- This brutal Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was raced to a 5th Place Overall on the last Knox Mountain Hillclimb. Powered by a 600Hp Naturally Aspirated.
This Spaceframed Race Car from 1995 caught everyone´s attention due to its V8 Soundtrack and the spectacular driving style of Mr. Jensen which incuded plenty of controlled sliding. And that at the wheel of such an unforgiving Monster is always a big plus.
That thing is cool as hell.
The driver was having a blast for sure, and it was certainly something very different when it comes to hill climb cars 👍🏻
You can see how downforce is important in hillclimb. Really cool to see this kind of car there, this is crazy!
When you're a Nascar fan but wanna try something new
This reminds me of the Camaro LM Race Car that Gran Turismo has.

Mid-'90s GT1/Trans Am racecar.... so basically it's a Super Late Model stock car.

Well, it IS a stock car. Trans-Am cars are stock cars that race only on road courses.
I fell in love with the design.
They looked awesome in racecar trim! And they do sit a little high from the factory... Drop em down with a nice flat stance is perfect on these cars 👌I have a '98 Z so I can talk a little smack 😂

Not NASCAR, but Trans-Am (though yes, they're both stock cars). Trans-Am cars race only on road courses.
After seeing the g56 camaro, i always wondered if anyone tried using a 4th gen body as a "homage" to it. This is one of the few trans am ones i can see that doesnt have the usual wing, but the stock car style spoiler. My dad owns a 4th gen z28 (not the facelifted version) and i had a little fanboy moment when imagining what it would be haha
Reminds me of the various vintages of Nascar that I see at SVRA events. They make a hell of a growl, and are actually pretty sharp for how laughable they look.
Needs more tire under that thing, but that guy can wheel it well!

With a big ass diffuser and a big rear wing, the back end would be planted making this car much more effective for Hillclimb.
