Those Boss 302’s were ridiculously fast as well!! Coming from a 68 Camaro owner. Gotta love and respect Ford for going to LeMans and destroying everything!
That's one of the purest moments in gear head history - when +Jessi Lang fires up that Camaro you can feel the emotions! Wishing you continued success in your recovery. Keep the J turns coming!
*ADORE TRANS AMs!!!* ... Watching this track unfold reminds me of my FAVORITE 10 MILES OF BLACKTOP- ROUTE 39, between Springville NY & Arcade/Chaffee, NY... ALL those turns, cork screws, blind curves, quick rises & descents... I take them at 90mph IF I'm lucky enough to hit that stretch w/NO TRAFFIC!!!!.... It's a serious DRAG getting behind a slow-poke cause THERE IS NO AVAILABLE AREAS TO PASS... a solid double yellow the entire 10 miles!!! ....but *WHAT A THRILLING 10 MILES!!!* 💜💞💜
JESSI, so glad your back, your fans have missed you, and I'm happy your love for cars hasn't been tainted too bad. You're the reason I came to MT in the first place
It's great to have you back Jessi! I couldn't even watch your last video all the way through without feeling physically ill after learning all that you had to endure. I can't even fathom the pain you felt or the emotional anguish you had to suffer through. That being said, it's such a joy to watch you come back to this channel. I always enjoy your excitement in describing your experiences, your unbridled passion and getting to witness you experience what most of us can only dream of. You have a gift of expressing and putting into words what I can only imagine what it must be like to get behind the wheel of these special and unique vehicles. You're very lucky to have the job that you have. And you deserve every moment of ecstasy it provides. Keep up the great work!
Hey Jessi!!!!! I saw a quick preview of you climbing into the track car during your tearful return to MT. Dude, you rock, and you will always rock!!! This is a pure example of "Jessi Finding A Way". I'm glad to see that enthusiastic smile again peering over the steering wheel of the cars lucky enough to have you guiding them to your next destination. I look forward to all of your future episodes Jessi. Stay strong, and be well. OH, BTW Thanks for responding to last comment. I really appreciate getting feedback from all of you Big Shots @MT. lol
Jessi Lang I am a huge car fan and didnt even know about you until I saw the video on your accident. You are a survivor. It takes a strong person to go through the injuries, surgeries, physical therapy, and then jump right back into the drivers seat... Your story helps put life in perspective and will be in my mind whenever life gets tough. More power to you!
Great to see your back Jessi and I hope with time the pain you are in goes away. After being in a car wreck myself hearing you describe the noise and the force, I truly appreciate your inner strength to go back to doing this sort of a job.
Wow Jessi! What a way to come back! So proud of you! What a beast of a car! That thing sounded awesome! Great job, keep on kickin butt Jessi! YOU GOT THIS!
Welcome back Jessi! It's awesome to see you back doing what you love!! The J-Turn is unlike anything else on the MT channel with a focus on not only the cars but also the experience. Looking forward to more soon! :D
So glad to see you back doing what you love Jessi, you have been missed dearly. The Motor Trend Channel isn't the same without you. This episode is now my favorite, my dream woman driving the track version of one of my dream cars around one of my favorite tracks. What more could a guy ask for, besides being in the pits waiting my turn, ladies first always
Awesome! I don't know Jessi but you are an inspiration to me, I hope to see more videos's of you driving around badass cars and enjoying them as much as I would. Your love of cars is contagious. Thank you.
Jessi, It is so great to have you back on the MT Channel! You have a legion of viewers that adore the work you have done and all that you will do in the future. May you have a speedy recovery…hopefully... your last surgery. Smile, T.T.
Yeah why even bother going to a track anywhere that has noise restrictions? Isn't that the whole point of a racetrack? I'm sure some keyboard commando will correct me but I'm sorry, this is just one more symptom of what is wrong with this world. Crybabies should not live close to racetracks. No one forced you to live there.
Welcome back Jessi!! Good work, especially while wounded. That 69 Camaro sounds absolutely incredible, even to a Mustang fanboy. Keep up the good work!!
when I see a nice car coming my way on the highway I try to get my windows down as quick a I can to hear the sound of the exhaust as its coming and passing by!! I love the sound of a real exhaust!!
Major Kudos to Steve and Jerry for providing an opportunity for Jessi to run this amazing car. Jessi I've only just become a fan, but I have to say, you are an impressive lady. Domo
I giggled at V/J Racing. But aside from that it's nice to see Jessie back, I thought she got layed off last year when she stopped showing up but it's really nice to see her back, and it speaks volumes about her passion to see her still hop behind the wheel of these cars after what happened to her, so awesome and such an inspiration.
This is the first time I've ever seen this show. 2 things come to mind: 1) This is one of the better car shows I've ever seen. It has all the relevant information with minimal excess and great use of descriptive terms. and 2) Why can't there be more women like this out there that can really appreciate cars and drive like this? You did awesome Jessi. I'll probably be hooked on this show.
Good to see yo back, Jessi. I too was bedridden for nearly a year (with encephalitis), so I can understand how you feel about getting back behind the wheel. I've got a way to go yet, but I'm driving my Cobra, and nothing could be more encouraging.
Hey Jessi, welcome back! Nice to see you back in the seat and back on our screens! =) I'm glad to see your enthusiasm wasn't broken just because your fibula was!
Wish I could drive that car. I went to the Skip Barber racing school at that track. I remember turn 6 and to stay away from rainbow wall. The cork screw was a blast to drive. When I first heard the car start up I knew you were going to mention the sound restrictions. Glad to see you had a fun time.
So happy to see Jessi back, I missed her a lot. Hopefully she can make a full recovery and be back to 100%. She is so brave and has a great attitude. I know I wouldn't be able to handle going through what she has.
I never saw this Jessi before. She seems an EXCELLENT driver. She appreciates the sound of nasty American muscle - primal, brutal, primitive and not apologizing for it. You can tell that exhaust note won her over in a big way. She certainly appreciates and respects this car as much as it's original builder could. And she drove it like a banshee - "YES! YES! more! Yes, please" - her face said as she embraced the car's spirit. I wouldn't mind more of her, I'm happy to have discovered her here by accident.
Awesome to see you back, Jessi. And with a bang, nice video. The car is cool, but not what I'd pick. It's great you focussed on how it's enjoyed. Hope to see more, good luck with the surgery to come.
What a machine! That sound made me go into a hell of a nostalgia trip. The infiniti almost sounded like a electric car in comparison to that monstrous engine. Welcome back Jessi! Best regards from Brazil!
Great to see you behind the wheel again. Looking forward to seeing more videos of your adventures although I understand it may be a while before we see them on a regular basis. Best of luck on your recovery.
Always like going to Laguna, love that track, and the area etc. But I also love the sound of that car and there are - and should be - places where you can make as much of that kind of noise as you want. Baddest V-8 sound I ever heard!
The footage of your recovery was so grizzly, I'm so happy you're back. Now Iknow you said you hate to think back about the details of your recovery but seriously I jsutt have to say I'm so happy to see you back. I remember when you were working for RoadflyTV and I loved you there like I do here. When you reviewed that MASSIVE QX56 and the awesome ZDX. I'd love to see you do an EpicDrivesTV yourself. I's love to hear back!
Motor Trend Channel Best I can do without the real thing......Also a must when watching the review on the F-Type. I enjoyed seeing you radiate pleasure when you fired her up and gave it the beans!
Way to get back into the swing of things Jessi!! You handled that old fossil with ease. Can't believe they capped you at 2 laps because of decibels! What's this world coming too? Can't wait to see more of your vids!
That wasn't a bright decision. A race track should have no limits regardless of what's around it. It's a racetrack. I'm sure alot of paperwork must've been filled out before it was built. Now because of a vineyard it has a sound cap??? Crazy world we live in.
Chris Juarez As I understand it the decibel limits came fairly recently as rich folks build homes closer and closer to the track. It's ridiculous; you knew the track was there and decided to build a home anyway just to complain later.
Oliver Ambrosia They should enforce a clause. If you dare build your home close to this track, be prepared to have loud noises regardless of time of day. If they agree, they can build homes. Otherwise, sawd off! The only place I've seen embrace a full scale ractrack is Daytona. The track is in the middle of the city!! I was blown away when I saw that. I was expecting to go out in the middle of the boonies. Not be right downtown Daytona. lol
Chris Juarez That's California for you. Funny how such a liberal state can be so choosy about which personal rights to protect. Another example is the city of Santa Monica. Their airport has been around since the 30's. There are homes all around it. Residents have been trying for decades to close the airport citing noise/safety concerns. If you are so worried, why did you choose to buy a house in the area? So to summarize, people are stupid.
Glad to see you back at it Jess. So glad you are healing well. I have a DZ 302 sitting in the corner of my garage. I was going to sell it but this video has me thinking...... I need to put it back in something. I had it in a rusty 4wd s10 blazer. Nothing better then schooling mustang gt's in a rusty, baby blue S10 blazer on a daily basis.
Motor Trend Channel Jessi, your next car should be the Z/28.R from the Continental Tire series, just to compare the old with the new. I hope you have a full recovery and keep pumping out great videos!
Welcome back Jessi! Awesome episode. Wish you could have driven the TA more so we could hear that beautiful exhaust some more! Looking forward to the rest of this series!
Watch Jessi Lang break *****'s decibel limits in a 1969 #Camaro Z/28 Trans Am Series race car!
Jessi Lang driving like she stole it..... #hellyeah
Thanks, Laura Boisse!
You know it, Izzy Novas!
Jessi Lang happy to see your back on the track again!
Good video Jessi Lang
As a Boss 302 fan, I must say damn nice car. Gotta love a Z/28!
Those Boss 302’s were ridiculously fast as well!! Coming from a 68 Camaro owner. Gotta love and respect Ford for going to LeMans and destroying everything!
The sound of this car makes me happy!
Me too! I turned the exhaust note into a ringtone and I can't get enough of it...
Jessi
Motor Trend Channel Awesome! Congrats on living a dream, yours and mine!

Nothing like the sound of a Trans Am car. Wether it's a Camaro, Amc,Dodge,Plymouth,Mercury,Ford or Pontiac
HOSSMCGILLICUTTI 305 V8 reving at 7500 - 8000 rpm with no mufflers = music to my ears
Small-blocks sucks -)

This message made my day, Lawrence German. Thanks for every word!
Jessi
Motor Trend Channel No problem, I'm glad I could help.

Many thanks for every word, michael cassaday!
Welcome back Jessi. The sights, sounds, smell and driving of a race car has a unique way of making the real world peel away.
Great to see your back Jessi and I hope with time the pain you are in goes away. After being in a car wreck myself hearing you describe the noise and the force, I truly appreciate your inner strength to go back to doing this sort of a job.
Wow! That exhaust note mmm mmm MMM!! Gives me goose bumps :D good to see you out and in the thick of things Jessi!! Prayers for more healing!
Wow Jessi! What a way to come back! So proud of you! What a beast of a car! That thing sounded awesome! Great job, keep on kickin butt Jessi! YOU GOT THIS!
Great to watch the return of The J-Turn! Glad to see Jessi is doing well looking forward to more episodes! That Camaro is pure music.
Welcome back Jessi! It's awesome to see you back doing what you love!! The J-Turn is unlike anything else on the MT channel with a focus on not only the cars but also the experience. Looking forward to more soon! :D
Great to see ya back! Your story brought tears to my eyes. Looking forward to seeing more of the J-Turn...........really missed you.
Thank you for that, hogdog60645. I really appreciate hearing from you and am grateful you're here!

Just bad ass Jessi. Glad to see you behind the wheel again. Stay strong. You are a motivation.
Thank you, strakill. That means so much to me!
Jessi
Your eyes said it all with the hit of that ignition. Welcome back to the world of octane Jessi. Best of luck on the FULL recovery.

It is so great to have you back on the MT Channel! You have a legion of viewers that adore the work you have done and all that you will do in the future.
May you have a speedy recovery…hopefully... your last surgery.

restricting a car to 130 decibels seems like a crime to me :D
93db now
Yeah why even bother going to a track anywhere that has noise restrictions? Isn't that the whole point of a racetrack? That car sounds AMAZING!
What an amazing car and a perfect example of rolling history. Thank you Motor Trend for bringing us this video!
OMG.. the sound of that engine is just... awesome!!! brum blapidy blapidy blapidy blap....
Jessi, you my dear have the best job in the world...
J, I keep looking at your leg. You have made a great deal of progress. We all admire your determination so much. Keep it up!
Fantastic to see you back, Jessi. Great video, too. That Z/28 is such a raw beast!
Glad you are back Jessi and able to drive a beast like that. And man is that a sweet car, that sound is just pure bliss to a car enthusiast.
So do I. You belong here with us. ;)
Jessi
Heck Yeah, Jessie back to working on what she loves.
Also that oldschool Z/28 & it's exhaust note is perfection to me.
This is my dream car. The sound, raw power, the look, its all there in 1 package.
Good to have you back Jessi. I think I speak for all of us when I say we missed you!

So happy to see you back behind the wheel on J-Turn. I sorely missed you over the past year. I was sad when i saw your last video about the accident.
WELCOME BAAAACK JESSI! Great to see you again. Wishing you a speedy recovery and more great experiences.
welcome back, we missed you. i'm glad that despite the accident you haven't lost your passion for the cars! :)
The 1969 Z/28 is my favorite Camaro. Congrats Jessi for the opportunity to drive such a part of history.
60s and 70s race cars ran without mufflers. Part of the allure was to not only hear them roar, but feel the thunder.
Those eyes don't lie. That's a VERY happy girl ! :)
Good to have you back at work Jessi !!
Right you are, MaffiaAlfista! My face is a dead giveaway-- couldn't lie if it tried.
Jessi
welcome back Jessi. I've missed J-Turn. Sending you positive energy for even a quicker recovery.
Wish I could drive that car. I went to the Skip Barber racing school at that track. I remember turn 6 and to stay away from rainbow wall. The cork screw was a blast to drive. When I first heard the car start up I knew you were going to mention the sound restrictions. Glad to see you had a fun time.

Awesome Video Jessi. It's great to see you back behind the wheel and having such a good time. -Drew
Nothing like a 520HP 8,000Rpm Chevy SBC.
& that exhaust note.
So glad you're back! Our lives have been sooo boring w/o you.
Love your videos Jessi! Hope to see more soon and a speedy recovery from your next surgery!

So glad to see you back out there tearin it up Jess!
The sound of that Z gives me goosebumps, makes me laugh, my eyes well up with water, and gives me a semi all at the same time. Love it.
The Camaro an epic piece of history. The Q50 a beautiful machine. Great video.
I never saw this Jessi before. She seems an EXCELLENT driver. She appreciates the sound of nasty American muscle - primal, brutal, primitive and not apologizing for it. After watching the previous video about what you've been through, I can't imagine how nice that felt to do. Massive props for keeping it up.
Awesome to see you back, Jessi. And with a bang, nice video. The car is cool, but not what I'd pick. It's great you focussed on how it's enjoyed. Hope to see more, good luck with the surgery to come.
It's good to see you back, Jessi! Glad you're doing well!
Welcome back Jessi! It's so great to see you doing your thing again. Welcome back. :)
Jessi is back!
What a machine! That sound made me go into a hell of a nostalgia trip. The infiniti almost sounded like a electric car in comparison to that monstrous engine.
Welcome back Jessi! Best regards from Brazil!
HAPPYYYYYYY TO SEE YOU BACK IN THE TRACK JESSIIIII
Great to see you behind the wheel again. Looking forward to seeing more videos of your adventures although I understand it may be a while before we see them on a regular basis. Best of luck on your recovery.

Now that is how you make a comeback!
Great return show Jessi!
Amazing opportunity! What a beautiful TA !!
Awesome car! That is really cool they still race it!!! It really does sound amazing as well.
Plugged the computer into the stereo for this one. Epic Sound! Very jealous as usual. With thanks from New Zealand
A man after my own heart! Good call on the stereo sound; nothing less will do for this exhaust note.

Just watched the video about your accident and recover. It's good to see you back and driving cars.
Welcome back Jessi. It's nice to see you back in the saddle.....
Thanks, *****! It's GREAT to be back!

HOLY CRAP!! The sound of that thing is godly
Way to get back into the swing of things Jessi!!

corkscrew is tops on my bucket list, good job. Love those Trans-Am Cars!
So so good to have you back. You were missed.
Wow, Jessi is very enthusiastic and well versed here. Her interest seems a lot more excitable than most guys I know.
Glad to see you back at it Jess. So glad you are healing well. I have a DZ 302 sitting in the corner of my garage. I was going to sell it but this video has me thinking...... EVERYBODY! WELCOME BACK JESSI LANG!
Thank you, Daniel Marx! What should I drive for my next adventure?
Jessi
Motor Trend Channel
Jessi, you should totally go drive something from the Roadkill fleet. Maybe the muscle truck?
Motor Trend Channel Jessi, your next car should be the Z/28.R from the Continental Tire series, just to compare the old with the new. I hope you have a full recovery and keep pumping out great videos!
Erik Warnes I love that idea! Time to talk to Finn...Jessi
llamawerkz GREAT idea! And many thanks for your well-wishes!Jessi
Congrats on coming this far jessi, love your work.
Welcome back Jess, that car sounds awesome.
