lime, sugar and rum and slap the mint in your palm before adding the crushed ice. This will make the drink a lot fresher rather than bitter. Happy drinking!
John Juhasz, you magnificent bastard! Here's to fighting, stealing and drinking! If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you should check out the whiskey tribe. You have basically stated their number one rule! You are destined to be one of us!
*Old Fashioned* is my favourite cocktail of all time. It is so perfect in every definition of the word. It has one of the most unique tastes of all the cocktails I’ve tasted in my life!!!
What? Well if anyone wants me to take a sip of beer or vodka they will have to eat an entire carolina reaper then drink an entire bottle of everclear or vice versa but they can't drink water or milk or anything else that will save them from the lethal spice and alcohol and can't eat anything that will save them either. i don't even care if it will consider me a murderer if they do it
+who knows Is it because i don't choose to poison myself with what i hate and because i don't like drunks? I never get more than 1 Pina Colada because i am not a drunk, i have no desire to have seizures again, i'd like to be able to drive, i don't want to get sentenced to jail because i raped or killed someone after i got seriously drunk, i don't like the way people act when they are drunk, and my mother was a drunk who died 5 times because she drank so fucking much every single day.
When you have 9 million subscribers, it means that you are broadcasting to a very diverse group of people with diverse tastes. So a different % of the audience likes different videos and most people by and large, welcome the diversity. We understand that most people, if they're not into the topic of a video just wont watch and that a small minority think that we've ran out of ideas or the idea is useless, simply because they personally don't like the video. There's 7 billion people in the world, TH-cam is a billion things to a billion different people. We like variety and diversity, we have a broad range of interests. 1:10 you don't actually crush the mint leaves because they get bitter when you do. stirring the drink already unlocks all the favourable mint flavours.

Stir on ice, pour over an ice rock in double old fashioned glass, squeeze orange strip oils over top & put it in the glass. +Heisenberg It's not Watchmojo, the videos are suggested by the community. Stop whining and go suggest something then, if you're so damn full of ideas. www.watchmojo.com/my/suggest.php
"Adios Muthafuka aka Adios aka AMF" its like an long island but has 6-7 diffrnt shots of diff alchy in it. Hence the name, would get hammed out partying on Vegas with that cray blue cocktail.
Planters punch, mojitos, Moscow mule, stoli orange and iced tea , dirty martini , espresso martini, tanquery and tonic with lime and are some of my favorites.
They put them in the other list. The "girly" cocktail list (cocktails with brighter colors and sweeter tastes). Yes. That is the official term. Why did they not use the official terms?
Piña colada. Or at least the combo i make in the blender. 3/4 lt. pinapple juice 1/4 lt. Orange juice. 1 lemon worth of juice. 1 branch of celery. Concentrated coconut oil (up to you) Ice. Thats all good for a family friendly drink. If you want to add vodka or Rum, go ham. Blend, enjoy. Thats for about 4-5 glasses. Or unless you are me, 2 jumbos for myself.
Actually, you don't, the martini is more booze typically speaking. Some bartenders/bars will do 3oz of spirit, plus fortified dry vermouth. No respectable bar will server you a long island with 3oz total of booze. The reason people think long islands are strong is because of the sugar content mixed into the drink, if its made correctly you will drink it faster not realizing what's in your beverage. If anything it's a rookies drink and telling of someone who doesn't enjoy the taste of the spirit but wants to get fucked up. There's several other examples of stronger drinks that don't actually mask the flavor of the alcohol in them but rather enhance them, making for a slower more enjoyable drink, and someone who knows when to call it quits.
@Broly The Sarcastic Savage I think he said that because "martini" is a more recognizable word than "vesper". Us Americans be dum, especially during the Cold War, so "martini" was easier to remember. Maybe. Don't quote me on that.
So i am that guy who goes to a bar and orders a Whiskey Neat usually Bourbon sometimes Scotch or Rye always a double 😹😹. I will enjoy a cocktail on occasion i do like Whiskey and Coke, Rum and Coke, Whiskey Sour, Old Fasioned, Mojito, Margarita. Never had a White Russian but kinda want to try one. Also never had a Manhattan or a martini and not super interested in them
i think the best cocktail for men is the "black fox" cocktail, its just sooo strong and minty, gives the guy great breath as well haha :D and its a new one too, so thats nice.
Please note that Pisco is recognised by most countries as being from Peru. The oldest cocktail with Pisco being the Pisco Punch, then Pisco Sour both invented by Americans (the first in San Fransisco and the latter in Lima).
I’m sure. Then again, there’s one alcohol I’ve only ever had once, but it was one of the most enjoyable ones I’ve had, it’s just not a cocktail. Sambuca. Not quite as strong as straight vodka, but boy was it fun.
Like my mojitos and I’ve had something that amounted to a Peppermint White Russian that was amazing, but probably the signature drink for me is a Moscow Mule, since it’s the most common drink I order. I also like an old fashioned once in a while. Never been big on Bloody Mary
The bullshit rate is high in this one... You don't want the mint leafes to break up to much, because the Mojito would get bitter by that. Also Rum & Coke and Cuba Libre isn't the same thing - also they aren't even cocktails but longdrinks. (Same for the Gin & Tonic)
+huzkaduzka A cocktail by definition is a spirit(s) mixed with other ingredients. So Rum & Coke, Cuba Libre and Gin & Tonic are still considered cocktails.
Shark Bite (Myers dark, OJ, grenadine); and Planters Punch (Myers dark, Malibu coconut, OJ, pineapple juice, grenadine). There are other recipes, of course.
My favourite cocktail is a Rusty Nail, equal measures of scotch whiskey and Drambuie. You put the scotch in the glass first, then drop in and couple of ice cubes then pour the Drambuie over the back of a spoon so it floats on top the scotch. Both 40% alcohol, a real man's drink.
A Cocktail for Men: 2 oz Single Malt Scots Whiskey [I'm partial to Lagavullen, but Talisker is excellant or Strathearn if you're feeling spendy] 1/2 oz Ice Cube Put both in a glass. Enjoy.
Nikolai Belinski That's one thing I never understood about you english people. Why is it accaptable to call humans "males" or "females". Always has this like... animal/biology ring to it :/
TheGeneralWolf Oh gee. Since when did it become okay to refer to guys like they are some kind of test subject by calling them "men?" I respect women all the time, so don't give me that crap you feminenazi.
Caipirinha and mojito are two different things. Caipirinha is made with cachaça, lime and sugar, tua lime is smashed with the sugar and then shaken. The mojito however, is made with rum, mint, sugar and seltzer
Hi, professional bartender here who actually works as a bartender and bar manager, not someone who's working with social media. If you crush the mint leaves whilst making the mojito, the drink will become very bitter rather than sweet. I just use a spearmint Mentos like a Alka Seltzer and replace the lime juice and club soda with 7-Up and Lime flavored rum.
Also bartender speaking.... I saw that and thought the very same thing is completely wrong on the Mojito

+Heisenberg It's not Watchmojo, the videos are suggested by the community. Stop whining and go suggest something then, if you're so damn full of ideas.
www.watchmojo.com/my/suggest.php
+Heisenberg HAH I see what you did there XD
+TheresNoWay He didn't say he has better ideas than them.
wow...a Manhattan was an honorable mention?
+Tejas Patel that moment when the manliest and better tasting drinks were all honorable mentions but jack and coke gets a position all for itself
+iafozzac hell yeah, Jack Daniels is the shittiest of the shitty and Manhattan's are classic
Bourbon Rickey. Or bourbon with a splash of seltzer. Those are my faves.
how can a long island not be on the list? its got 4 shots of booze
long islands are dope. efficiency!
long island ... change the cointrau/triple sec with blue curacao n top it with sprite... thats for your grandma...
"Adios Muthafuka aka Adios aka AMF" its like an long island but has 6-7 diffrnt shots of diff alchy in it. Hence the name, would get hammed out partying on Vegas with that cray blue cocktail.
U know what i mean dude
Long Islands are vulgar.
The day that a Rum and Coke is better than a Sazerac is the day I hang up my bar towel.
Hey rum and coke is my favorite drink but different strokes for different folks i guess
There's nothing wrong with an occasional rum and coke, but a prize winning cocktail it ain't.
Planters punch, mojitos, Moscow mule, stoli orange and iced tea , dirty martini , espresso martini, tanquery and tonic with lime and are some of my favorites.
You Forgot These Cocktails Are The Margarita The Screwdriver Pina Colada Long Island Ice Tea And The Mint Julep That All Men’s Enjoy Watchmojo!
They put them in the other list. The "girly" cocktail list (cocktails with brighter colors and sweeter tastes). Yes. That is the official term. Why did they not use the official terms?
dammit. my whisky sour didn't make the top 10. 😒🍹
Whiskey sour is pretty damn good.
The drink I wanted to be on the top ten was thugs passion
Solid list, but I was a little surprised that the Long Island Iced Tea didn’t even make the honorable mentions.
Dammit, My Tea with Milk is not on the fucking list
Wtf ware is a picture of Thad castle in the mojito part
Piña colada. Or at least the combo i make in the blender.
3/4 lt. pinapple juice
1/4 lt. Orange juice.
1 lemon worth of juice.
1 branch of celery.
Concentrated coconut oil (up to you)
Ice.
Thats all good for a family friendly drink. If you want to add vodka or Rum, go ham.
Blend, enjoy.
Thats for about 4-5 glasses. Or unless you are me, 2 jumbos for myself.
1 can of Redbull, 2oz of Vodka, and ice!
Mah man! Except I like it with Jäger, but it's nice with Vodka too
+okayyymc3 Jäger bomb.
Chief Keef Sosa yes! Vodka Red Bull: The drink of champions.
Charlie Wolfe Doesn't really matter whether it's made as a bomb or just mixed into the glass, but yeah essentially that.
+Chief Keef Sosa vodka redbull the cocktail of true men
Long Island Ice Tea is the only cocktail I need.
+Sacha Daenens Without a doubt the best, and most manly cocktail ever invented
+Sacha Daenens Without a doubt the most wimpy, most overrated cocktail every made
+Mike Reed
No, that title goes to the cosmo.
+Mike Reed strongest cocktail with 5 different types of alc.....you dont know shit.
2oz Knockeen Hills Extra-Gold Poitín 90%
0.5 Tsp Honey Syrup
1 Dash Rhubarb Bitters
1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Stir.
Serve - no rock.
The drink bond ordered from the Casino Royal is NOT a martini, it is a vesper.
@Broly The Sarcastic Savage I think he said that because "martini" is a more recognizable word than "vesper". Us Americans be dum, especially during the Cold War, so "martini" was easier to remember. Maybe. Don't quote me on that.
I always giggle when I hear Americans try to pronounce Worcestershire.
Wuss-ta-sher.
I laugh a Europeans who giggle. Giggling is for little girls.
tee hee
Lie chester Square
U avin a giggle?
So i am that guy who goes to a bar and orders a Whiskey Neat usually Bourbon sometimes Scotch or Rye always a double 😹😹.
I will enjoy a cocktail on occasion i do like Whiskey and Coke, Rum and Coke, Whiskey Sour, Old Fasioned, Mojito, Margarita.
Never had a White Russian but kinda want to try one.
Also never had a Manhattan or a martini and not super interested in them
screwdrivers are the bomb diggity
i think the best cocktail for men is the "black fox" cocktail, its just sooo strong and minty, gives the guy great breath as well haha :D and its a new one too, so thats nice.
+saza hahaschi totally with you on that one!
+saza hahaschi You want strong and minty? Just do a bartenders favourite, a shot of Branca Menta straight from the freezer! ;-)
Sounds good. Gonna try to order that in places to see who can mix it.
shrek187 most people dont know the drink yet, just search it on youtube and make it yourself :)
Please note that Pisco is recognised by most countries as being from Peru. The oldest cocktail with Pisco being the Pisco Punch, then Pisco Sour both invented by Americans (the first in San Fransisco and the latter in Lima).
you know every man & woman in Russia laughed at this list
LOL
eh fuck em
We drink ot be happy not to impress some frozen dick heads
Every man woman and child in mother Russia 🇷🇺 lol
Doubt it. Straight vodka is not a cocktail.
I’m sure. Then again, there’s one alcohol I’ve only ever had once, but it was one of the most enjoyable ones I’ve had, it’s just not a cocktail.
Sambuca. Not quite as strong as straight vodka, but boy was it fun.
Spirit and Coke isn't really a cocktail is it tho.
A Martini with 3 ingredients is? Once you are mixing it's a cocktail.
2 Ingredients isn't a cocktail, It's an emergency xD
Great list! I'd add the Manhattan and Daiquiri to it! 👍
Where the fuck is my Long Island Iced fucking Tea ?!
Thank you for telling me what ten cocktails I'm allowed to drink...I would so confused!
My favorites in no particular order:
1. Planter’s Punch no. 2
2. Ramos Gin Fizz
3. Mojito
4. Daiquiri
5. Tom Collins
6. Gimlet
7. Corpse Reviver no. 2
8. Sloe Gin Fizz
9. Pimms Cup
10. Frozen Grasshopper I
I used to drink whiskey and Coke
now I have to go with whiskey and sweet tea Damm good 👍👍
I do whiskey with a small splash of ginger ale & lime
A good single malt scotch whiskey, neat or on the rocks, is the only cocktail a real man needs.
Like my mojitos and I’ve had something that amounted to a Peppermint White Russian that was amazing, but probably the signature drink for me is a Moscow Mule, since it’s the most common drink I order. I also like an old fashioned once in a while.
Never been big on Bloody Mary
If it weren't for bond I would have never drank a martini lol
same with me
+StrasbergProtégé and we'd all still be virgins, phew
The bullshit rate is high in this one...
You don't want the mint leafes to break up to much, because the Mojito would get bitter by that. Also Rum & Coke and Cuba Libre isn't the same thing - also they aren't even cocktails but longdrinks. (Same for the Gin & Tonic)
+huzkaduzka
A cocktail by definition is a spirit(s) mixed with other ingredients. So Rum & Coke, Cuba Libre and Gin & Tonic are still considered cocktails.
Shark Bite (Myers dark, OJ, grenadine); and Planters Punch (Myers dark, Malibu coconut, OJ, pineapple juice, grenadine). There are other recipes, of course.
screwdriver? i like that :3 first ever drink and I'll always remember it
Tequila sunrise didn’t make the list huh ? I’m having one right now
Grew up in the '60's. Sundays would be T bone steak, french fries, salad and mai tais.
Rusty Nail -- 1 shot scotch and 1 shot Drambuie
My favorite drink is the hillbilly highball, it is captain morgan and mountain dew.
Waylon Richardson
LOL....(BARF). To each his own
Waylon Richardson q
My favourite cocktail is a Rusty Nail, equal measures of scotch whiskey and Drambuie. You put the scotch in the glass first, then drop in and couple of ice cubes then pour the Drambuie over the back of a spoon so it floats on top the scotch. Both 40% alcohol, a real man's drink.
Pisco is from Peru, not Chile. Get your facts straight
You forgot the seven & seven...my personal favorite old fart drink
Rye and Ginger too, when I was 17yo. the ingrediates were always around the house.
A Cocktail for Men:
2 oz Single Malt Scots Whiskey [I'm partial to Lagavullen, but Talisker is excellant or Strathearn if you're feeling spendy]
1/2 oz Ice Cube
Put both in a glass.
Enjoy.
Up next, top 10 cocktails that females enjoy ^_^
***** Nope.
Nikolai Belinski
That's the kind of thought-provoking answer I expected.
Johnson Taylor ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
>tfw when Watchmojo use the same comment every time to try to defend their videos.
+TheWaltzingWalker >tfw when
+TheWaltzingWalker >tfw when
Caipirinha and mojito are two different things. Caipirinha is made with cachaça, lime and sugar, tua lime is smashed with the sugar and then shaken. The mojito however, is made with rum, mint, sugar and seltzer
7:47 PERUVIAN!!! NOT CHILE
worked 5 years as barkeeper not a single guy has ordered a martini. i dunno how its the most popular drink :D
Poor men don't drink martinis, it's a rich thing
tomasz kubski a good martini is fantastic
It's an iconography thing. The martini is the most recognizable "manly drink" out there, soooooo... =/
@@craigd123 no, I'd picture them having champagne/expensive wines or expensive spirits as well
@@alejandroramirez4470 do you picture a working class man with a martini?
A top ten men’s cocktail list is incomplete without a *Long Island iced tea*
Micheladas need more recognition.
Raul Martinez that's pretty much a bkoody mary with beer
Yeah recognition for worst drinks ever conceived.
