Im a traditional USA knife guy, but i got my RR easy open jack yesterday and i have all the other 30 Anniversary Spades Appaloosa knives, this one didn't disappoint, Fit and Finish is perfect as the others in this series are, American Makers could take some lessons from these guys, can't wait for the other 3 to be released. My Professional Dj name is " Dj Spade" ♠️ thats why I collected them, i also here a Stag series in the Spades is going to be released.
Fantastic review… Completely agree… long pull only and no swedge … would have made more sense and look much nicer! Seen a few bad examples of these online… look’s like you’ve got a decent one… Good value for money… I think these have been a little overshadowed by the current RoseCraft knives… albeit the RoseCraft’s are at a higher price point… Got the coke bottle from this series and it’s great! Thanks brother… catch you soon 👊🏻
Waiting for it to come back in stock, I have the coke bottle & swell centre, can't wait to add this one. Definitely should have left out the nail nick at the easy open, but still won't stop from buying it 😂
Great series! I keep looking to see if they are coming out with the bone stag damascus versions of this series. They missed the mark a bit with the nail nicks for sure.
Looks like another must have piece from RR. Still really like them even though the Rosecraft Blades are now my favorite carry. Particularly enjoying the Appalachian jack around the house and garden though defo a little on the large side for our restrictive laws so probably wont have it as a pocket carry when out on the street. Stick to my Sak pioneer for that as it probably won't offend or scare anyone.
That Easy Open Jack is really nice!!! The country of origin stuff doesn’t bother me much!!!! RR is doing some great stuff and have awesome quality and affordability!!!
I have this exact knife and the blade is also not centered and the blade is pulling to the left inside the body of the knife and yes its slippery to pull out. I was also befuddled why they had two pulls. Despite that, I like this knife and prefer it over the Appaloosa Coke version, which I returned because it was too hard to pull out and broke one of my nails. This knife wasn't gritty, although I've had plenty of gritty Rough Ryders.
I expect to buy one. I really like everything about it, except the two nail nicks. It really detracts from the looks of the knife. It looks like they had a blade with a nail nick and decided just to add a second one to save money.
I really WANT to like this... but the swedge and second nailnick really ruin it for me. It looks like someone had no idea what they were doing, and makes it look bad.
I received this knife a few days ago after it came back in stock at smkw. It's a beautiful knife, but the closing action from half stop is very sloppy and lazy.
You do a great job describing in detail the knives you feature. One of my favorite knife channels on YTube!
Thank you

That's awesome, glad you're enjoying them
I like the look of those knives
It's really great 😃
Thanks, SlippyS. The double nail nick is ridiculous. Thanks for the share.
Thanks Byron 🔥🙏🏻
I absolutely agree with you on the nail nicks.
100% not needed
Very nice knife, thank you.
Thanks Richard
I ordered a RRR knife to check it out and see how the quality is. I also bought some Rosecraft slipjoints and those are really nice.
Awesome!

That looks like a great series of RR knives. Great value. Excellent video as always.
Thanks my friend
Just got mine in the mail today! I absolutely love it!❤
Excellent
Looks like you got a better one than many so far. Excellent video Slippy!
I think so too!

You'll definitely enjoy this one

Available on Chicago knife works now!
I agree with your assessment, nice knife for the price 👍
Thanks for watching 🔥🙏🏻
Great value at that price!
100%
More nail knicks!
Many many more
wow, very rare in the UK these 👍👍
They're in their way

Awesome stuff brother 🔥🙏🏻
So any ideas if this will make it on to HH any time soon as I will pick one up when they do.
Nice review, your should check out the kizer mini sheepdog double detent.
Uk legal and great bladeshape
Will check it out
Very nice I like that
Me too!
That Easy Open Jack is really nice!!!

You got that right!

It doesn’t need two nail knicks other than that it’s a good looking knife.
I know! No idea why they did that

Pretty much my thoughts brother
I really WANT to like this... but the swedge and second nailnick really ruin it for me. It looks like someone had no idea what they were doing, and makes it look bad.
It ruined it for me too , 😞
It looks more like "Gray Appaloosa" :)
100% agree
Kind of weird there’s 2 nails nicks. At first glance you would think there’s another blade.
100% don't understand that
Goodbye Rough Ryder , Rosecraft for me
You're definitely right there
I received this knife a few days ago after it came back in stock at smkw. It's a beautiful knife, but the closing action from half stop is very sloppy and lazy.
Such a shame 😔
Great pattern knife, with an attractive blade shape and handle. Just poor execution on the details keeping it from being top notch. Thanks, Slippy.
100% agree! Very minor changes to make it fantastic! Thanks for watching John 🙏🏻🍒
It's certainly very pretty, but.... Why are there SO many knives with swedges nowadays ? I'm rapidly getting bored of the things tbh lol.
I dont know! I'm also bored or swedges
Guess it should have been called the double pull not so easy open Jack.
😂😂
Like the rough riders .not a fan of the double nail nicks.
Same here
The double nail nick completely ruins the aesthetics of the blade. My 2cents.
Agreed
First 😉
