For 99.9% of people out there there's no need to partition nutrients, it's just too complicated. Total daily caloric intake + a good ratio of protein, carbs, fat and fiber coming 80% from whole healthy foods they love the taste of will do the trick. With 20% being whatever they want as long as the calories are accounted for.

So you eat carbs before a workout to get energy and after the workout you eat protein for example a proteinbar, vegatables etc? for the best results?

Hey Thomas. I see some videos where you say you are fasting before and after your workout and eating in the evening. Then on other videos you are recommending eating fruit before the workout. I'm intermittent fasting and skipping breakfast while working out in the morning. My trainer wants me to eat carbs before and after my workout. I'm confused. Please can anyone shed some light here?

Can you simplify it down for me?
    What u got was:
    1. carbs, 15 min wait
    2. Fruit, 15 min wait
    3. Protein, 15 min wait
    4. stretchy sets
    5. No carbs, just protein
    6. Carbs- Coconut oil, grassy beef, tumeric, broccoli
    7. Protein
    8. Carbs
That's probabaly wrong as there was a lot of extra stuff in between each 'step' so could you please clean it up for me.
    Many thanks

      +Woody ozone
1/2 - The fruits are the carbs.
3 - I'm not watching the video again but I don't know what the 15 min wait is for unless you're saying you should start your workout then which doesn't sound right.
5 - He said protein and fat.
6 - I'm not sure if you're trying to call all of those carbs but that was his meal you mentioned with 5.
7 - Missing the fat again.

In Thomas' more recent videos he recommends high glycemic carbs post-workout, so which one is it?? Carbs . . protein? . . Fat?? Doesn't replenishing glycogen stores with carbs after a workout help muscle growth? Very confusing when one video contradicts another.

I am body building but at an unaffordable rate. I understand that bodybuilding is very costly but there must be a way for people on a very tight budget. I'm 24 and I desperately want to get big and fit like you guys. Could you please upload a decent and lengthy video for all of us young guys who are aspiring to be ripped and big at an affordable cost? Please man, all of these other websites and Google are NOT giving a clear and straight answer.

+Annatar Its really hard to eat a bunch of fish, cuz usually fish are so small and sometimes real expensive. Beef is not as expensive and you can get a lot of it at once, as for fish, you have to buy one at a time. It's really all based on preference, yes you are correct, fish are rich in omega 3, probably even more than the beef, but like I said, fish are hard to eat mass productively, as for beef, its much much easier and cheaper.
That was a real good point tho it had me thinking xD

I'm an 18 year old high school soccer player and I was wondering if you Thomas DeLauer or anyone else knows if reduced fat triscuits are a good snack that's high in carbohydrates to eat a few hours before a soccer game, I usually just eat a banana about 1-2 hours before but I wanted to eat something else at least 3-4 hours before the game because I'm not sure if a banana is enough. If you have any suggestions for better alternatives and/or different time frames, feel free to mention them. Thanks!

1.what to eat before and after my at home daily workout and how many calories and protein I should have on a daily basis?

3.How long approximately should I start seeing changes

    • @commandercody1078
      @commandercody1078 8 ปีที่แล้ว

Push ups and jumping jacks will not build a lot of muscle. To build bigger muscles, you need to get stronger while eating more.
Heavy weight, low reps in the 3-6 range per set for 3-4 sets. Each week, aim to improve your personal record by going up one rep or slightly increasing the weight.
Do big compound exercises that hit multiple muscles including your biggest ones:
Bench press (you can do this on the floor)
      Overhead press
      Bent over rows
Pull ups/Chin ups (add a weighted backpack)
Squat with weights (you can add a vest or pack)
      Deadlift
A good starter kit is two adjustable dumbbells with 50+ lbs of plates for each, wrist straps, a pull up bar, and a foam roll up mat for the floor.

    • @commandercody1078
      @commandercody1078 8 ปีที่แล้ว

Eat to bulk up too. Clean bulk calories would be your weight x 15, plus 200 to 300.
Eat protein grams per day around 0.82 x your weight. Good protein sources are packaged tuna, chicken breast, and whey protein powder.
Fill up the rest of your calories with healthy unsaturated fats (nuts, avocado, olive oil) and high fiber carbs (fruits, veggies, beans, 100% whole grains).
