Today I give a quick channel update and review the 2022 Shimano Soare SS Ajing 6’8 Super Ultralight Rod. This rod is great for deep water fishing, as it has excellent sensitivity, a lot of backbone, and enough parabolic bend to protect light line while still leveraging larger fish. When casting, it is extremely crisp with no floppy feeling. It will be a fan favorite for those trying to catch trophy size crappie on this type of tackle. I’ve caught a few crappie suspended off camera with this rod. The thumps on the drop hit the blank incredibly well and you have plenty of backbone to turn a big slab in deep water!
I am also glad to announce that I will be working with Mule Fishing. It is a great company and their Donkey Tail Jr swimbait is currently my favorite ultralight lure to use throughout many conditions. I just got off the water this weekend tying to catch crappie out of my simple plastic bass raider boat… I caught two SLABS but the bass and bluegill could not leave it alone. Great pond lure 100%

Anyone have recommendations for a sensitive rod for jigging and "bottom bouncing" in little streams with a 1/32 oz crayfish imitation?
I do a lot of ultralight stream fishing and I want very badly to find a rod that is both sensitive and has 1/32oz right in the sweet spot for casting and jigging.
I'm not a fan of slow action noodles. That's why I came here 😅
They make this exact rod in short options like 5’4 and 6’0 that would be a great option! I have a few Yamaga blanks rods I need to test out to see if they are money for this or not. I have about 5 rods and 4 reels yet to test/use!!
I saw your vids in suggesting videos. We south east asian are really love ultraligth but not like that kind fishing. We use ultraligth or sul or xul set to fish wahoo snapper or any fish that behind the limit.. we dont exced 6lbs of rating of braid at max 4ply or we use ester line for pulse extreme gaming.. hoping to see your nxt video to hunt some 3to4kilo of grouper or snapper using that set up. MANTAP!!!😊

Will I notice a significant difference when switching from a Dobyns Trout and Panfish rod with a Shimano Ultegra reel and 6 lb Daiwa J-Braid Grand 8X to a Shimano Soare

Absolutely the jdm setup will blow the dobyns out of the water and I’m a big dobyns fan. Have had over 20 of their bass rods

Does that rod feel more like a extra fast action or fast action?
That’s a very good question! It’s the best of both worlds in comparing those two actions, I feel like it is extra fast in my hand by the way it receives bites, but it definitely has a more parabolic bend once setting the hook. Have you ever used an “ajing” style Japanese rod? They are very unique in this respect. What would you like to use it for?

@@donsavanhbounlord4528 hey man! Trout magnet and inline spinners like rooster tails were my go to for the longest. I’m going to try the mule fishing donkey tail jrs in my trout waters. Yes I do fish for them! Mainly in the spring and fall. But really those baits and some hard baits were my bread and butter. Very limited on soft plastics for trout. The magnets were hard to beat.
@@TheUltralightLife right on! I have some trout magnets, spinners, cast master’s and some 1.75” paddle tails. I’ve never used trout magnets for trout before only for blue gills. Those Donkey tail jr’s looks bad ass. I’m going to have to get me some. Thanks for the vids. I didn’t know what Ajing was. Lol. I want to get me a SUL rod. I’m still doing a little research. I’m still trying to figure out the metric system the rest of the world uses. Lol.
