    Was great to finally see Sprout in the flesh and say hi! Glad you like the stickers ;)

      Cheers James, It's little details like the stickers that make the difference. Thank you.

    Like the green mats, like the door furniture, like the gear knob, that's a great mini you have there.

    I would scrub the old foam off and hoover all of the bits up. I would then replace the foam with new foam using proper 3M adhesive spray. I think the the green looks grand, it matches the paint of Sprout and it breaks up the black interior. After all they are 25 years old. The alternative into contact the Ebay seller and ask if he has a set in better condition, you would then have to pay reuturn postage. Also you would have to wait for the replacements to arrive. Alternatively you could negotiate a partial refund to pay for the materials to effect the repairs. Keep up the great content. love the channel.

    Keith, the mats are not an irreversible fixture so I wouldn’t overthink it as an issue, there’s bigger problems in the world! On another note, just a tip when screwing into baggy holes in wood, I use the end of “large” (bbq type) matchstick dipped in a drop of araldite or no more nails and push it into the hole nice and snug before you put the screw back in. (works on house door hinges and windows too) lastly, the black door furniture looks MUCH nicer buddy 👍😊🇬🇧

    Hi Keith like you I’d probably have preferred the black floor mats. I would go for the original door furniture I’m not a great fan of the alloy ones think they’re a bit naff. No offence to anyone who has them though😁
    Nice knob by the way😂

    Matts are a personal choice, black is great for general use, lighter colours for summer use.
    Orginal door furniture , looks much better. Good move.
    May do the same on mine.

    Great looking car despite the dust! I like the contrast and would have bought them for mine. My seats are porcelain green and grey but, the carpet is grey. I must look harder at eBay. Good luck with the show.

    Hi Keith, with all due respect I think I like the black carpets better but as you say maybe they will grow on you. I've been watching the Euro Cup football on TV and the players were looking pretty warm at Wembley so England must be getting some hot temperatures. Your idea of chilling out and having a beer in the garden by the pond sounded pretty appealing. Cheers, Midge

    Whow. Sprout looks perfect. It never left the factory this good. I have been following your project closely when I restored my red 1992 Mini Cooper a while ago. Your work is definitely on a much higher level. The videos are always helpful and encourage me to do even better on the MGB GT I am just starting with.

    What's your opinion on the under bonnet insulation, as the jury seems to be out on the various forums as to whether it makes a difference?

    • @classicminiworkshop
      @classicminiworkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest I couldn't really say. I've only ever fitted it as part of a lengthy restoration so I've never really had a chance to do a before and after comparison. However, the cars I have fitted it on have always been pretty quiet inside the car.
