Ronnie James Dio once said something to the effect of 'most good guitarists, if they're lucky, will write 2 or 3 great riffs in their life, Tony Iommi writes 2 or 3 great riffs every day'

@Andy Salter I seen an interview with Tony and he said he's got two bed rooms full of D.A.T tapes in bags. He said he could sell music to any band who needed ideas for songs.

That's probably why a lot of guitar players list 'Iron Man' as one song or the song that made then want to play guitar and/or the first song they learned on guitar. Great post!!!

Yes please! My first love in music. When I was a little kid I remember listening to Black Sabbath greatest hits with my dad for the first time in car when we were driving to our summer cottage in Lapland. After that I asked all the time from my dad if we could go sit in the car and listen to Black Sabbath CD he had in there. In the end I started going there secretly alone to sit by myself and listen to the music. I was very intrigued by their sound because I had never heard anything like that on the radio. It was addicting. I remember how addicted I was to two songs: The Wizard and Iron Man. The Wizard sound was so mesmerizing for me because of the harmonica. Iron Man had the most addicting riff. It was the coolest song ever for me. We actually went to see the movie Iron Man with my dad because of the song Iron Man. We were hoping to hear the song in the movies. I remember being disappointed because they only played a small part of the song during the credits after the movie ended.
    Some suggestions:
    - Ozzy era: Iron Man, The Wizard, Children of the Grave, N.I.B.
    - Dio era: Die Young, Lonely is the Word
Keep going with Sabbath! Love it!

Best if they start with "E5150", which I always interpreted as an extended opening to Mob Rules. The transition into Mob Rules from E5150 is one of the hardest rifs in all of Sabbath and all of metal imho.

I'm going to keep hoping that this will eventually lead into a STONER / DOOM MARATHON! People have been requesting one for months on Patreon and it would be a great continuation from Black Sabbath who pioneered the genre. Sleep, Kyuss and Electric Wizard are the main influential stoner bands, and you already got some experience with Kyuss so that leaves 2 more.

I’ve been watching for almost 2 years and I love your channel! But I’m still waiting for some Pink Floyd!!! You guys really need to do a Pink Floyd marathon as well! Their albums are 1 big piece with every song flowing into the next one! The music is amazing! You guys really need to hear the Wish You Were Here album or The Dark Side Of The Moon! You won’t regret it!

I love watching you guys cause you help me to hear things that I never would've. I've listened to these songs you guys review for twenty plus years - like a lot of us in the comment section, I know the sound and the lyrics in my sleep. But since you guys are listening to it for the first time, you hear the little intricacies that my ears are almost unable to pick up on after hearing them 1000 times. Love it. Love your reviews and your energy! I HIGHLY recommend Sabbath's "Symptom of the Universe", "Under the Sun", and Montrose's "Space Station #5"
