After last week's build, I was inspired to create another mech to add to my Wild West. I love building mechs.
The idea was a mobile watchtower or outpost that patrols the tundra.

The more this world continues to grow, all I can think of is an awesome open world game. I mean that would be so cool if you could customize your own mech and ride around in it, hunting monsters for extra cash on the side.

Love the concept, and i think that "Strider" would be a good name because of the long legs. I easily imagine this one being able to take long range trips in shorter times compared to other mechs, or be used as a scouting mech ahead of hunting parties with heavier, beefier mechs.

These mechs are used for long term monster hunting in extreme terrain, such as snow, heavy rain, swamps, and large mountains. Unlike other monster hunting vehicles, these act more like tree stands, allowing hunters to get a good view on a monster from a longer distance. Inside the main cabin, all of these mechs have a built in stove and radio, as well as a place to sleep, and store weapons/food. The crane on the back can attach to crates to lift supplies, but they are most notably used to attach to hunters, allowing them to do repairs on the mech without the need to stop.

I'm loving the western monster hunter series. I think since the mules are smaller and named after a beast of burden then the larger one should share the same trait. There's something very soothing about it and is putting me in a relaxing mood. had at be at a 7:30 meeting at work today, on my day off, and so now that I'm home I don't want to do anything. So I'm watching youtube videos as I draw. Listening to him describe what he's doing is nice and then when he's done, I get to see the final build. So, i don't have to pay that close attention to the screen so I can focus on what I'm drawing, but something about his tone is just nice to the ears. Dude should do audio books.

This has been an impressive series so far. Old West theme (but not 'hokey'); cool, original monsters; anachronistic automation: to quote the Doctor, "has someone been peeking at my Christmas list."

Could you add giant animals or giant insects as monsters or just some flying monster because then you could add like a flying going with rotors and guns that hunt the flying ones or even some of the big monsters! Also amazing video and amazing build as always :)

I really look forward to these videos - I mainly kitbash things for specific games and such but I might turn my hand to doing something more of my own imagining like you have some time

That is so janky and awesome. Like a hoopty vardo giraffe. Can probably cross a LOT of terrain in that.

I love the aesthetic you got with this one! It reminds me of of the art of Jakub Różalski.

Maybe you can make like a cabin in the woods were a fight between some cowboys and some monster happened and there is either the fight or the aftermath, that would be cool, I love this universe you are creating

Enjoying your work! This one gives me flashbacks to the 80s tv series The Tripods.

I love this series. This was a gorgeous addition. If you wanted to keep the beast of burden theme for the mechs since you started with mules that could be cool, especially since you mentioned the mechs are slower than the horse drawn wagons. Maybe camels or bison for these big guys?

Since he has made that one bison headed monster, I think that these beefer four-legged mechs should be Oxen.

Just better and better from you each time. I've been painting minis for 4 years and I've been wanting to get into models like this. And you've been a great inspiration for that

Looks like Tim Burton's Wild Wild West/Star Wars mashup. The differences between the builds within this universe are great.
