I can’t thank you enough for this comment💜 My quilt videos don’t get as much attention as my spinning ones. Like a parent loves their children equally but as individuals, I love quilting and spinning equally. Each craft brings me joy in its own special way😸. I’m spending a bit more time instructing rather than making at the moment, so my FOs are less. I’m also learning how to DnD😹. I’m enjoying that so much that I’m DMing a family campaign (with close assistance from my son). It’s like quilting and spinning just got a new sibling😹💜
@@UnwindingwithFiberandFabric Awww I love that! I'm more familiar with crochet, and spinning is my "I need to turn off brain" craft, but I enjoy them just as much as I do knitting and sewing. I'm so glad you're enjoying D&D!! I'm plotting out a one shot for Halloween currently, it's always fun to find new ways to make my players have a good time
I started quilting 15 years ago with a 6 weeks class. And I was the only one with a sewing machine! Over the years I've done some smaller projects by hand, even miniature quilts (about 2' square and 3x4') with the smallest haxagons. But I've never managed to learn hand quilting. Serious lack of coordination to do hand quilting 😮💨. For larger projects I really prefer the sewing machine for both stitching and quilting. Once in a while I do smaller projects by hand. Like the grandma flowers. Still need to come up with an idea to machine quilt these flowers 🤔
Grandma’s flower garden does seem to be a tough one to figure out the quilting for. I watched a longarm quilter stitch one a few months back @StitchedBySusan. It was a really interesting quilt to watch quilted😸
This was so in depth that I pulled out a notebook to take notes 😹 It was lovely to have an hour of you going in detail on something you clearly love
