Maybe everywhere where you are… and if you want to risk being singled out that’s fine. This is only for the few who want to utilize Greyman theory and be the best they can in any environment. Many people are happy being a sheep a soft target and living a life of mediocrity. That’s why Amazon sells so many crap $50 tactical backpacks. And we’re all thankful for those guys, since they’ll be the first to go 🤷🏻‍♂️

All very good points. Though over the last 10 years the adoption of 'Tactical' backpacks or Ruksacks as everyday carry bags for average people has become pretty normal. Here in NYC and Brooklyn, you can get on a bus or the subway and 1 in 10 people are carrying a tactical backpack. More specifically tourists, freelance workers, laborers, construction workers, students, people in photo, video and film production; no one gives it a second look. These bags have become so common that even the NYPD ignores them unless you look weighted down and lost. I've been using one for my everyday photo production use for the last 8 years and the only time I was stopped by the Transit police was when I was carrying a smaller book bag from 20 years ago. As the Rucksack becomes more of a personal style or "Fashion trend", they will simply begin to blend in with the fabric of everyday life.

Its kind of funny to watch these guys on YT saying: "keep it low profile don't use backpack with MOLLE straps etc." While no-one gives a fart about looking tactical anymore. But I believe that person/ author might be living in some area where situation and culture is very specific, that's totally possible. It would be nice if the author would specify what cultural and security context is he talking about / for.

This makes sense, in theory but there are too many variables to be worried about how your pack "looks" to others... Because the main issue is going to be WHO you are with. Grey Man or Full Kit are irrelevant in a SHTF scenario. People are going to get targeted for many different reasons. Poor situational awareness and being alone is a huge one. We live in "peace time" and people who look like they don't have anything, get robbed all the time. As a youth in NYC, dudes would rob people for fun. For bus cards, bags, purses, jewelry, jackets, sneakers etc.. All things that more than likely got tossed. They were done to prove a point or show that they were "bold", to others. Mob mentality is the scariest part of the situation. All it takes is 5 armed people to rob EVERY passer by that they encounter, in a urban scenario. It won't matter whether you have a $20 pack or a $500.. When robbery becomes "Culture". The most important thing to invest in is a "community" of your neighbors, that you train with and can roll with in the event of a situation. People think that they're gonna easily escape to the woods or a safer location, by themselves/with family, with nobody trying to follow you. Most people are gonna instinctively follow people that seem to know what they're doing or where they're going. That will be multiplied by 10. Even peaceful people will try and end you if they see you inflate a raft, knowing they're gonna get left. Even if they don't know what to do with it or where to go. Lol. Find at least 5 men, in your community, that are "No Joke". Get a plan together and train together. What people don't understand about SHTF is that societal/moral norms will deteriorate quickly. People will navigate to power and as always... Will turn into a battle between the righteous and the wicked. That means that rhe righteous are gonna have to be 10 times more aware, prepared and ready to do what's necessary. We live in peace time and are surrounded by degenerates. That number will explode if "law and order" become a thing of the past. You're gonna NEED a Group to protect your gear. Doesn't matter whether it's a $20 Jansport or a $600 Eberlestock. If they have the numbers, the drop on you or catch you in the wrong place at the right time... You're leaving with your pockets looking like Bugs Bunny ears.

I agree, I consider my self a good guy and would have no problem shooting people on sight regardless of what they are wearing because I dont want to take the chance of them shooting me on sight. Imagine what the evil people will be doing. Someone thats starving and has already resulted to robing and killing ant gonna care how grey. Its fantasy thinking, like planning for zombies. Grey man will get you killed if shtf. Now blood stains and a scull hat may scare away good people, then you can just kill everyone that didnt run away or hide from your war paint feeling confident they were evil and going to target you. I feel like if shtf one of the biggest struggles will be not trying to kill innocent people while not being killed and I think the best way to do that is look like some crazy purge guy armed to the teeth with a necklace that has a bunch of human ears on it. In theory good people will hide or leave and not want to engage with your crazy looking ass and then again in theory you can then assume everyone else is the bad guy. Kinda like gang tattoos on the face, its to intimidate good people but it doesnt work on other gang members that are inked up too. So yeah if I look crazy AF like Im enjoying the carnage good people will avoid me and then I wont have to kill one thinking they were bad and gonna kill me.

Guys, let's be real. Grayman shit only passes when things are calm. When SHTF it doesn't matter what your BOB looks like, anyone and everyone carrying a bag is an equal target. So you put on your body armor, and you pull your weapon out into a semi ready position and everyone can see it. To quote John Wayne in thy movie Big Jake "Everyone knows what we got, this just let's them know they can't have it".

@@BoneTactical really, hmmm. The lion picks out the weakest gazelle at the back of the heard, and when shit hits the fan, humans reduce themselves back to their animal instincts. You see this in 100% of total anarchy situations. This is like telling someone the best way to avoid getting attacked is to come off as non-threatening as possible, which is literally the dumbest thing you can do.
When the George Floyd riots started in Minneapolis, which was literally as bad of situation you can prepare for, I had to get a female friend out and to safe part of the south suburbs, away from it all, I literally had on a tactical assault pack, helmet, vest and my weapon was out. Literally everyone avoids you. They focus on weaker targets who won't put up a fight.
Less than .001% of the population is even physically prepared to handle violent confrontation, this idea that you're going to have fight off groups of well trained and disciplined attackers who know what to look for is completely fictional.

The being low key or "blending in" depends on several different factors. Scenarios and environments will dictate what type of gear you will be using. If SHTF, bugging out in regular clothing is good if you're in an urban environment. But if you're bugging out anyway, you're gonna want to stay away from urban areas. All together, so called military style equipment and color would be beneficial in a couple of ways. 1. You'll blend in with your environment and 2. People will most likely f*ck with you less if you look the part. Again, everything depends on the type of scenario and environment you are in.

I'm in a relatively safe place and use a "military" backpack daily for two reasons:
    1) Durability. I was FED UP with typical backpacks breaking after a year or so, this one I have for 3 already and I see no damage so far.
    2) Capacity. Good for going to the grocery store and buying like 10kg of stuff.
Some hiking backpacks would meet those criteria too but I just didn't want to risk having to throw it away again.
Also, sometimes looking dangerous is what you want. For example, people are less likely to ask you to wear a mask :P

yep , and only thing that can match good ol' military big bags are bags 1 like Mares 100 L spearfishing bags ( can even be worn on back like ruksack ) and 2 sport bags 50-100 L , but again make sure it can be worn like ruksack cos it's 10 times easier than to carry it by hands ) . I stopped buying expensive and non durable stuff from hiking companies , they are just not worth it . I bought military duffel 75 L bag for price of 25 L hiking ruksack and it's 20 times as durable . I use it for groceries often too , nice point ! I use it for winter swimming and trips to nature and short trips to wild beaches . I cannot just go to nature with small hiking backpack . Big bag is the best investment I made , I can put in my duffel military marine bag so much stuff I need . and I am so simple , for me there is no base layers , mid layers , it's always the same and simple . In summer just one shirt and soccer pants to be light as possible + light hiking boots , cap on head and that's it , in nature I take shirt off and jump in sea , I don't care about uv rays etc . But without 75 L duffel army bag I couldn't do it . Even in summer , I need 2 l of water , hiking shoes or boots , sometimes fins for diving , mask , big towel to sit and lie down on rocks and to dry after swimming . 25 L hiking bag is just toooo small for anything more serious . Duffel bag is just one big bag , so simple and that makes it superior for spacing bigger items like fins . In winter I need space for putting big jacket . Day can be warm and I leave house in t-shirt . Suddenly wind and cold air , rain comes I need jacket . I go with bus , and that's essential , many young people don't own car and they would benefit with big bags . But even with car , you cannot aproach nature with car directly , you need big bag too . One thing - military bags can be damaged and you will need to repair it sometimes , it's not piece of steel , it can be damaged . Spearfishing bags are even more durable because of nylon and PU addition on them and if you are often on sharp rocks and just throwing military bag without care , it would be damaged , but it won't be destroyed like hiking bags that are just too light and fragile for hard use . But spearfishing and even sports soccer etc bags can last a looong time . Spearfishing big bags are good choice for those who are afraid of sea water damage and are waterproof often . So next choice for me will be those big spearfishing bags that can also be used as rucksacks to be worn easily . P.S my duffel military bag is heavy bag , but it feels so light on my back , so ergonomic , suprisingly efficient and I don't feel pain while carrying big loads . It can be easily adjusted to be worn more on hips or more on lower back or more on middle back , it takes seconds to adjust it design is so simple and genius in same time !

Why would they target somebody who’s trained/not messing around? The only time I would see that would be if they were big gangs of people that had no fear and will target you, but then again why would you even let them know of your existence, or even be in a position where somebody could get a drop on you. In a true SHTF situation you would not be walking around or going out and being around people, you’d be sheltered/forming funnels.

I would argue that a tactical bag would make a great bug-out bag if you plan on keeping it stored somewhere. If you had a bug-out bag at home or at the office, the extra storage space and bonus pouches would be extremely useful. I wouldn't have it as an EDC mostly because it's bulky above anything else. In most situations you would realistically face, you would have time to retrieve your bag from home anyway, but an EDC with some basic supplies could come in handy. I would rather use a tactical if I was camping or just going through the woods. Never know when you need that extra storage space, especially if you are out foraging.

That is not true for me. A military backpack with molle system is very useful for hiking, last forever & everything is at hand in pouches when I need it, first aid, cookware, rain jacket, etc. For trekking is better a proper non-military one with a comfortable fit. You can get much better and comfortable everyday backpack than that survival one for better price and buy the survival gear separately. The only thing I agree is that if you live in a shithole, it is a bad idea to carry a backpack that looks military because, yes it can call the attention.

You should ALWAYS have more than one of everything. METC will dictate your equipment. This video is obviously made for covert gray man stuff. But military packs are extremely durable, and modular as they are used in systems. Military surplus is also a way to get some great used gear at great prices. But youre spot on about grey man. Also, everyone wears them nowadays after the military clothes came back in fashion as a trend 5 years ago. Plus most dudes buy them during their conscription time so many of us have them. So this does not apply,at all

    • @BoneTactical
      @BoneTactical  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Less than 1% of people have a MOLLE backpack. And in fact, by confirming dudes coming back from conscription have them, you’re actually confirming the point of this video. The most dangerous thing, young man, and some thing that I hope you can take away from this is that whether you realize what’s going on around you or not it doesn’t change the reality of what’s happening. if you realize those around you or sizing you up and that those around you with elite, tactical or operational experience can tell very much about you by what you wear and how you hold yourself. Then you have an opportunity to be much more successful in life. If you don’t realize the treasure of information shared in this video, then you are simply dooming yourself to the same repetitive unsuccessful endeavors that you have already tried and failed. I hope this helps.

I get what you are saying but grey man isnt really thought through. 1st no one takes into account the people that will shoot you on sight no mater what you are wearing. Id rather be ghillied up sneaking around than in a Hawaiian shirt. Id rather have my guns where I can get to them quickly like on a sling or on my hip, not in a bag or under 3 layers of cloths. The presence of me with my guns should make good people go the other way so if you are coming my way in grey man I have to wonder your intent, if you coming at me while Im in tactical gear guns out I know you are bad news and dont have to wonder I can just open fire. I live in an area where city meets the wilderness so camo will come in real handy for traveling through the brush to pop in and out of town to look for supply's. Anyone that would target me for a loot drop because Im wearing camo would most likely target me for a loot drop if I was in grey man cloths. Lastly theres the possible intimidation factor, theres a lot of combat vets out there so theres a chance some street gang type might decide to pass on you and go after a more civilian looking target when they see you smashing around like special forces armed to the teeth. If I was a bad guy or group Id much rather target someone that looks like a high school teacher than someone I have to wonder if they have deadly training and been in gun fights. Grey man sounds cool on youtube when everyone talks about it and it attracted me for a little while and then I started thinking more logically and less trendy and decided Id much rather be able to jump in a bush and disappear than look like a push over. Id argue taking it even further with trophies from people hanging off me like war paint. Most people would run or hide if they saw someone armed to the teeth with a skull hat and a necklace with like 10 ears on it and cloths stained with blood. Looking like trouble is good repellant even now. I bet if most people saw 5 guys with gang tattoos all over their faces chilling in an ally most people will avoid going down that ally but normal looking guys in normal cloths Im sure most people would walk right past and feel perfectly safe. I think grey man will get people killed if shit did pop off. Its like dressing up like a deer to walk around a bunch of lions and hyenas, Id rather dress up like a lion.

Grey man theory is great until you're alone at a Waffle house at 2am in a SpongeBob t shirt and someone is asking you questions trying to find out if you're worth robbing. -happened to me
