Thank you for the informative videos. You have helped me from waisting thousands on champion, liberty, browning, old glory or any of the other junk. Im saving now for either your safes or a brown safe. Thank you
That would depend if he had a tool to remove the locking bolt after the lock was punched out. Usually it will just knock out the spindle and wheel pack while leaving the bolt in place and securely locked. Most quality safe locks have a feature that prevents the bolt from moving if the back cover is removed by say a punching attack.
It doesn't look like the dead bolt assembly is working at 3:37. Note the hinge side of the safe deadbolts are not moving. Would have liked to have seen complete retraction and extension of all deadbolts after 9lb hammer test.
These do look like strong safes, but how about a portable cutting wheel test? How do the sides hold up to a cutting wheel? It'll be easier for a thief to carry a grinder wheel than a heavy sludge hammer. I've seen in other videos that the side of the safe is cut very easily with a grinder.
Cutting 1/4" plate or thicker with a cutting wheel sucks big time and can be extremely time consuming, you chew up cutting wheels pretty quick. I typically opt for the gas axe or plasma cutter. My experience is based off a combination of home diy work and my day job as an elevator constructor.
I want one Sturdy so bad!!!! I actually have rifles and guns but I don't have one because when I was going to order one, huge sacrifice and stretch and a clear future of Ramen noodles afterwards, I simply could not order the basic, which was good enough, and I wanted at least a Magnum Steel one. I figured that if I was going to invest in one I had to go big or go home. I waited to set aside more cash but then prices went up due to metal and materials affected by inflation. The wait must be longer I guess. I wish the military would give us one as a gift, ha!
The Liberty safes are 12 gauge and their prices are right in line with that of Sturdy's safes with a 4 gauge body. Why would anyone suggest a lower quality safe? That SafElert doesnt always work either. I'd recommend a good camera setup before any of that.
Don't worry about Terry not wearing ear protection, just comment on the topic.

I love Terry in all these videos! Lol. Just ordered my Model 3627 with the all stainless steel upgrades!!
I went with a Champion because I got a deal on one used, but sturdy was definitely on my radar. For the price, they make a nice thick safe

Good luck Alyssa, remember seeing some of her work on the mayhem
Where are the safety glasses?
Earplugs?
Ain't nobody got time for that...
Can I get a good discount on that safe, scratches and all???

It may be to distorted to open, but the point is that the criminal would have failed in his attempt to force the deadbolt in.
the hinge side bolts are stationary, as they are most safes of this type
its exr to cut it or use a automated dialer. and when you do the hammer thing for the pins use a impact hammer
I wonder how those pins would have reacted if he had punched the lock out first???
So what was giving on the boltwork at 3:16+?
the pin deformed
How long does it take to saw through the safe wall?
4 gauge steel will take a lot longer than 12 gauge would.

Terry is not playing around. You can feel his disdain for weak ass safes.
I am very happy with my sturdy safe. More protection for your money and better made than box store safes.
Great video

What I find most unbelievable is the fact he's wearing absolutely NO hearing protection.
What he's doing is damaging his hearing beyond repair.
2:35 when I get put on a team with all noob on bo3
Where is your hearing protection Terry!
You would think this safe would exceed TL15 - I am surprised he doesn't get it UL tool attack rated.
Sledgehammer was in the 70s today we have ban saws
What? How?
Sturdy makes on hell of a safe. Having said that, just by a half decent safe with 10 gauge and add the Liberty SafElert

And this folks goes to show why cheap rifle scopes cannot survive inside a sturdysafe.
teach that hand how to swing a sledge hammer would ya, jeez i was embarrased for that guy!
Two words.....SAFETY GLASSES!
Nope, Alyssa is already divorced. Thank you though!
well hell if you want the bolts off once its open just use a torch. that 2lb isn't gonna do it. wear some safety glasses please! ;)
i think he just used this as an excuse to hit stuff
Hes not hitting it very hard. My wife could hit it harder with her purse.
shit talker is what you are. that fucking safe is not budging.
definitely not that hard but a viable test anyways.
Tell your wife to bring in her purse and we'll set her up for the road clearing crew.... How does her teeth hold up also?
He hit it hard enuf to mushroom the dead bolt.....I would say that's hard enuf
How hard do you think a thief would be able to smack a dead bolt if the safe is tucked into a corner wall? Lmao
