For the people who don't have the option to use voice control: Try changing your Country for LG-Services to another country. For example: I live in Belgium and speak Flemish (similar to Dutch) and we don't have an AI voice like Siri, Alexa, LG,...But in The Netherlands they do have an existing AI voice and they speak Dutch so most people in Belgium can perfectly understand this. So once you change to another country the TV will state that it needs to be restarted. After doing that you can try using "Hi LG" which will then ask you to accept the Licence agreements etc and then it will work. Just know when doing this that you will have to speak in the language you have chosen to use the LG Voice Control AND you might not be able to update some of the apps installed on your LG TV.
What if there are multiple LG TVs within my voice range and I only want to turn on one of them? Can I speak Chinese or other non-English languages to turn on/off TV and switch TV programs?

I have an echo dot right next to my brand new LG C2. Anytime I use Alexa to turn off my living room lights or the lamps, the TV responds blowing out our ears through my Dolby Atmos theater system. I have voice recognition disabled in my LG TV but it still activates anytime I say Alexa. How do I completely disable this? I have deselected voice recognition in the terms and conditions and then I end up getting this stupid Banner popping up that won't go away telling me I need to agree. I'm seriously really close to returning this TV.

I used to be up to say "hi LG" . . . "turn on TV" and my LG OLED55GX6LA TV would switch on. I've gone into the settings and double-checked everything's activated properly! And even though the remote control voice command works properly, the hands-free voice command does not! Switching power off then switching back on normally used to correct it, but for some reason it doesn't do it no more! Any Solutions? And btw I don't have a Twitter account! 🤔

I was having the same problem. You have to turn that function on in the voice control settings. To turn it on, press the mic button on the remote, then click on “help.” You can then change the settings there.

@@LGUSASupport not by this video. But I did solve it. Thanks for following up. I turned WiFi on, went to AI settings, and turned off the always ready voice activation thingy. Then I turned WiFi back off. Hopefully don't have to worry about it anymore.

B.s. comes on randomly after turning it off. It activates back to on automatically each time u power on tv.

Nothing happens on my C2 when I say "Hi LG" while the TV is off.
I was having the same problem.

@@LGUSASupport not by this video. But I did solve it. Thanks for following up. I turned WiFi on, went to AI settings, and turned off the always ready voice activation thingy. Then I turned WiFi back off. Hopefully don't have to worry about it anymore.

Alexa SUCKS, I have one in my kitchen and they both pick up my voice, one says Sorry and the TV turns on, totally fucked, you would THINK they would be linked? But no... too much effort on their behalf.
