This is the BEST milk bath shoot I have seen! The Mama is so stunning WOW!! 🥰 & I love how her hair color & flowers 🌸 just all came together to create a beautiful maturity shoot. Thank you for showing what to do b/4, during & what to consider during clean up ❤️
I just wanted to say the model was just breathing taking beautiful! Also...I absolutely LOVE the way you go up and beyond for your clients and taking every aspect into consideration of the surrounding space and scene!👏🙌

Thank you so much! I'm doing my first every milk bath shoot for a friend in a couple of days and this really helped! Thank you for the tips! Your photos are PHENOMENAL
You did and awesome job, great talent 😍 *Also grab a strainer to pick up the left over pedals/leaves. I do that when I grab all the cucumber out of my baths it helps 🤗
I love how you say that you clean up for your guests and make sure certain strong scents don’t trigger pregnancy sickness I love how you care for them :)
hi Ksenia, came back again to this video. Its SOOO helpful! I loved all the tips you gave and especially at the end when you go over physical challenges to expect as well as logistic challenges with time management. This is by far the BEST milk bath tutorial video on youtube. GREAT job! Watching the rest of your vids now.
I am just starting my business and want to do a milk bath!! I have watched a lot of tutorials and you explain everything so well!! Your model was gorgeous and the flowers and the milk bath was amazing!! You are the best!! How much do you charge for a milk bath photo shoot?? Thanks for this tutorial!!! I’m sure to watch more!!❤️❤️
Thank you! I'm glad it was useful! Whatever you charge for your sessions, make sure to add another $100+ for the Milkbath setup (I spend $40-$70 on average on flowers+milk and make sure your time cleaning is covered). If you're not sure what to charge for your photography I'll have some new videos coming up this year where we'll talk about the business of photography, and I also have an online course that explains how to make sure you charge enough and set your prices right
What colour flower would you recommend for ginger hair? Love how the colours came together in this shoot! She looks beautiful. And you explained do well and detailed. Thank you 🙏
I used an off camera flash (remotely triggered), but you can use an on camera flash, just need to bounce it off of the ceiling or wall properly. Off camera flash will give you more consistent and predictable light though, as the flash stays in the same place, while you're moving around
Yes!! I love the pictures and the model, but in my opinion I think there needs to be more flowers everywhere, I see to much of the yellowish color form the tile in the back, but over all I think they turned out good😘
Hi Ksenia, great video. A quick question: how do you deal with moisture and lenses / camera bodies? Is there the risk of getting moisture inside the lens/camera ?? How to work around that? Are you keeping the water temperature to lukewarm rather than hot?
Hi! Unless you drop the camera in the water, there's no risk of getting moisture inside. Cameras are sealed, I'm not underwater, I side shower or in a steam room )) I make the water temperature warmer at first and then it gets a bit cooler, sometimes I'd add some more hot water if needed. But the shoot is over in appx 30 min, because there's only so many poses you can do in the tub. Just communicate with your client and keep checking on the water temperature
This was so beautiful. I am learning so much about posing and techniques. I do have one question. I notice your screen is always lit up. Do you shoot in live view? Once again amazing information and all your tips are wonderful. I also love your tips on how to cut the flowers.❤
Thank you so much for share this gold info. Im photo student and I will have my first maternity/model. She will not pay because I need for practice but so nervous and I want do the best for her
Wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much! Sure wish you were on the west coast.....we would book a session! I'm going to give it a try and photograph my daughter ...... which of the two maternity dresses listed is your model wearing? I did not notice a change.....do you have a preference? :) The shots were all gorgeous!
Thank you for watching! One of the dresses has a slit in the front, so that you can show the baby bump. You'll see both dresses in the video, but they do look very similar
I love how the pictures turned out and these tips are so useful! I only have one question; will the milk powder damage the drain? Because I am going to shoot my sister’s first pregnancy at my internship (hotel) and I don’t want to damage the bathtub. 😊
No I've done it a million times. The powder dissolves in the water, it's like baby formula basically, just make sure it's dissolved and doesn't form any clusters. If you use flowers make sure to take them out before draining the water or use a strainer
Thank you ❤️ so I don't do children photography, unless it's a part of a family photo shoot, or it's close friends or very good clients asking me. I've done one milkbath session with a 6 months old just recently, but we used a small baby tub. I'll see if I can make a tutorial in the next couple months. Thank you for watching!
@@kseniaprophoto hi! whenever you did the milkbath session w/baby, is the same powdered milk that you used here okay for their skin? or is there another type that has to be used?
I used the same one, it's milk. So unless they are allergic to lactose, it should be safe. I've also used my leftover stash of baby formula 🤣 same effect )
Wow, your video has been so helpful for me! The results are beautiful! Congratulations! I am also a photographer and I am about to make this type of photoshoot for the first time, so this has been a relief :D thank you. I have one little question, what temperature would be appropriate for the water? I'm very concerned about it getting cold or being too hot. What advice could you give me for that?

What do you do with the flowers after? mine are sitting and drying. I’m also going to do a confetti balloon bath shoot!
Haha look at you with all the ideas 👌👌👌 I make a floral arrangement from the flowers that survived the milk bath, but other than that nothing...

Great job where was your flash placement I saw the transmitter on the camera
Sometimes I bounce the flash off if the opposite wall/ceiling for some fill, but I I believe I shot most if these with natural light
Beautiful model.. Looks like a fairy🧚♀️

Tip on the flowers because I know that pain and I found using a fine strainer helps gather them up

I would live to do this Ksenia. Well done. What stops me is i dont know how to make it safe. Is it safe to bathe in all kind of milk?
If it's safe to drink it I'd say it's pretty safe to bathe in it ))) it's actually good for softening the skin
Yes!! I love the pictures and the model, but in my opinion I think there needs to be more flowers everywhere, I see to much of the yellowish color form the tile in the back, but over all I think they turned out good😘
I agree, I didn't get enough flowers, usually I get more greenery to cover the tub. This was more if a demo shoot for the video tutorial

Where can I find that laced rob thing she’s wearing??
I want to try this myself.
You definitely should!
What do you use for the colored bath? Also does it stain your client or your tub?
I used food coloring, it's safe on the skin and didn't stain. But it may depend on how much color you use
