I know I'm over a decade late, but this is actually an updated version of Pokemon Battle Revolution. It was never released to the public, but it hides the opponent's team, is compatible with any language version of Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum (the earlier one released to the public is only compatible with versions matching the version of PBR), and gives Lucas and Dawn their Platinum outfits (they don't have them in the retail build because Platinum hadn't been released or even announced at the time PBR released). As far as I know, no one knows if it added compatibility and models for the new forms Platinum gave Rotom, Shaymin, and Giratina, but given how none of those forms were allowed, it's unlikely they were added.
Better late than never! Thank you for the info, there are quite a few people (including me) who still play this game and would love to experience this version, though it would be near impossible to obtain

I assumed that they had different copies in different languages, like last year. Then again, there were two countries last year (U.S. and Japan), while this year had competitors from 7 (Japan, U.S., U.K., Belgium, France, Germany, and Spain).
That's very interesting that there's no team preview even though the final build has it... It's almost like the devs were playing with the idea before Gen 5

Unless this version doesn't show if Pokemon are in different ball types *cough* POKESAV *cough*. There's no way you could get a good Zapdos/Moltres in a pokeball. XD Snorlax though, nice. Unless that's Pokesav too.

weird how they didn't choose to use Stargazer Colosseum in game but it still used mysterial's battle theme. what a weird version of battle revolution
My guess is the Devs new the waterfall Colosseum was the best one in the game so they decided to use it
