He stated that he never wanted to be That big anyways (During the olypmias) and he only grew huge to try and beat Ronnie Coleman . Now he's not competing anymore yet he's still in shape and when kind of big
Reniassance periodisation also suggest this same structure. -Eat 1 hour before training. -Sip of amino during - protein immediately after work out - 1 solid meal within 45min to replenish
Everyone's talking shit about his Roid use. Who cares man. He still has to bust his ass while taking those, he's rich and lived a good life. Roids helped him but aren't what made him. He was driven and had motivation from the start. He's never said he's Natural either so stop bashing him. He trains harder then me or anyone on here
+Nate Clemons exactly. the dedication these guys have is crazy. I want to see have of these guys who think they know what they're talking about to look like that. juice up all you want, it all comes down to diet, training, and discipline. yes steroids help, but not like ppl think
+Are You Serious? yesss..exactly ...u r absolutely ryt..try steroids n u cant be even near him...thousands of people take steroids but how many can become Mr o
blankplanet thanks for the laugh! so true, I eat a small meal like a peanut N jam sandwich with a glass of milk and a banana. try that out, it won't get you sleepy. the peanut butter for energy and protein, the jam for the sodium, and taste, the 2 slices of bread for the carbs and a bit of protein, the banana for the natural sugar and potassium and the milk for protein, natural fats, vitamin D and to gulp down the food. the real meals come after the workout!
white rice is a fast releasing carb, while brown is slow. White is hence better post workout when u need nutrients fast and brown preworkout to fuel u throughout those 2-3 hours between meals.
out of all the body builders I enjoy following Jays training, and dieting the most. I think cause He has a balance on everything when it comes to this sport and it's right on target.
itscork I've been a Bears fan since Ditka was playing.I can't even recall who the Bears gave up .I remember his #18 but Cutler wasn't the solution.Between Rivers Cutler Romo take your pic on losing the game🏈😂😴
Complete, simple and direct. I wanted a clear explanation and got it here. If you can’t follow this explanation you probably don’t need to be trying to diet and be fit. lol
I'm not too knowledgeable on this kind of stuff but doesn't post meal food/shake still take a long time to be processed by the body? Like by the foods chewed, digested, absorbed, glycogen stored in Liver and muscles doesn't it render the whole post work out meal pretty useless for the work out just completed? I would completely understand a post workout meal for preparing your body for the next workout/replenish stores but to actually be used for the workout just completed, possible? I've heard it's got a lot more to do with what was consumed 24-48 hours before that really matters? E.G. a steak eaten immediately after a work out, how long realistically until it's been fully processed and is ready to build/repair muscle? Is there any truth to what I'm saying? Any advice would be welcome, thanks guys
Okay, I can't find this anywhere, but how long after a workout should a Rum and Coke be introduced? What's the best timing? Should It be before or after, or during?
Yeah that white rice is you have to mix the carbo with the protein otherwise the protein will not assimilate into your body that's a fact that's why you have to cut that white rice into that chicken breast in order for you to get the nutrition you need and that's a kick that's the key to you have to throw in a little bit of carbo ratio with the right protein ratios
yes and always remenber to have a protein shake while your training, and a protein shake when you wake up before breakfast and a protein shake before you go to bed, and a proetin shake in the middle of the the night, otherwise you go catabolic, adn we can not have that.
Just started eating grilled chicken and brown rice 40 mins before I workout and I feel a night and day difference with my energy and strength in the gym
In his videos back in early 2000 he was drinking POST WORKOUT whey with Gatorade. Here he advice whey alone then gatorade on its own 15min after.........
Protein takes longer to digest than the carbs in fruit, so the idea is to let the protein get a head start in the digestion process, then eat the fruit which adds carbs to the the blood stream and therefore causes the body to increase insulin about the same time that the protein has been broken down into amino acids. This increase in insulin from the carbs helps the aminos get into the muscle better.
What is the best protein powder to take? I've been hearing most of these powders are toxic for the body. There must be some reputable safe powders out there
I work out at 5:30am every morning. I Don’t eat breakfast, it’s essentially a fasted work out since I don’t like eating that early. Would you guys recommend eating before or just focus on the post workout meal?
Fasted workout is fine, it will burn your fat for sure... I only do this when cutting for a competition. I like going to the gym having 2-3 meals in my system already. But only one meal (one right before the gym) would have my carbs. The post workout meals will have my carbs split throughout except for my last 2 meals.
I usually have a banana and milk with my post workout shake is that bad? So i should eat the banana afterwards and does it matter if post shake is with water or milk and also what about flaxeed oils?
An hour before workout is not enough for me. I start working out after that time I feel sick af. For me it works a bit more from 1h30 - 2h. Test what works better for you people
Well some doctors suggest that we work out on an empty stomach is because we get more growth hormone stimulation the doctors say that if you eat carbohydrates prior to working out he'll destroy all the GH release this is the natural growth hormone that your body stimulates into to help you build muscle you have to think about what you eat pre and post it's a big deal what's going on
I had no idea those two meals are so important . I usually drink vodka 200 ML right before the gym and right after another 200 ML of Vodka, that is my diet.
I'm on a very tight budget and am trying to put on muscle. I love chicken but can't always afford it to eat like this. I'm thinking about trying cans of tuna fish. Any ideas for good carb sources I can have with my meal that adds lots of protein to equal the 40-50 grams?
Chicken is probably the cheapest source of protein, tuna will have more fat. Hake fish is very good option but not for budget. Look into cottage cheese... As for carbs white rice is super cheap...
forget his body, you can tell just by looking at his FACE that he's off those crazy dosages of gear he was taking. he definitely is still at a TRT dose of test, but just look at him hes not on high doses anymore

+kayla g Mr. steroids will smash you if you say that ... take his great diet advice ! This is a smart guy!!!!!
He's done with competing. Course he's shrinking
mikayla gilboy Still huge though, probably 250-260 lbs.
He stated that he never wanted to be That big anyways (During the olypmias) and he only grew huge to try and beat Ronnie Coleman . Now he's not competing anymore yet he's still in shape and when kind of big
He's not on HGH anymore so ofcourse... and prob 3000 less calories a day
I Love to see a legend that continues on his bodybuilding passion and continues a healthy training program and helping people! much respect
Reniassance periodisation also suggest this same structure.
-Eat 1 hour before training.
-Sip of amino during
- protein immediately after work out
- 1 solid meal within 45min to replenish

tried eating 1-2 hours before workout, went to sleep instead. Since then train fasted, thank you very much,
blankplanet thanks for the laugh! so true, I eat a small meal like a peanut N jam sandwich with a glass of milk and a banana. try that out, it won't get you sleepy. the peanut butter for energy and protein, the jam for the sodium, and taste, the 2 slices of bread for the carbs and a bit of protein, the banana for the natural sugar and potassium and the milk for protein, natural fats, vitamin D and to gulp down the food. the real meals come after the workout!
You’re clearly dehydrated
Lmao

miguel roman peanut butter sandwich and a banana is a great pre-workout meal👍
white rice is a fast releasing carb, while brown is slow. White is hence better post workout when u need nutrients fast and brown preworkout to fuel u throughout those 2-3 hours between meals.
Yeah but brown rice takes much longer to digest white rice. Complex carbs are slow digesting
He sounds like Peter griffin

But why aren't you a more consistent quarterback?
I am so SICK of losing to Green Bay every year.
Get with the program, dammit!
Ha ha..I guess that other Jay Cutler did not plan his meals around his workouts properly..

Norman Witt Carson Palmer maybe?
Flipping Grass Carson Palmer is injury prone a combo of the offensive line not giving adequate protection and staying in the pocket too much
oh, stfu you dork.
If you've guys haven't seen Jay eat, it's an event in itself! This man ,in his prime, filled up any table by himself!
Breakfast chicken + rice
Pre chicken + rice
Post chicken + rice
Nite chicken + rice
This is my recommendation
Complete, simple and direct. I wanted a clear explanation and got it here. If you can’t follow this explanation you probably don’t need to be trying to diet and be fit. lol
Thank you, Jay. I'm learning a lot from your contents.
I've been calculating my macros for over a month, and it works!
Cheers!
Thanks for keeping it simple 👍
simple and to the point...like it should be
what a beast he was and still is how can you eat all that day in day out then go kill it in the gym. born to be a bodybuilder what a legend.
nice video. thanks for the tips Jay
Very good advice
Thanks for the tip. Much respect for cutler.
When does he talk about his cycle?
Wow couldn’t have said it better for me, thank you so much champ!! Added this to my favorites/playlist & going to update my meal plan!

Appreciate the tips Jay. Great info !
Simple and effective, JC rocks.
Great vid bro,you should do more like this.i'd like it ten times if i could.
why the simply carbs 15min after the pwo protein? why not together?
You the man Jay.
good video. thanks Jay!
why the protein shake first and then the carbs post-workout?
Jay Cutler no. 1 and the best. ☝️👍
You STILL LOOK GREAT!! good stuff brother!
I say it all the time. Eating to gain lean muscle is just as hard as lifting.
I would go as far as to say that lifting is the easy and fun part. Certainly much easier than eating 6 times a week, day in day out.
Awesome tip. Answered my question thanks jay!
you're the man Jay! Thank you
Okay, I can't find this anywhere, but how long after a workout should a Rum and Coke be introduced? What's the best timing? Should It be before or after, or during?
+Master Volume Coke is bad.... Rum and Creatine within 30 min post workout. BOL
+KillerCali California You spelled stupid wrong.... LOL... Of all the words you could misspell.
And chill out, dawg... It was a funny joke.
Darrin Heike

For cheat meals I always wonder if I should do it the day before a big workout, the meal directly before, the meal after, or if really doesn’t matter.
Spot on King Jay!
Abdul Khan donuts after a workout is a good sugar and carbs replacement too
yes and always remenber to have a protein shake while your training, and a protein shake when you wake up before breakfast and a protein shake before you go to bed, and a proetin shake in the middle of the the night, otherwise you go catabolic, adn we can not have that.
GOOD ADVICE
Good - thank you MR O
What would be good to eat in the mornings before gym at 7am.?
5-6 eggs
Just started eating grilled chicken and brown rice 40 mins before I workout and I feel a night and day difference with my energy and strength in the gym
Thx my dude!
I been a fan since 2006
Great advice from the BEST :-) THANK YOU JAY CUTLER :-)
Why wait 15 mins between protein and glycogen?
So.... Do you take steroids before or after?
Is it okay to eat white rice around 3-5h before training ??
In his videos back in early 2000 he was drinking POST WORKOUT whey with Gatorade.
Here he advice whey alone then gatorade on its own 15min after.........
Jay cutler- gotta restore glycogen in the mu-
Ronnie Coleman- Good ol’ chunken and barbecue
eu sou um grande fã desse cara !!!
I fucking love Jay.
Why is it necessary to wait 15 minutes before eating the fruit? Would it be harmful to eat it alongside the protein shake ?
Protein takes longer to digest than the carbs in fruit, so the idea is to let the protein get a head start in the digestion process, then eat the fruit which adds carbs to the the blood stream and therefore causes the body to increase insulin about the same time that the protein has been broken down into amino acids. This increase in insulin from the carbs helps the aminos get into the muscle better.
What is the best protein powder to take? I've been hearing most of these powders are toxic for the body. There must be some reputable safe powders out there
his eyes are so green!

no doesn't matter, just focus on calories and protein totals... carbs totals if your cutting.
Smartest bodybuilder
As I started following diet and training plan from Agoge Diet, I took my confidence to the next level. Girls finally started noticing me.
i've been following the agoge diet and it definitely works great
Why the simple sugars after the protein and not both together?
Christoph Boss did you find a decent answer?
tomer191 no not really
I just could imagine that the longer time without carbohydrates promotes burning fat after the workouts
Christoph Boss maybe because he bloats up when mixing his shake with sugars...
Christoph Boss plus gatorade and a protein shake together will taste like fvcken shit
I can't eat anything before working out. I start burping it up and it's hard to get a pump when most of your blood is in your gut digesting food.
Why the carbohydrate meal is after protin not before???
Protein takes longer to digest.
An hour before workout is not enough for me. I start working out after that time I feel sick af. For me it works a bit more from 1h30 - 2h. Test what works better for you people

I just want to get fit for boxing and bjj. Do I need that much protein
lmao no, he is a bodybuilder... your not.
@@shootdasmmAny sport that requires strength and muscle needs protein. Stay off of comment sections.
I had no idea those two meals are so important . I usually drink vodka 200 ML right before the gym and right after another 200 ML of Vodka, that is my diet.

Hahahah Shoenice a few weeks after quitting alcohol
He sounds like Peter Griffin.

+kkplo569887 look at how he looked while competing, and then compare that to now
While I'm sure hes on TRT doses now, you can't tell that just by looking at someone lmao.
shuarma0 PLEASE!!! STOP REFERRING STEROIDS TO " GEAR"
IT'S AS BAD AS, " MY BAD".
he is getting old you dumb fuck, of course the body will change, you will change to in 10 years
