My mother, grandmother, great grandmother & great aunt lived at Sheaoak Log near Gawler, late 1800s to 1930s. Thanks for the photos, they would have shopped & caught the train at Gawler.

An excellent slide show. My dear wife and I are going to Gawler in two weeks driving from north east NSW with the intention to move house. Thank's for showing the great history.

do you have any photo's of barnet road, when I was 5 I lived in a beautiful old home I believe it was Mr Birketts home as he lived with us until his death we had a visit from 2 old ladies wanting to look around as they lived there when they were young and told us stories?

Really interesting..I have so many connections with Gawler - My GG Grandfather, John Harvey, delivered the mail between Adelaide and Gawler in the 1840's. My father showed Jersey cattle at many a Gawler Agricultural Show and I went to High School there in the late 50's early 60's.

I love the shot of the Super Elliots bike store back when it used to be the Oddfellows Hall I believe? my Brother in law Rob Hahn used to own the bike shop from the late 70's up till the early 90's.
