Bro I really love the physics for this game so wobbly and slippery makes drifting in this game feel so good not to mention the game cube controls R and L buttons when you press them
I think that Double Dash had the best level design out of the series. MKWii had the best mechanics except for bikes making karts obsolete. That being said though, I do like some of the mechanics from Double Dash, like how fast it is, and the special items.
I used to love MK Double Dash and played this game for hours straight, but the fact that I’ve never seen this shortcut 10:40 makes me wanna go back in time 😭 thank you for this video 😄
Im kind of proud of my self that I found anyone of those by my self as a kid and at the other hand it’s kind a sad to not learn a new (non glitch) shortcut
I knew instantly what you were talking about in Yoshis island. I remember it took me so long to figure out how to get there, id always miss the skip! Thanks for the vid man, you got my nostalgia going
Thanks for watching! If you are talking about the hidden tunnel, it isn't really much of a skip. It does lose time to take it but it definitely is one of the more interesting areas in the game!
Very interesting video, I'll use your hints to train and to be able to beat my roommates (Paul and Nicolas), they are really strong and I really struggle to beat them but I needed some help.
My memories might deceive me but I distinctly remember a “shortcut” in Yoshi’s circuit that was just a long tunnel that was hard to get through and it didn’t save you any time, but for some reason I thought it was tucked into the back of his shell.
There is 1 little shortcut missing on Waluigi Stadium. You can drive over the last Piranha. I think you need a mushroom for that. 🙂 But I have to say, that was a great video. There were some shortcuts I didn't know. The one in Waluigi Stadium, driving around the mug, as example. I played that game when I was 9 or 10 for around 10 years. Good old times. 🙂
Everyone says the gap jump in dk mountain is hard to get but i swear as a kid i nailed it every time no problem. Always was an easy cut for me. Am i arrogant or misremembering? Why am i the only person who doesnt think its a difficult cut
@@someone_has_my_handle I used to practice by drifting to a full stop and then accelerating from nothing. With the right angle you dont need much momentum to go over the gap.
@@IntoTheXone yeah unfortunately they removed it for some reason. It doesn't give an unfair advantage to using it (quite the opposite), so why they removed it doesn't make much sense.
I say "SHER-bet", although there exists the word "sherbert" that is the result of common usage of the alternate (corrupted?) pronunciation of "sherbet".
Alec Sjoholm the original spelling is sherbet, but I think because so many people pronounced it SHER-bert an official spelling was created. So there are two spellings that mean the same thing.

But how? …. I searched in MK DS & MK8 for this shortcut

Would love to see the other skips, also the main thing I learned was you can hold down to decrease air time, thanks.
Alternative path add so much life to a circuit, wish they did more of that in newer games
Whoa, you drove over the bridge perfectly.
As a kid I always dreamed of successfully doing it, funny to hear it is actually SLOWER. XD
Great video man! This video brings many memories back

Are you talking about the one at 10:35 or a different tunnel?
@alltop10 I’m talking about a different one, but I honestly could be very wrong. This is a 15+ year old memory.
@@Dijonaise It is definetely a wrong memory. 😅
Keep going buddy, double dash for life
what type of connections setup do you have? really like the image quality

There are a few mini cuts u can make in rainbow road
not sherbert, sherbet! also I recently got this so thanks for the tips! now i can DESTROY MY BROTHER!
Yoshi shortcut man, I had no idea that was there.
Actually there is an alternative route in baby park, you can go backwards
If only it would count the laps.

I was always really bad at it when I was younger. It's all about just setting it up properly and then it's super easy.

If GCN mushroom bridge returns to mario kart 8 deluxe, it must have the pipe route
Why do you allow the capture video to look stretched
It looks normal to me. I also played it on a monitor instead of a TV so maybe that had some effect on it 🤔.
@@someone_has_my_handle it’s supposed to be 4:3 aspect ratio
Wait now you got me curious about the pipe in peach beach still in MKWii
Ok it’s not there

alltop10 there’s no reason for it anymore since there’s no double item box in the game. Same with mushroom bridge in DS
This helped me in Double Dash! Thanks!
Cool video hope to se more mario kart double dash videos
Any suggestions on what I should do in mario kart?
Maybe play two or four players
How do you get that start screen
This is the alternate title screen for Double Dash, which is unlocked after getting gold in every single cup!

Nice vid and thx
Favorite route in the entire game 9:37
Also me and my brother were so stoked when we finally got that skip 10:35
@nicholasshugrue4229 it is a pretty cool route and totally did it a disservice by bonking on literally every wall possible lol.
