It’s a beauty!! The main problem with this pedal is that the switches kept on breaking. It’s a pity… cos it sounds great! It just became too unreliable to take to Gig’s any more
Great video. I've recently tried to use my Vocalist Live 4 with my Fishman Loudbox but noticed that the guitar sound comes through both the mic and instrument channels. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks!
digit tech live 3 turns on but no sound come on..could a cheap adapter cause that to happen ? Chordes and mic are brand new so I know those aren't the problem.
And also can you configure the harmony button to be temporary? My other one I had would harmonize when I would step on the pedal and stop harmonizing when I let off, it was the DigiTech vocalist live 2
Hello from Thailand sir. You have a great sound and great voice. I got the problem with the gate harmony too, I fixed it by increase the main gain at the back of the effect and decrease the gain in another source. sorry for my English sir, I hope it will be useful, more or less. Thank you :D
How does this compare to the Vocalist Live 4? I have that; the pots/volumes stick up too high, vulnerably, and I think I have a short either there or somewhere else. Can't find a live person support # for Digitech to explore possible repair.
@@thepedalpicassos I don't think I've had any problems other than this volume cutout (which I am thinking is due to the pot, not the jack) which possibly happened when a drunk woman danced onto my equipment last year. The pots are so vulnerable with those stupid volume knobs protruding so high. I could see if they made them large and fat so you could turn them with your foot, but the temptation to adjust them with your foot is too great, and too convenient in the middle of a song to not try that. Due to their height, I don't doubt that my careful attempts failed to prevent damage done to the knobs / pots.
Is it possible to set the key of the song and store it with each preset, so you can use the pedal for harmonies without having to plug in a guitar? Also, what is the most number of harmony parts it can do?
Yes! You can! But I don’t recommend it with guitar…. Guitars will always drift out of tune… and the harmonies will sound off… if you use live mode… the harmonies will follow the guitars tuning and you always sound in key! Hope that helps!
Great review Sir. The Digitech Vocalist Live is also my favorite harmony pedal. I've been using mine for many years now. This unit is packed with so many features, far more that you'll ever need, but it's nice to have 😉 Mine sits very cramped on my pedal board. For something i use so frequently, I found it awkward to operate as I'm singing, so I got a clever gear tech to hard wire a break out footswitch that I can run out to my foot near the mic stand. This was the perfect mod for me, as I'm a bassist and I rely on the pedal's inbuilt microphone to pickup my guitarist's chords. Having a breakout box allowed me to get the pedal closer to her amplifier rather than get blasted by mine (it doesn't track so well with bass signals). Learning that this unit has been discontinued for so long worries me because I love mine & i find it essential. If I'm lucky enough to find another one, I'll have to get the mods done again.
Hi mate! It’s a great pedal. I was sad when they stopped making them… I have 4 of them… and they all have broken switches… and they are weird 3 pin switches that are impossible to find!
Ciao amico! il cambiamento maggiore e minore a seconda dell'accordo che suoni sulla chitarra. se suoni un accordo maggiore ottieni armonie maggiori. se suoni un accordo minore ottieni armonie minori. Spero che aiuti!
Also sensitive to the distance from the mic .. Back off the mic and the harmonies distance themselves as well. You can really get a subtle effect when you want subtle and sing louder.. Say "on the chorus" and you'll have heavier harmonies. Sometimes ill just leave the "harmony" effect on and just sing further away during verses and closer on chorus. Or you can click the pedal turning it on and off. While still having the main vocal effected with mic pre, gender style, pitch correct, effects etc. So many options before you ever step on the Harmony pedal. Easy to save personal settings. And you can use with any instrument as long as the box can hear the speaker....its call live adapt. It has a microphone built in to hear the key your playing and adapt to that . It's an incredible pedal. No more plugging in the guitar etc. Works great with keyboard etc. I wish there was a new version... But this sounds better than helicon etc I've tried many. You just have to tweak it so you don't sound overly effected.
How do i shut off the guitar ? I had assumed that the guitar through would be the right answer, but no, sadly. I want to run the guitar to the harmonizer but only have the guitar through my guitar pedal. I figured you'd be the one with the answer.
Great Review. You are AWESOME!!! THANK YOU
My pleasure! I’ve heard a rumour they are working on a reissue of this pedal! Fingers crossed!!
Un saluto di nuovo ho cercato altro ma questo fx è eccezionale. Grazie di nuovo del tuo filmato.
Never seen one of these before. Thanks for sharing. Pretty nifty device.

What an adorable bear! And he can sing And play guitar. Love the review too artistic and informative thank you for doing this video!!

Yes! There’s a momentary switch mode!

Thank you for this information! You are a champion!!!
Great demo ...I had one of these at one time it was very good and easy to work 👍🇺🇲
Thanks Donald! Hope you enjoyed it! It’s a great sounding pedal… I just wish the switches were better quality so I Don’t keep breaking it….
Witch type delay using in tis clip?
I have one of these. It powers up but can't get it to function. Any tips?

I had the vocalist live 4 … and the 2… I stopped using them because they kept breaking…. The switches and the jacks were pretty poor quality!

Can I power this with the one spot?
Yep! This one you can! The older ones were 12 ac which was a pain in the bum!
Does the pedal track the guitars' chords and bass the harmony on the input?
Yes! That’s exactly how it works! The weird part is, when your guitar goes out of tune your harmonies go out of tune with it!! Ha ha ha.
is it possible to use more than one fx on the digitech ? for example i want to have a low pitch and a distortion on my voice
Yes, the harmonies are in one affect block and the special effects are in a different effects block and you can run them at the same time

Will this work with a keyboard as well
Yes Biff! It will work with a keyboard as well, I have also tested it with backing tracks and it worked really well with backing tracks as well
Me too. Best adaptive great sounding harmonizer pitch correct etc .. and it's got the great live adapt. Id love a new version of this pedal.
Grazie voce 3 e 5 ma major o minor quale tasto cambia ? Grazievittorio

Come for the vocalist pedal. Stay for the lyrics ! I only wish my made up lyrics were as good as yours. 😊
Ha ha ha. You’re a little gem! Thanks! I think having a very low IQ helps…

Beautiful beginning tune😂
As an American, I would be singing Beatle and ELP tunes with that. You're doing country.. WTF...
What’s an American?

Sounds too artificial; I'd never use that for my own recordings.
The main intention is for live use as a solo artist.
