Difference between Copper / Brass / Bronze (for those who might find it interesting) they are part of a category of metals known as “red metals”, which are characterized by their reddish tint. While copper is a pure metal, brass and bronze are copper alloys (brass is a combination of copper and zinc; bronze is a combination of copper and tin).
As a former Goodwill cashier, please stop donating paintings from the wine and paint clubs!! They do not get bought!!

As someone who grew up in the 80's, I remember Citizen as a luxury watch brand. If I'm not mistaken, even today, for those of us who prefer the traditional quartz watches over the cold & mechanical ones, that are so popular & obviously favorites by a lot of people... 🤔 #ImNotOneOfThem 😉⌚️👌🏻

In 1984, the company I worked for gave all the employees nice clocks as an end-of-year commemorative gift. Inscribed on the back were our company's acronym and the year. Maybe the "IOM" etc. was put on the clock you bought for a similar reason. Just a thought.
That Citizen clock looks like something from a trade show in Tokyo in 1982. Probably stands for something like "International Organization" of something.

The Dansk tray is the exact same one that is used at Coquine (restaurant in Portland) to serve guests a surprise extra dessert at the end of the meal! I'd recognize it anywhere - such a nice piece.

Thank you for showing the whole wall of the booth at the 12:10 mark! I just adore how they color coordinated the shelves! Gave me inspiration for my future booth. I've been on a waiting list for one since April at the antique mall that I'm a vendor at here in Western NC and they're only a few spots away from my name, so hopefully it'll be soon ❤️

That necklace totally resembles deer antlers! I live in Wisconsin and we have them everywhere here along with all the deer hunters 🦌
If you look, the deer are around the stone. Tails at the bottom. Bellies touching the stone. Antlers out to the top/side. Two babies at the top, tail to tail & head connected to the adults antlers.

I was at a convention in Las Vegas and went thrifting with a friend and ran into Mikey Bags would have love to run into Tiffany love watching both of you. Would love to do a thrift in Vegas again Savers was the best for me in Vegas I did have to leave a picture behind I do regret.

Art major here: that would be called an Art Copy, or Artist Copy. It's often a study done of another artist's piece to study their technique and try and mimic their style.

I've been a thrifter for years and Las Vegas by far had the nicest designer apparel I've encountered any place else in the United States. G2 in Minneapolis, the Goodwill distribution center provides the best pickin in the country. Their prices were twenty-five cents a pound!!!

The Citizen clock is from The International Organisation for Migration, which opened in 1981 to help with Indochinese refugee resettlement. Interesting bit of social history you picked up in Las Vegas xx

It seems like Vegas is a great thrifting spot but I would love to come up to you in Oregon! The little seaside towns with the cute thrift shops and the gorgeous coastline, plus all those amazing Portland Goodwills, pleeassse. It would be so fun!!

Laura you didn't even look at that wood checkerboard. We had one when I was growing up in the 60's. My mom used it to put on a table to hold our phone. I would have liked to know how much it was.
Hello, make sure you come the first weekend in October to Las Vegas. Go to Boulder City, Nv (1/2 hour drive). Boulder City has so many Antique/thrift shops plus this is also the weekend of Art in the Park (a craft/antique/art festival for free). This little town comes alive with festivities, people and thrifting. It’s a wonderful weekend. Bring a van to transport your new treasures!
I think the earrings you described as Bohemian are actually traditional Croatian buttons. Actually half of a button. I wish I could attach photos of the ones I bought on a trip there. Look up Filigrin Split Jewelry. I think they call them toka balls.

Your clock might be from Citizen watch company, they made or make clocks too. Maybe it was a promo or souvenir clock....
i found that abalone bottle opener in the bottom of a bin of clothes at a Goodwill Outlet
The Schreyer work is great. I think it is a lithograph. You can draw on a lithographic stone with a crayon or use a special ink to create an image for printing (quite a complicated process). It has an edition number at the bottom -75/120.

hey Laura, because i've been watching your channel, i've discovered i have some pretty valuable Bitossi pottery!
i've always collected a bit of vintage CA pottery because it's so plentiful here in CA, but i never guessed any of it would be especially valuable.
it's a flower pot.
it's marked ZTALY and has a production number.
the outside is cream, dark green and brown, the inside is turquoise.
if anyone has any additional info on this piece, please let me know.

Those white bottles are artisan-made for an expensive brand of tequila. They have other equally beautiful bottles for the different types of tequila they sell. That stag pendant would really make a statement hanging from a brass collar. And I believe you’ve officially turned me into a Bitossi expert, cuz I knew what those ash trays were the moment you landed on them!
Those bottles sell for quite a bit on ebay, too.
Do you know what service they used to ship your painting back home? I was looking into shipping artwork and the prices were way more than that. 😱
