This week my wild western world gains the addition of another monster! Somewhere in a desert canyon an old mine has become occupied by a crazy banished hermit Sasquatch. It has been making trips from its lair to a nearby town to eat the locals and their livestock. The townsfolk have hired a skilled hunter to get rid of the threat, but he may not be prepared for this hunt.

A mech waist deep in swamp water fighting a water monster would be awesome.

That would be awesome! I can just see it, a period correct mech constructed out of dark hardwoods, cast steel plates with big rivits and huge gears and pistons. Its mechanical claws latched. onto a giant river eel.
Boylei is the only YT builder I know that can do this with any justice and it would look perfect in his Wild Imaginary West series. I can't wait to see what he creates next!!!

A monster-hunting wild west game sounds like a really cool concept with a lot of potential.
Edit: And with all of those other monster western projects, they really compliment the idea of an actual game.
An XCOM style Wild West monster hunting game, maybe in that dark swampy style like Hunt: Showdown. I would dig that.

Great build as always. You should add some cattle skulls and bones to the cave entrance. Make it seem like the monster has been killing farm animals which is why it has to be hunted.
I was going to suggest that, too, but then I realized that would indeed be a reason to hunt him, whereas the way it was presented, there's ambiguity as to who's right or wrong here. The monster might be misunderstood, just a loner living in his cave, gnawing on a monster moose bone.

Love this series! For buildings what about a monster hunters office, (like the sheriff's office but for the local monster hunter?) Or possibly a Blacksmith/ Weapon smith/ Armourer, or some sort of lookout/ guard tower to protect the town against roving monsters? Monsters, would still like to see an alligator monster... or catfish monster!

The Bounty hunters are basically the Western era version of Witchers. That's what I got from it. Love all of these you come up with.

Most excellent. A very fun build. I like how it came out with the rider on the ground. Maybe he was on the trail of the monster and it heard him coming.
This world should become a video game. RD2 + Skyrim monsters + bioshock steampunk... I would play the crap out of that!

These monster hunter scenes remind me of a young adult novel series called Monster Blood Tattoo by D. M. Cornish. It had some fantastic world building including flintlock-era tech but with biological components and monster hunters who where augmented with electricity producing organs. The author made lots of illustrations that I would recommend checking out.
The mosnter concept had me giggling lol I loved it, very creative!

Or maybe a mech with a base that travels on train tracks?
Please make a scene where there is this really huge bird being lassoed by hunters. I believe it is called a "Thunderbird" based on legends.
That is a cool idea, could also use a Terrorbird.
I suggested a "Thunderbird," too! There's even a supposedly "lost" old west photo of a dead Thunderbird surrounded by the cowboys who downed it.

Loving the wild west world. Monster ideas: rattle snake, vulture, tortus, chupacabra, giant spiders/tarantula are always nice.
This project is fantastic; bursting with dusty, calloused atmosphere.

I really love all your content but I have to say, these unique western dioramas are by far my favourite. I'm sure the star wars ones must get more traction (and I do love those) but this Western world you're creating shows so much creativity and just makes me want to make things!!

I love this whole concept. As a kid I read Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog comics. I can imagine SD visiting this world. Can't wait to see the town expand. Maybe a blacksmiths shop with a high tech forge and some partially repaired mech?

These characters and theme should be a t.v. Series. Western town with monsters and cowboys that kill and capture them.. pretty cool stuff.

I love this series, it's so super enjoyable to watch because Wild West is criminally under represented right now. The addition of the monsters and sci-fi elements just totally go from fun to addictive.

I could see a cut away diorama of those prospectors fighting aliens or monsters in a cave…and the cave could have Alien tech glowing on the walls. Similar to the movie”Cowboys and Aliens. That was a great movie/ comic.

I love this theme! Maybe some monster bird nest on top of a rock needle, and cowboys hunting for some monster eggs 🤷🏻♂️
When trying to come up with monsters, you might look into american cryptids and folklore. Creatures like the Jersey Devil, El Chupacabra, and various lake monsters might give you some cool inspiration.

Something I like about this fantasy West series is that it is not historically accurate but it is accurate to the experience of the settlers. The West was the ultimate unknown where anything seemed possible. You could run into a snake bigger than your horse. Or find impossible landscapes. They used the most advanced technology in the most rugged of environments so your sci-fi element has the same uncanny quality to us as it would be to them. If you want to understand the experience of the early settlers then your series does a great job of making a person feel the same sense of disorientation, fear, and wonder
