I am Maky - a Czech chick, living from the ocean in a 78 series Troopy, traveling & capturing the world with my Aussie boyfriend Field Days. Follow our adventures whilst we are living on the road, catching our own food, and exploring Australia.
We met in Bali 6 years ago, and since day one we have been exploring the entire globe. Recently, we moved to Australia, bought 78 series Troopy and made it our home on wheels!

I just stumbled on Matt's channel yesterday and immediately had to follow up on the baby goat. I think it's awesome he tried to find the herd, and that he opted to cancel the survival trip in favor of the rescue. That little guy is so stinking cute and it really is heartening that y'all took him in. Where I live if I rescued an animal like that I'd be forced to turn it over or release it to the wild again. You're definitely going to need to invest in a companion for it if for no other reason than to compliment your growing farmstead. Side note: I'm in a high desert myself, very similar foliage and terrain. Thought I'd recommend some stuff that might do well for planting in your garden such as artichoke, dates, lavender and if you're able to get any Barbary fig. Lavender is a natural bug repellent, as is lemongrass, marigold, scented geranium and citronella. Good luck with all of the stuff you've already planted. Can't wait to see more!

After watching the first video where all those poor goats were dieing from dehydration broke my heart,😢. But when he grabbed up Bowie and brought him home on that very next episode my heart was full once again,😊. I think you and little Bowie look absolutely precious together, and the beach trip was cute too. Im watching diligently to see this little guy become the Adventurous Bowie in the future. I could see him having some real separation anxiety having been left in the bush the first couple days of life. He's got it so good now he's afraid for that to ever go away!

Love this. We have missed you on the field days channel. So happy for you guys with the baby goat. I have 5 Nigerian dwarf goats. I have had them for over 15 years. I have then as young as a couple of months old too. They are a true joy. They are pets. I had them fixed and their horns burned off when they were young. I have a female baby now. When she is older I will have her bred to a stud. Looking forward to that.

MY FAVORITE TH-camR EVER!!!!!!! I have missed you young lady... Advice on new baby, Buy him some pampers. Cut a little hole for his tail. I have had several in my home. You are doing awesome job.. LOVE and food is all they need. You got this.
For the olives, what i noticed grandma does and you didn't is slicing them like making cuts all around the olive so you hold the olive and slice it from top down to bottom and repeat it around. I guess its for it to absorb that marinade

I come from a Greek family who loves making their own olives, we usually put rosemary and chille flakes in with them with abit of fennel seeds, but all I can suggest is salt with the oil, it takes away the bitterness (makes them quite salty though) but just be reserved with the amount, it gets saltier the more you wait so not too much, and then be prepared to wait for up to 4 weeks, just be patient, taste them every couple weeks till you're happy 👍

Lovely seeing you again Maky. Little Bowie is adorable and you are doing a great job. The olives will turn out fine. I actually put some brine with a little vinegar then top them up with olive oil so the oil stays on top to seal it. Love yours and Matt's videos, keep them coming.
