I made the exact same plate quench assembly, ended up accidentally stripping the threads out of the plate so I drilled all the way through the block and countersunk the holes so the screw heads were flush with the plate faces.
Now part of me wants to see what a "lever over" one would look like. I'm thinking of a panini press kind of build. Depending on the arms and such, might be able to fit some super size blades in there. Regardless, thanks for the solid content.
