Good idea to get started in collecting, I'm 58 and all my life I just always thought I was supposed to do everything the hard way, I up until a month ago had a skill saw, sawsall, claw hammers, and a couple squares. Then I said I'll try an impact driver, liked that, then an air nailer, then a DeWalt mitre saw and today that same stand you are reviewing so now I might get a few things done xx I'm the past couple years it took my hands a day or two to get back to where they didn't ache from a clawhammer and handsaw.
I love these DeWalt products.
What tipped me off that I was doing things the hard way was when people started asking if my handsaw was an antique and did I want it any longer 🤔
I just received mine and it is the best mitre saw stand I have ever owned. Great review and if anyone is thinking of getting one of these, don't think, just get it ! Brilliant piece of kit
It's junk what it is!
Superb quality throughout, easy to assemble. I found the saw to be highly accurate and a delight to use (I am a homeowner using this saw for various projects). I attached the saw to a folding mobile stand to save space and that works great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe as well. However, you have to be sure the saw is securely locking in position before collapsing the stand. I've had many of the brands over the years and have come to point where I only buy Bosch, the extra money is a small price to pay for the quality and ease of use. Treat yourself to the best.
You’re doing the same thing I am! Bought a circular saw, then needed some longer, straighter cuts so I bought the table saw, then needed some quicker and accurate cross cuts, so I bought the miter saw. Love all my corded Dewalts! Don’t use em every day, but I always buy the best I can so when I do need them, they’re ready to go. Chicks dig a handy fella👍🏻
If she doesn't find you handsome, she better find you handy!
Thank you for your video on the DWX724 mniter saw stand. I've had a dewalt miter saw for 20 years, but just got the stand. I had intended tobuild a wooden stand the saw, but I am so pleased I watched your video. Not only did I learn that this is a great stand, but you saved me the effort and cost of building a special stand as well as tables on each side to make it easy to deal with long pieces. Keep up the great work. Phil
I just bought a Makita compound saw and the saw stand has miserable reviews. I went looking for saw stand reviews and this stand ticks all boxes. This was the best review video ever! Thanks
How did you mount it on plywood ? Iv just tried mounting the Makita 12 inch and it’s sitting to far forward ?
Thanks for taking the time to do this thorough review!
Truly great video Kyle! I bought this stand solely because of your review. Dewalt - Get this guy some tools because I will watch them for his review. Great job
Kyle, thanks for producing this video. Very informative and you covered all the details for your viewers. It would have been even better if you had a Harbor Freight stand and compared them side by side. This would have been a great example of the saying you get what you pay for.
The t track can mount various things . I have the 723 which is just the bigger version . Buy or make the t track nuts and mount an outlet strip on it so your power is right there for other tools That can be used on the stand like a jigsaw or a router really handy . Just an option to look at . Good review
Thank you for the detailed explanation of this stand. O appreciate it.
I'm considering getting this stand and this is the most thorough review I've seen so far.
I was wondering if you considered getting the bigger one over this one , im debating whether to get this one or the bigger one , right now my homedepot is selling the bigger one for 140.00 and the smaller one for 180.00.
@@gustavomacall4949 I did but I have limited storage space and will not be using it very often, so the smaller one made more sense to me. I did end up getting it, along with with the DWS779, and like them both a lot.
I've had what I assume is the older version for years. It has all screw tensioning instead of quick latches. I absolutely love the thing. It's one of the most useful pieces of kit I have. It's a huge time saver for bigger projects.
I love your outlook on tools👊 same here brother
Can you make that video showing the setup after your saw arrived?
Outstanding video of such a beautiful stand.
Looks really good to me....Might buy it, only thing negative i see is no adjustable legs in case you're in an uneven / sloped surface.
You can get extra tabs to go into t track or rip a piece of wood to slide into the t track, attach a make shift ply table. Or tablet extensions for right next to the chop saw (and storage underneath). I have the old and the new stand but I don’t have this shorty. Thinking of the 7 1/4” battery chop saw this shorty stand might be a good match for busting out some siding. 👍🏻
Thanks for doing this video! Helped tremendously…new tool user! 😀
Excellent informative video! I was looking at this to mount my new DWS779 and your video helped a lot.
Only tools I have in my work van are dewalt and milwaukee they are the best bro
Thank you buddy, getting mine today
Thanks for the detail. Really helpful. Other videos were kind of too vague.
Agreed!! Thanks! Glad you found some value in it!
Great vid... thanks for your time.
For the community - I own it & its 5 jillion lbs and everything is beef and adjustable and all except the actual end bd supports are kind of unstable and flip up stop has 1/16” of play and you need wrench or fingers of steel to tighten them. Their strong enough to hold board up but not strong enough during setuo and transport. Also the handle underneath is fine.. but you need another handle on side or something to rotate it without hitting the floor or damage the end bd supports. Has pointy hard corners that damage the bed of your truck too for an extra item to b-^{ch about. Peace! Video Creator - your younger then me so many of my gripes don't apply to your decision.
Hey Kyle - awesome review buddy - thanks ! You mention you already have a table saw - DeWalt too I think. Could you show us on a new Demo if you can mount it on your new Stand please? That’d be so cool !!
Thanks Buddy

Nice guy - my way of thinking. New subscriber
Thanks for the video. Really helpful.
So much better then the old school dewalt stand. I'd like to know how small it folds up. Thinking storage in my van
Thank you! great video
DeWalt is the best . I have a Black/Decker w/ cord 1960’s and am due for a drill . You gave such a great 👍 toutorial on this product that DeWalt should give it to you ..Tell me it’s not going to be located in your shop .. Don’t you have that feeling that your being a little crowded out ? What was that name again “” Kyle’s TTTTTTT RACK THING A MIG JIG ?? 😆
haha I really love Dewalt. I'd say all the top brands are comparable in terms of quality; dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, and so on... hard to go wrong. The stand WILL be located in my shop, but not this shop!

THANK YOU !! I just ordered the Dewalt DWS780, still waiting on it to arrive, and I've been on the hunt for a good stand and surprisingly there are not a lot of videos on this subject. I was on the fence between the Dewalt roller gravity model, or the one from Toughbuilt, but after reading too many bad reviews on both, I'm now leaning towards one of these traditional models and right now I'm trying to decide between your compact model, or the bigger DWS723 model ? Good video !
Thanks for the video, I have the DW725 and it is pretty much just a saw horse/ saw stand. Wish I was able to add the slide extensions to my. Think I"m going to invest in the 724.
So helpful!
Great review! Love all the close up shots.
Is there a way to mount a dewalt table saw on this sand safely for quick and small cuts? It's a great stand but it only works for my miter which I hardly use as a homeowner
I know this is an old video but I still want to comment. And since I just got one, and haven't used it but a few times, maybe I'm just too damn picky. I don't like leaving the supports attached. I see everyone leaving them on and setting the stand on them so the carry handle is up. Over time, this can't be good for them. There's room in the carry handle area for them, but loosely. I'm going to glue magnets in there on the t-slot, and hopefully they will stay in place while traveling on bumpy roads. I wish they'd ask me what I really need when they make this stuff. Good video, thanks.
You need a job in r&d Rick!
Great review. Thank you. And did you make any modifications since you reviewed it?
I purchased the larger one at my local home depot it was on clearance for 140.00 , did you consider getting the larger one ? I know saving space is the main reason for getting the smaller one.
I considered the larger one but from the reviews I saw/read... the carry handle is much more accessible on this smaller version. Ease of portability and storage are what helped me choose.
My neighbor has one and to me. Seems like the material stops have deflection. Not so major for framing a home.. I looking for a stand but I need precision stops. He blew through two sets due to slightly over tightening the knobs on the stops. I'm a huge Dewalt guy but it made me second guess pulling the trigger on buying it. What's your experience?
I would have liked to see how you attach the saw to the stand.
great video, thank you!
Excellent review. Thank you
I feel like the stops aren't very secure and would cause slight differences when making repeating cuts. Is that the case?
Just don’t ram it into it like he was doing! Should be fine.
Is this the same as the DeWalt DE7033-XJ? Looks so much better than the Bosch i was looking at. A little more expensive but seems worth it
Yes it is. The model number in the video is for the American version. My 7033 is arriving tomorrow 👍
Thanks for the video!! How far out do the extensions go? I’m wondering if they make a similar type stand with the stop extensions but with wheels so the saw can stay affixed when folding the stand away.
Awesome review! Remodeling our studio, buying a new DWS780 to replace my 15 year old saw. Trying to decide on the perfect stand and I'm in-between this one and the DWX726. Have you had any experience with that one? Thanks!
So, which stand did you go with? I am also buying the DWS780 miter saw on Black Friday this year. I was looking at that DWX726 stand with the wheels on it but that thing weighs over 60lbs whereas this one is only 29lbs. I'm getting older so I have to start looking at the weights of these items if I load them into my vehicles by myself.
Hi @beri232 , I actually ended up going with the DWX724 and I'm glad I did. I really love it. Obviously I can't say if it's better than the 726 since I've never used that one, but I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Would definitely recommend it. I love the DWS780 saw as well. It's a beast!
@@SlipTheJabPodcast yup…. this is the exact combo I have been thinking about as well
Wow, didn't know these tables were so versatile.
Pretty awesome eh? I'm super happy with it.
They've definitely improved on the one we have at work ,cool man
That's help so much cool revue thanks
Will the feet work to mount a dewalt tablesaw to the stand
What is ur personal mind can I use this stand for Makita mlt100 thx
The quick release locks round the bolt inside easily if someone overtightens them. Ive had to fix mine twice from people not knowing to be gentle with it.
Can this be use as a table saw stand as well?
Setting mine up yesterday and one of the spring clips broke when I squeezed the handle on the bottom of the mounting bracket for the saw. Taking it back today. Mickey Mouse bullshit the part that will get used often is weak. I know there are third party replacement clips but for $200 with tax you expect it to be good out of the box.
Hey great video very helpful! Can this stand be used for hand cutting lengths but also for cutting sheets?..what would you recommend for large or long boards?
Can you use this stand for Dewalt a job site table saw?
Nice review thx.
DeWalt should have made at least one of the leg-tips adjustable for non-level floors.
Possibly the best intro for any modern day male.
Does anyone know why mine is very wobbly? One of the legs just seems... not long enough. Not sure what to do
I'd say there is a far better chance your floor isn't perfectly flat?
@@kyle_noseworthy no I took it outside in multiple different places as well
Does it come with the bolts to install the miter saw with?
Mine did in the U.K.
Great review
You forgot to include the link for the saw you have on the way.
I didn't think it appropriate, since I wasn't able to show the saw!
are you a relative of Darryl Noseworthy?
That individualism... sigh. I wish we lived in a world where borrowing things you don't need all the time wasn't so stigmatized.
Nice stand man :)
You need some wings.
Bruh you didn’t even show the main purpose of the stand…lol wtf
Thanks for the helpful video!
