The Waldorf and Statler trucks (I refuse to call them anything else) are probably my favorite part of this. They still have the classic plarail truck proportions and fit in nicely with older version. The lack of nameplates on Annie and Clarabel makes me want to use them as branch line coaches.
While I do genuinely despise what the Thomas character look like now..I do have to admit these models are actually pretty good. Can't fault the makers at Tomy for how they create these models. Best wishes brother. 🙏 😊
Claribel also has freckles, while Annie didn't. I honestly really like both of them and the trucks, the faces on the rolling stock are honestly great, and I also kinda like the detailing Annie and Claribel have on their sides as well, and I love the fun colors of the trucks. The general proportions of Thomas and the style of the AEG face are still just so wrong and disturbing to me, though. I genuinely hate everything about the new styling. I don't hate Diesel and Kana as much, but between the way Thomas's design was chibified into the AEG style, combined with the fact that they then stretched him back out again to make him fit on a playrail chassis, I just can't ever express how much I hate the way this Thomas looks. Diesel's OK because after being shrunk and stretched his proportions basically ended up back like they were before he was chibified, and Kana was long enough for a playrail chassis to begin with, but that long cab and still too short boiler on Thomas, just no. Do not like. Get that out of my life. And that face too, it just looks so wrong to me.
If I were to get a GoGo product, it’d be this and Perpy. (Enderman Diesel, fun) I’m not really a fan of the siderods, but it does work on the Plarail so much better than Motorized. Also I’m LOVING the new layout, it looks insane even as just styrofoam and some tape. Even though a Motorized rngine would not likely work on your Plarail stuff, have you considered getting one of the Reboot sets from either the Motorized or Push Along line? I guess unless if you were to get those 3d printed adapters then it’d not make sense because of the track, just a thought I guess, some of them like ‘A Bridge to Sodor’ look fire.

The Plarail AEG Annie and Clarabel in the AEG Thomas with rolling stock pack almost look like the regular Plarail Annie and Clarabel and the Plarail Skiff in the pack is exactly like the regular Plarail Skiff and it’s so cool how you got a keychain in the pack and the keychain looks so cute by the way.

I’m not trying to say to stop doing the Trackmaster/Plarail content and stick to your roots or anything, I’m enjoying them so much, just wondering is all.
My only complaints for the model are the Extended centre parts of the wheels and the strangely large cab. His face reminds me of the faces of anime or manga characters, i wonder what these characters would look like in that style?
If the truck’s didn’t have coloured eyes they would look like the my Thomas story library collection set illustrations and I would just buy the trucks and only the truck from plarail

Why do most people insist on pronouncing Plarail as 'Play-rail' instead of '*Pla*-rail' (Like *pla*stic). In Japan, 'Plamo' is a portmanteau of 'Plastic Model' , And seeing as Plarail are plastic model trains, would it not make more sense to pronounce it like Plamo? Also that pronunciation of Takara is *heinous*
I think it’s just a matter of preference and commonality in terms of “pla-rail” or “play-rail.” I haven’t heard Takara pronounced as anything else besides “talk-era” or “talk-ra” which I’d argue sounds the same so 😅🤷♂️
