DoDonPachi DaiOuJou Black Label 1-ALL with Commentary / B-S / 59,103,430

Please excuse the lax commentary style for this video - recording a 1-ALL of this game was a journey and a half. It took maybe 5 hours between my first and second 1-ALL of this game.
I've always struggled with consistency, but DOJ takes it to a whole new level with its difficult bosses, hyper rank, and power recovery (for B-S), which complicates the ease of applying a consistent approach/route. I had to watch lots of replays with B-S and then modify them to account for my skill level, which includes many more deaths and mistakes. Some strategies only work at near full power and that can take a while when you're using SHOTIA.
I tried using EXY for a while which really helped make stages 1-3 consistent, but my routing is not good enough in stage5 to make it through with only two bombs per life. Hope to be able to get up to that level before the M2 port comes out.
I'll take a shot at White Label next.

I love these 1CC’s as they are more in line with my skill level (I.e not some mad Japanese player no miss 2 all-ing the game). I actually prefer exy to shot as although you get fewer bombs not powering down so much after death really helped me get through the game. Stage 5 is a bitch but if you can beat stage 4 you can beat stage 5

Stellar run man! I love the pacing in the stages and, interestingly enough, there are times when the look and feel of areas reminds me of film noir. Great commentary as per usual! I love the attacks in this game and your maneuvers are a delight to watch. Have a wonderful start to the year and I’m eager to see what else you jump into in 2023.

Nice commentary and clear, with a unusual choice of ship type. Even though DaiOuJou is already a fan favorite in the bullethell community that doesn't need any help, I hope the announcement of M2 port will convince more people to actively play this game (Let's be real, there's something really satisfying in laser-bombing the hell out of Kouryuu's face).

Thanks so much! I honestly didn't know that B-S was so unpopular until I started to look more into the game, haha. I just picked it to have enough bombs to laser bomb Kouryuu's face :^).
I'm sure the M2 port will bring more attention and newer players to the game. As you point out, it's "popular" already within the community, but perhaps we can onboard new players into the community as well :D!
