In case you don’t have a shop like this and or the fabrication skills you can buy the pan hard bar adjustable with the helm joints in a wide variety of lengths for $65. Brackets available too which saved my butt.
Very Impressive!! I've been following your 61 Apache project from the start and finding it inspirational. I picked up a 61 Apache about a month ago and am in the planning stage. Would like to chat more about your project. Former shop teacher from AB.
Great video! Definitely shows the struggle of fabricating your own stuff. I fabricated my own watts link for an Edsel, I learned a lot! Thank you for sharing
Watts links are cool. Mumford Links are also cool, but possibly needlessly complex (but in a very sexy way). You can get a VERY low rear roll center with a Mumford. I chose Panhard - keep it simple :)
Great vidoes ill have to re-watch few when i get to replaceing rustsy floors... I got a 1960 shrot bed fleetside what you recommend for lowering the front i already loosened torsionbars i want go lower ... ?
It's better than two bushings, but it still doesn't deal with the fact that the truck arm motion and panhard motion are in two different directions. Rubber bushings would be a very good compromise.
Cool project. Although if you upped your game and went with servos instead of a panhead so the truck can crab sideways with the push of a button like an electric hummer, you'd probably get a Netflix deal and wouldn't have to read through all the insufferable comments like mine in the comment section.

Where can you buy them at?

I miss hanging out with you IRL, bro.
I also hate dealing with suspension. . .
hahaha
Great work, man!

@@GregWellwood after handling the watts link, I understand the need to keep it simple haha

OK>So now I want one!
Would you see a disadvantage to a bushing on one end and a rod end on the other? Thanks

Just a thought would it not be easier to fit the panhard bar before the bed is on?
I was doing a lot of different things all at the same time, and this is just the timing of how it all worked out.
Gathered......
