"The Binary Soul of Electric Guitar"

Just wanted to intro a little series of videos that I've been inspired to put together based on an article by Steven Fryette in Premier Guitar a few years ago (June 2018 to be exact).
What exactly makes electric guitar, electric guitar? Is it the Guitar? The Amp? The Pedals? The speaker? The mic?
or is it a combination of all of the above?
We are gonna test each step in the chain and at the end we will see how much effect each has on the final tone.
