    They should have just left the fingerprint scanner on the back, where it belongs

      It worked much better on the back. I could just pick up the phone and my finger would touch it right away and the phone was unlocked. Now it's a pain! I first have to touch the screen, then put my finger on the icon, and you have to press fairly hard or it won't work! Very annoying!

      @@abruegger007 I missed the scrolling, but now we have software to it at home on screen and the double tap on back to be even better to do more than just notification slider. It's just better.
      The back scanner was fairly dirty. This is just better with the face unlock as back up

    The most annoying part about the tempered glasses are the fact that they all have a black border going around them to hide the adhesive. The black borders don't always align properly and sometimes cover a small part of the screen. They're also super chunky and add a bit of heaviness to the phone, but do a good job at protecting the phone from scratches and dents. Tpu is only advised if you have a tough case on like spigen or rhino shield. I like tpu better because they're basically thinner and lighter and kinda smoother.

    • @ThiHaGadgets
      @ThiHaGadgets ปีที่แล้ว

      Too stupid to put those black borders.

    The video doesn't really show/emphasize how bad the adhesive around the fingerprint reader looks. It's noticable all the time and makes it an absolute eye sore. I used one on my Pixel 6 Pro and threw the glass protector out - after 2 hours of use.

    I got the Olixar film protector from your website, I couldn't have been more careful with the install and followed this video, however the protector is not adhering properly to the screen and there is a crease running across the width of the phone where the top and bottom part of the protector were separated. Not really sure what to do at this point.

    Uv liquid glass screen protectors are a good compromise in my opinion, I installed one recently for my 7 pro. You get the next of both worlds. Only drawback is the difficulty and potential mess you get with installation.
    You need to constantly wipe the liquid glue and make sure to tape your speaker and earphone so glue doesn't go there. It's slipper as hell before curing so be on a flat table. I messed up the installation (silly me thought it's worth while to put the phone case on whole I cure it to check fitment. Horrible idea because the glue spilled everywhere). I did manage to salvage it and clean things up but now I've got bubbles on under the protector and my case has some permanent glue residue all over. Good luck

    Why would anyone install this trash glass protector. Not only will it lift that eyesore where the fingerprint reader sits is horrible. Whitestone dome is the only one to buy (or other liquid adhesive versions) for curved screen

    • @mobilefun
      @mobilefun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @lilmario0

      @@jmnero4447 I've seen another TH-camr run into this prob. Was it user error for you or is it just the glass is slightly off?

    • @jmnero4447
      @jmnero4447 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lilmario0 it was user error. The flat surface I used was portable and wasn't level and wobbly. So I think since it wasn't level the screen protector slid off to the lower side of the screen before I managed to UV cure it in place.
      I'll be sure to not make the same mistake again if my first install gets damaged. Still got the second in storage.

    • @abruegger007
      @abruegger007 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@afrolintln7677 Well, the other protectors you place on don't do much either. I'm not concerned about it anyway. If you take care of your phone, you won't drop anyway. But most people are careless and can't take care of anything, including not keeping it clean. I had my last phone for 8 years and never even scratched the screen. I always kept it very clean without smudges and never dropped it.

    • @jimmybbeam
      @jimmybbeam ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I never used to use screen protectors, and I'm a tradesman so my phone is thrown around a bit and susceptible to damage. Then one day my Samsung Note 10+ screen randomly cracked one day while at home, no idea how it happened. It pretty much bricked the phone, AU$400+ to repair it, or I could buy a new one for a little bit more at the time. I believe a simple screen protector could have saved me a lot of hassle and a bit of money, so now my phones will always wear them.
