Same here. Been getting into darts. There's so many great moments in this sport, big shout out to Phil Taylor. He was the biggest name in the sport for 30 years. Check out the PDC or Sky Sports Darts channel to see some great matches.

I just like he champions smaller lesser known sportstars, co he was the lesser known youtube MMA guy at one point. and I'm from the UK, the Nottingham Forest badge, getting lesser known UK fighter on like Pimblett years ago. everyone else wants the big names Ariel just goes with who he wants on.

I get goosebumps every time I watch that leg, especially with the commentary. Super happy for Michael, he’s such a down to earth guy. Hope some of the MMA community can get an appreciation for the amazing sport of darts after this!

Take over the dart's world he only needed his first title and now they're going to come pretty often now his game is going to go to another level he's going to be hard to beat now be good to see him and his good mate Peter Wright in a final together Pete said soon as Michael won his first the rest would come and it has great to see him become world champion the year after being runner up he went to another level this year
I got hooked on The Darts and the PDC during covid and its literally the most exciting tournaments week in and week out. I’ve even built an entire darts room like I’m a regular bloke from England. My profile pic says it all 😂😂

Very glad to see darts get some coverage in the USA. I totally agree with Ariel, I think darts is a very personality driven sport and could be very successful in the USA for that reason (we love our strong personalities here). Lots of overlap between darts and pro-wrestling, the pageantry and the fun of it all. Also, anyone can pick it up and play!

Man I love how diverse Ariels coverage and interests are! I tend to tune into the darts when it's an important tournament and I've been a few times, it's the best night out anyone will ever have, honestly. If it goes global it will be something special!

I've watched it multiple times too, I don't watch the darts often but enjoy playing it and watching this leg and was blown away.
The man has finally got what he deserves as it was only a question of time before he fulfilled his potential, and i think the whole dart world is happy he has finally done it.

Ariel, you have the Premier League Darts in Nottingham on Thur 16th March, then Nottingham Forest at home to Newcastle Sat 18th, and then shoot down to O2 London for Leon Edwards to defend his title on the same day! Greatest sporting trio anybody can ever dream of!

Michael Smith is not just a great player, he is also a great human being and is often seen trying to get the crowd to show respect to his opponents when they are throwing. So glad to see him reaching his potential and receiving the rewards that success brings.

Darts in the UK has always been something that people have enjoyed watching over the years an over the past 5-10 years its grown more the events are fun an people have a great night out going to watch it. An obviously you've had greats over the years like Phil Taylor eric Bristow michael van gerwan Raymond van barnavald etc but games like the one in the last world final are special games an im glad to see that it got big attention on big platforms all around the world

It can be beat. If MGV had made his 9 darter, that leg would have been perfection. The fact he missed means it was not perfect. Brilliant whatever way you look at it. How they can maintain composure with the unbelievable electricity and noise in the air is beyond belief.
