Beautiful track record (no pun intended ;) and gorgeous bicycle! I’d love to ride it sometime! Maybe I should consider building one? :)
57 miles in one hour. Impressive!
... fantastic, well done 👏
Ar you in there Backwords? And why?
@Alcange oui, boyaux
Any power numbers?
Francesco is a very strong amateur rider. I'm not sure his power can be published here...
@@jcgosselin Is it top secret?
If you estimate his CdA to be 0.07 (typical for recumbents with fairings) and CRR 0.03 at a system weight around 100 kg, to go at 92 kmh you need to output 342w: 259 w to overcome air resistance, 74 w rolling resistance and around 8w in drivetrain losses at 97.5% efficiency.
To average 100 kmh you'd need 424 watts, something a world class time trialist could possibly achieve ;)
@@yohandsome you forgot to mention your air density assumptions, you could achieve 100kmh without a world tour guy at high altitude
He has to crash to stop?
No but the felt it was easier and less risky than being catched by his team (which is the usual way).
Not for the claustrophobic!
