Howdy Scott- great video and camera angle. I lost count of how many tres you dropped. Glad the ground was frozen for you. Take care and stay safe. God bless y’all
Purchased a 181 se in 1984 , been my main saw until last spring , ripping a Osage orange tree for long bow material and rattle bam crank bearing flew in many pieces, repaired it with a 592 and a 572 ,, both bitching bad saws, husky has made me , be careful .
I still have 2' 181se's 2' 288 lites and 1 281xp. Also had 2 Stihl 0-44 magnums but they got stolen. Outta the bunch' the 181's and 044's were the best mid size saws I used for logging back then. Probably gonna sell what's left and just keep the husky 359 and 55 rancher for fire wood.

There was a few there. It don't take long to lay a bunch down. All the work comes after they hit the ground
Love those 181 combustion chambers. Very sought after cylinder
I try not to use it very much because of that fact alone hate for it to wear out on me. It's one of my favorite saws

I can see ripping Osage being hard on a saw. Those 592 and 572s are good saws. Probably makes the hurt of losing the 181 hurt less
181, 281, 288 are fine saws
Like to get a hold of a 288 someday
Not forget 185 !!
@@TREEKILLER90 There are copys that are good though. If you can work your own saw.

Have two 181 saws a 268 and a 262 .the two series were workhorses
Yes the 2 series are great. They run more rpm than the 1 series also. That 181 has some torque though.
