Have you used the air fryer more at this point? I am torn on this version vs the older standard BSG vs the Camp Chef unit. Appreciate advice. I am wondering how useful the air fryer will be. Thanks in advance.
Found one at Walmart 50 miles away. Assembled this morning. Took me about 4 hours, Assembly instructions are easy to read and the actual assembly is pretty easy. I took my time and made sure it was done right. Very Heavy Duty. Takes 2 people to handle loading and unloading, Gonna try it out tonight for the first time. Great review my friend!!!
Thanks for the info. I myself have upgraded to the air fryer model and was looking for information about the air fryer. My other one was a little wobbly but the new one is a tank. Black stone did there homework and built a great unit.
Great review as always Mike. I just put mine together today, and have a quick question on the air fryer. Unless I overlooked it in the book, Do I remove the 4 little rubber pieces on the trivet plate inside the basket?? It looks as though it’s made to remain in place, but I’m concerned that they will burn up
Everyday BBQ & Cooking thanks for the quick response Mike. No need as I did have it confirmed. The rubber grommets do indeed stay in place. Can’t wait to see what you cook up on this thing. I’m a big BBQ guy. I have 10 grills/ smokers, but this is my very first dedicated flat top, and the only reason I decided to finally get one was 100% because of what I’ve seen you do with it 👍👍
Loved the video. Thanks. Very informative. Could you tell me how much heat comes out from the back. I know the sides have been known to melt plastic bottles. The spot where I will be using mine the back would be near vinyl siding. I’m smart enough to know not to have it touching the wall. I would leave space …. but are we talking feet or inches away that it needs to be away.
It gets pretty hot all around it I think if you leave it a foot or two away you’ll probably be fine but I think the Manual address is that as well and has recommendations to.
I have been thinking about getting a new flattop and giving my 28" Blackstone to my brother. I will definitely take this model into consideration. Thanks Mike for putting out another informative, useful, quality video.
I switched the shelfs around because I didn't like having dangly utensils right in front of my propane access. Works great with magstrip on back right. Thanks for vid :)
Great! I was doing smash burgers just last week and I always do thick cut bacon, onions and mushrooms. I thought “boy those warming bins would be nice right now”. Looking forward to it.
Good review! Quick question: 1) Do you think its possible to swap the tank to the right side and ignition cord to the left side by simply swapping the parts? (Warming drawer to the left etc.)
Great review! I Had bought this model a week before seeing your review. I was not familiar with Air Fryers but so far I’m very impressed! I have cooked crinkle cut fries and sweet potato fries, just remember to shake or stir them often. I also have cooked bake potatoes that turned out great, again turn often. My wife loves it, we haven’t hardly cooked inside since Purchasing!
Yo Mike, glad I found you channel. I just retired as a mailman plus military time in the Marines. I'm starting off by getting this Blackstone Griddle with Airfryer. Then plan on watching your videos on how to season it and then learn everything I can; absorb experience plus knowledge with Everyday BBQ & Cooking. Just a glimpse of those tacos had my mouth savoring some tacos. You the real deal, I plan on learning as much as I can and eating good too. Subscribing to your channel right now.
Ok Mike good as always! Now on to the air fryer video. We bought an air frying and are not impressed. This one being propane may have enough to do a good job?
Thank you very much for watching, Robert. So far the air fryer has been pretty impressive I haven’t used it very much but it has done good with what little I’ve done in it.
Mike - thank you for the review- I want to build this into an outdoor kitchen. Can you tell me the height of the main unit (without the legs)? It appears it can standalone without them. I am hoping to place this on a platform that's built into the kitchen
I definitely can. It’s late here now but if you email me at everydayfamilybbq@gmail.com that will serve as a reminder for me. Thank you very much for watching 🙏
Excellent video Mike. I’ve had my eye on that thing. My local Walmart has them in stock. Keep up the great work my friend!! Can’t wait for future videos of that beast.
Great video! Interested in getting this Blackstone and your vid answered a number of questions. I have the tailgator and works great for setting up a basecamp. I did have a regulator problem (not enough gas) and bought an adjustable regulator and problem fixed. Thanks!
The Everyday BBQ & Cooking videoon the BLACKSTONE GRIDDLE with AIR FRYER COMBO was very informative. I also want to see some of the cooking videos. Thank you for the information
Lol. Hopefully I’ll remember for next time 😂. Thank you very much for watching, Ry! I’ll be filming our collab this week I hope. Be safe, brother. Cheers 🍻
It looks like your porch is like mine a 3 season room. I am thinking of getting this same Blackstone. Do you have any issues with using a griddle with a celling over top such as heat of grease? Is this model only available through Walmart? I think the price that I seen was about $526. Does it have to be pluged in to ignite the griddle? Thanks Much....Great Video!!! Mark in Cleveland Ohio
So far no issues with the porch except cleaning some grease splash now and then. The power is only for when using the air fryer for the fans. Other than that it works just like the others! Thank you very much for watching!
Great video! Been waiting for your review. I will be buying this model this year! Also on my list is the Masterbuilt 1050 gravity smoker :) Thanks for the great content.
First time here....looks like a good place to visit! Great video man, i'm a new Blackstoner and just got my airfryer last week. (Bought the 17 inch tabletop 2 weeks ago until the airfryer was back in stock) i love my Blackstones already and cant wait to learn more recipes!Griddle on bro! Subscribed!🍻
Do you have an update video now that you have had this for a while? :) I would think those soft touch controls are going to turn to goo after a while especially after its been super hot outside like in Texas. Most soft touch stuff will die after a few years when exposed to heat.
Hmm... I may end up getting one of these. I've been loving my little 17" one. The only problem is that it'll have to stay in my garage when I cook which is probably fine since that's what I do with my 17" Blackstone. My only remaining concern is price and of course height since I'm 6' 3". I'll go take a look at their specs. thanks, Mike.
Great video. Can’t wait to see some cooks when using the fryer and warmers. Will definitely be buying this soon. Also, glad to hear it’s a bit taller! I am 6’6’’, that’s going to be nice for sure.
Mike, air fryer comment, yes you always need clean drawers....lol ! That new BSG looks great ! Congrats on your new griddle! Great review ! Be well and stay safe !
It serves its purpose just like other cookers. I love coals and smoke too. I do like to change it up a lot though. Most of my best burger creations have come off a flat top. I also love breakfast, fajitas, etc. this knocks that stuff out real nice!
Just saved me some money by watching this video. I have the older pro series that doesn’t have the attached lid. I almost did some trading to get the air fryer model until I saw this video saying I can’t use natural gas with it.
Great video sir! Is Walmart the only "big box" store that offers this model? Would much prefer to buy from one of the home improvement stores like Lowe's or Ace! It's for my Dad for Father's Day, and he really dislikes Walmart lol
I wish they would make it so you could read the temp. setting on the knobs without having to bend down to see it.It's a small pet peeve of mine. Thanks for the review
There have been no changes to this that I’m aware of but it’s really not a big issue unless you’re in a very windy area with no way to shield the wind.
Thank you for your review. I just fired up my Blackstone grill recently for the first time. There are so many issues with it that I don’t recommend anyone buy it. First, on a windy day, your grill is basically useless. Only the center heats up. I had placed a plastic container on the side shelf which melted from the wind causing the burner flames to spread, I almost burnt my hand grabbing the container. This grill is intended to be used outdoors but only when there is no wind or if you spend more money buying wind guards which is ridiculous. The air fryer fan makes a loud rattling sound, so loud that it is unbearable and disrespectful towards your neighbours. The hinges on the lids are simply one cheap screw which bends and won’t last. The grill cover which must be purchased separately is heavy duty, however, is at least 1 foot too short and exposes the bottom shelf which quickly fills up under the rain. Why is there no drain holes on the bottom shelf and how cheap is Blackstone for selling you an expensive cover that only goes down half the grill?
I'm curious if the flip top is " tight" enough to be mouse proof. Really hate it when the little buggers leave their little " calling " cards all over the place. Reminds me of pellet grills, but that's another discussion for another time 😁🐁. Anyway have a great day. 🌤👍🍻
@@EverydayBBQ thanks for the reply. I would think someone would make a tight enough lid to keep them out. I live out in the countryside with fields os grasses, trees and a river. Despite Hawks, coyotes, Owls, weasels and my cat nothing puts a dent in their population. Thanks anyway.
Nice, an airfryer that cooks and heat up by flame an no oil, love it. I have a electric airfryer and I love it, air frying is healthier than frying in oil. It cuts calories by 70% to 80% and has a lot less fat. This cooking method might also cut down on some of the other harmful effects of oil frying. haven't had any issue with my black stone just only with the igniter sometimes i have to use a candle lighter to ignite it.
@Chucky chuck Hey quick question: so does the Blackstone Griddle Air Fryer combo, more so specifically the ‘air fryer usage’ need to be connected to an electric outlet to air fry food? Or does it work fine just with the propane gas? For example, say I’m out in the street cooking, can I use both griddle and air fryer without electric outlet?
Damn, I missed the live stream... Awesome review brotha Mike... That BS is a sweet one, and with the added airfryer totally takes it to the next level👍👍... Stay safe and cheers brotha🍺🍺
Nice nice job you ain’t helping me lol. Love my 22” all I really need but I want one of these, keep trying to justify $ but I can see one in my future. Keep ‘em coming
Sorry, Adam. I actually just copied that from my last video. Pretty sure this model is only available at Walmart as of now. Thank you very much for watching 🙏
I'm new to griddle cooking, but I ponied up for this model based on the apparent versatility. So far I have not used the air fryer, but I love the griddle. Sorry, poor neglected BBQ.
Subscribing because I like your style. Got the AirFryer Combo for father's day. Got it seasoned and I think i'll do pancakes and beacon on it for dinner. Good product, but Blackstone needs to step their game up. I can't even register my griddle because it isn't in the drop down and I can't get any to answer my emails or phone calls. Covid 19 isn't a excuse. Staff should work from home, forward calls, this isn't rocket science. The get a D grade for this.
I can’t argue that, Freddie. Although things are weird now, they still need to find ways to take care of their customers. After all, they haven’t stopped selling them during this time lol. I appreciate you subscribing and hope you enjoy the channel. I’ve got LOTS of Blackstone videos for you to check out. Blessings 🙏
Quick question, anyone who has this unit left with a bunch of unused washers after putting together? Did I miss something in directions?! Thought they were for leveling the flat top but they don't fit for that. Hmmmmm.....
Why does Walmart carry different black stone griddles compared to ones blackstonegriddle.com they even have a different model number or I’ve even seen some with the logo adventure ??? Are ones with logo adventure are those still built by black stone ??? What would be the newest model of the 36 griddle without the fryer
Yea but what I’m trying so say is that are Walmart products (Blackstone griddles) are they built with the same quality as the ones with the website even though Walmart get different models compare to the website
@@EverydayBBQ And they will be chronicling my favorite part of the Bulls story, when they had to vanquish the hated Pistons! I cannot wait to see Detroit walk their beeeeatch @sses off the floor after getting bounced in 91'.
@@EverydayBBQ On another note, it be nice if the Bears passing on safeties Delpit and Winnefeild in the 2nd round doesn't come back to haunt them. I know that Cole Kmet is a flashy pick but rookie TE's rarely make any impact at all.
The reason the natural gas isn’t available is because you need a gas fitter ticket to install it by law. I work in the pipefitting and plumbing industry. I know a guy who installed a gas stove range with out a ticket. It ended up burning down a 5 million dollar apt complex. The judge gave him his choice of 10 years in jail or a 600k fine... his wife divorced him and he is still paying off the fine and lost everything he owned.
Please forgive, but I'm a little disappointed in this "Air Fryer Full Detailed Review". (I already knew not to put too-hot food in my mouth.) I am hoping for more of your opinion (which I DO value) of the air fryer's performance - particularly how it performs in cooler/cold climes. You and I are within several miles of each other, I'm pretty sure. Despite my disappointment in the dearth of air fryer feedback, the majority of your review is quite helpful and has me hopeful re this model. Thank you for that.
Very impressive unit! Adding the air fryer ability was pure genius! Great review Mike!
Thank you very much, brother! I hope you and the family are staying safe and healthy! Cheers 🍻

I totally agree with your comment big boricua
Thanks for the video. I was surprised to find that no one describes how to use the air fryer in detail like you do. Very helpful and much appreciated.
One of the things I forgot to mention in this video is the very comfortable cooking height of the cooker. Much less stress on the ole back than the original BSG. I’ll add to this as I think of things...

Did you simply detach and move the magnet to the right? Need to drill holes or use self tapping screws. Thinking I'll do the same.
Very impressive! I’m thinking about upgrading my Campchef to this one. I got the same campchef you have. What’s your opinion on upgrading
Not a bad move. Larger cooking area and more comfortable cooking height.

Good review! Quick question: 1) Do you think its possible to swap the tank to the right side and ignition cord to the left side by simply swapping the parts? (Warming drawer to the left etc.)
Thank you very much for watching, Pete. I do not think the swap is possible.
I think this is the model I’ve landed on also. Great review and I look forward to giving one a try in the very near future
Thinking about going with the 30XL with one large air fryer (size of 2 baskets) reason for that is having to move it in and out of garage often.

Very good review of this griddle! Thank you, how long by years do you think this griddle will last on a covered porch with Texas humidity?
If you keep it cleaned and seasoned there’s no telling. I’d say a long time 👍🏼
How often do you re-season? Or is that part of the cleaning process each time you use?
I clean and oil after every cook

Do you have an update video now that you have had this for a while? :) I would think those soft touch controls are going to turn to goo after a while especially after its been super hot outside like in Texas. Most soft touch stuff will die after a few years when exposed to heat.
Deneteus mine is still great. Use it a couple times per week.
I kinda wanted one but always on the back burner of things to get. Now I totally want one! Great video
Thank you very much, Fernando! I sincerely appreciate you watching and commenting 🙏
What an awesome Blackstone Mike, you also did a fantastic review :-)
Thank you very much for all your support, JayT!
How would you compare the new blackstone to your camp chef?
I did a video on that. Look at my main page and search you’ll find it.
look forward to your videos mike keep up the great work
Thank you very much, Shawn! As always.. cheers 🍻
Great review Mike, and an Airfryer must be a first for a BBQ?
For me at least lol 😂. Thank you very much for watching, Mayhem!
The height on this one is MUCH better than the first version much more comfortable.
Great video. Can’t wait to see some cooks when using the fryer and warmers. Will definitely be buying this soon. Also, glad to hear it’s a bit taller! I am 6’6’’, that’s going to be nice for sure.
Yea it’s definitely more comfortable for me too. I’ll be filming on it all summer 👍🏼
Thanks for the fast replay last night. You now have a new new sub with notifications on! keep the vides a coming, thank you....
Thank you for the support! I always try to be conscious of felled with people. It’s one of the things I enjoy. Cheers 🍻
I just got mine today and im ecstatic about it 🔥🤩
Enjoy!
Mike, air fryer comment, yes you always need clean drawers....lol ! That new BSG looks great ! Congrats on your new griddle! Great review ! Be well and stay safe !
Thank you very much, DD 🙏. You do the same!
Would you say that this Blackstone with Air fryer is the best griddle that you have reviewed? This one compared to Pit Boss?
It would be hard to argue that. It’s quite nice.
@@EverydayBBQ you know you don't have to be politically correct....Ha! Ok, the blackstone with Air fryer vs. Nexgrill?
Same
Great Vid Mike, as usual. Not a huge gas fan, but it looks like a solid cooker
I thought I’d seen them at Lowe’s, Dick’s etc. but I’m not sure to be honest. Stock is also an issue.
Only sold at walmart
Been waiting for this. Driving, so it must wait a tad longer🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Tommy. Stay safe, brother! Cheers 🍻
I love the blackstone but my air fryer on my stop working after the second time. So now I have half a grill to use. Not happy.
Contact them. I’m sure they can help.
what are the dimensions of the fryer baskets? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere online, thanks!
I don’t know off hand. I’ll have to measure them
@@EverydayBBQ thanks
Just got mine yesterday. Are the drawers interchangeable? Does it matter what drawer goes where?
They’re all the same from what I can tell.
Everyday BBQ & Cooking thank you for the quick response!
No problem. My pleasure 👍🏼
What do you do when the air fryer will not ignite? Used it once but won’t light now.
Contact Blackstone
Got my blackstone today’s, can’t wait to assemble 😁
Love it. Thanks for the review.
Thank you very much for watching!
I hit like a 14 seconds just coz I know Mike dose amazing content thank you for all your help with my channel mate I really appreciate all your help
Thank you very much, Rich! It’s always my pleasure.
Nice review Mike😎👍
Thank you very much, Steve! Stay safe!
What about the wind for the flame going out
Nice video
Took me 30 minutes to assemble
Heavy duty product
I wish they would make it so you could read the temp. setting on the knobs without having to bend down to see it.It's a small pet peeve of mine. Thanks for the review
I’ve cooked on these for so long and never really worried about it lol. Thank you very much for watching! I sincerely appreciate it 🙏
Great review
Will the air fryers work as warmers when not turned on?
No, they have to be lit as far as I know.
Would love to replace my old front grease drain with the new air fry model. Thank you for the video.
Thank you very much for watching, Andy. That was the exact move I made. It’s a whole new world.
Nice product, would not mind having one but i guess Blackstone wont export anytime soon :/
I wish they would. You’d love on of these, Lasse! Hope you are well!
Did they address the wind issues with burners?
My cover fits over the entire cooker and goes to the floor. Perhaps you have an aftermarket cover. The wind issues can be annoying for some people.
@@EverydayBBQ It's a Blackstone 28in cover, goes down half way, picture is also on their web site. Poorly designed.
How has this been holding up for anyone that has bought it in the last few years?
great review thanks
Thank you very much for watching and supporting the channel!
I'm curious if the flip top is " tight" enough to be mouse proof. Really hate it when the little buggers leave their little " calling " cards all over the place. Reminds me of pellet grills, but that's another discussion for another time 😁🐁. Anyway have a great day. 🌤👍🍻
It’s definitely not gonna keep them out. Nothing will honestly if they’re around.
I had a small igniter issue on my old one but it started working again somehow lol.
@Chucky chuck
Hey quick question: so does the Blackstone Griddle Air Fryer combo, more so specifically the ‘air fryer usage’ need to be connected to an electric outlet to air fry food?
Or does it work fine just with the propane gas?
For example, say I’m out in the street cooking, can I use both griddle and air fryer without electric outlet?
You need electricity for the air fryer
Damn, I missed the live stream... Awesome review brotha Mike... That BS is a sweet one, and with the added airfryer totally takes it to the next level👍👍... Stay safe and cheers brotha🍺🍺
Thank you very much, Brotha Luis! I hope you’re safe and well! Cheers 🍻
Best thing to make with an air fryer is buffalo wings. No flower just throw them as is sause after. It is the best wings youll ever have
Definitely gonna give those a try 👍🏼
Nice nice job you ain’t helping me lol. Love my 22” all I really need but I want one of these, keep trying to justify $ but I can see one in my future. Keep ‘em coming
Lol thank you very much, Jon!
Awesome upload my friend. Hope you will keep in touch. #MomsYummyCooking
Thank you for watching 🙏
Very complete review. I am holding off on buying anything made in China right now, but looks like a nice design.
Understood. Thank you very much for watching, Sparky 🙏
You’ll be glad to know this grill is being donated to a local Vietnam Veteran tomorrow. I can’t wait!
The amazon link is not bringing up the air fryer version
Sorry, Adam. I actually just copied that from my last video. Pretty sure this model is only available at Walmart as of now. Thank you very much for watching 🙏
I was going to get the Camp Chef until I watched this. This looks really nice.
Indeed it is, Keith. They’re both good brands. This new one is really impressive though.
Everyday BBQ & Cooking I just looked on Walmart and they don’t have the new Blackstone.
Might be out of stock. It’s a Walmart exclusive from what I understand.
Everyday BBQ & Cooking Okay. Thank you. I will keep a look out for it.
good vid, Mike
Thank you very much, James!
I'm new to griddle cooking, but I ponied up for this model based on the apparent versatility. So far I have not used the air fryer, but I love the griddle. Sorry, poor neglected BBQ.
Lol thank you very much for watching and supporting the channel, Mike 🙏
Are you still liking this model? Do you find yourself actually using the air fryers still?
Not much but I still enjoy the cooking height
Hmmmmm.....
The washers go between the silver accessory hooks and the side tables.
Yes! That’s right. I remember being a little confused over that but then it clicked.
I think this answered my question, Blackstone or camp chief
This new model is hard to beat honestly. CC still makes a great product. I’m just being as honest as I can be.
Why does Walmart carry different black stone griddles compared to ones blackstonegriddle.com they even have a different model number or I’ve even seen some with the logo adventure ??? Are ones with logo adventure are those still built by black stone ??? What would be the newest model of the 36 griddle without the fryer
Pro series. Some of their models are exclusive to wal mart. That’s their choice. I wish they’d carry directly.
So I’m better of buying a black stone directly thru there website to get the quality
Not necessarily. Anywhere you like that you feel comfortable with.
Yea but what I’m trying so say is that are Walmart products (Blackstone griddles) are they built with the same quality as the ones with the website even though Walmart get different models compare to the website
Yes, no difference.
I can't get my air oven to come on
Ok contact Blackstone
"Like Mike- if I could be like Mike. I wanna be, wanna be.."
lol last dance continues tomorrow!
@@EverydayBBQ And they will be chronicling my favorite part of the Bulls story, when they had to vanquish the hated Pistons! I cannot wait to see Detroit walk their beeeeatch @sses off the floor after getting bounced in 91'.
Yessir! I remember it well!
@@EverydayBBQ On another note, it be nice if the Bears passing on safeties Delpit and Winnefeild in the 2nd round doesn't come back to haunt them. I know that Cole Kmet is a flashy pick but rookie TE's rarely make any impact at all.
Agreed. I think Pace is really trying to have an Offense this year. He’s going all in. This could be his last dance lol.
What is your opinion of letting an outside source put it together? Mine is that nobody is going to care about it like you care about it
If you can do it yourself, that’s the best way to go.
👍👍😎😎
The reason the natural gas isn’t available is because you need a gas fitter ticket to install it by law. I work in the pipefitting and plumbing industry. I know a guy who installed a gas stove range with out a ticket. It ended up burning down a 5 million dollar apt complex. The judge gave him his choice of 10 years in jail or a 600k fine... his wife divorced him and he is still paying off the fine and lost everything he owned.
Please forgive, but I'm a little disappointed in this "Air Fryer Full Detailed Review". (I already knew not to put too-hot food in my mouth.)
I am hoping for more of your opinion (which I DO value) of the air fryer's performance - particularly how it performs in cooler/cold climes. You and I are within several miles of each other, I'm pretty sure.
Despite my disappointment in the dearth of air fryer feedback, the majority of your review is quite helpful and has me hopeful re this model. Thank you for that.
The air fryer works just like my indoor air fryer. I did not put it through lots of tests but I can tell you that it does work as it’s supposed to.
You seasoned started off with bacon , what about us non pork eaters 🤢
Use oil at first then some fatty beef.
What the hell with you people wearing chip on the head ?
Pls take some writing classes so we can all understand what you’re trying to say.
I have same model, Great product
How easy would it be to add that lid to the old ones?
It won’t work without modifying the griddle. The new one has holes for the screws, the old one does not.
