      Hey Pan got a quick question. I cleaned my engine and used some GUNK Engine Protection and forgot to wipe off the excess and it created a very sticky residue on everything. What's the best way/thing to use to clean it all off?

I could have just shown the shots where I apply the product, but I thought it was cool to show the entire process. As this is meant for people who might want to dip their toes in the ceramics world with an easy to apply product, I thought it was even better to show them that they can do the steps at home too. :)

    Thanks for the video. Love it as always. I’m struggling to see the point in this product though. If you’re going to all the trouble of prepping a car and applying a ceramic, why not make it a 2 year coating from the same company. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @gravitygear
      @gravitygear 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Flashing time, curing time, application. Whole lot of reasons. If you have a single car, you better be prepared to NOT use it if you apply traditional ceramic and there's even a small chance of rain.

    • @Jayg80
      @Jayg80 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      gravitygear personally I don’t think flash time, curing time and application are important to the people who use this. They’re taking all the time and effort to prep the car, but then use a watered down version just because it cures/flashes quicker

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for watching Jay! Some people don't want to bother with flashing times, 24 hours of curing as they don't have a garage, more complex application and/or removal, or simply have never tried ceramic coatings and are scared they might do something wrong. This CQ Lite is a great way to be introduced to the ceramic coatings universe as it doesn't get much easier than that. Once you have that experience, of course CQUK 3.0 is a better, more durable choice.

    • @Jayg80
      @Jayg80 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pan TheOrganizer so this is more ‘forgiving’ than the full fat version. I understand your points and I guess we’ll see in time. I just have a feeling people will go to a lot of trouble prepping the car and it’s those people that will want a 2 year coating. Could you test this against TAC Moonlight? Pretty pleeeeease 🙏🏼 thanks for the reply too, legend!

      If you have used any of Car Pro's coatings / products you would know they are some of the best. When it comes to durability and hydrophobic properties. I've used about 5 different ceramic coatings now and so far Car Pro's CQuarts 3.0 has been by far the best. Much more hydrophobic than any coating ive used or even spray on sealants. It's amazing just as if it repels the water. I've recently used the car pro Reload as i was on my 2nd month since I've applied it and it appears to add ever so slightly more sheen/gloss. Hard to tell for the average joe. And repels water just the same or slightly better but could be in my head if it actually repels water better, just seems to bead and sheet water off instantly.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You have to keep in mind that written things get interpreted differently by the people who read comments. I saw this as a direct attack to all the hard work I put into my videos. I spent hours detailing the car, even more hours prior to this testing the product on other cars (as only the products I like make it into my videos) and so many hours editing, it kind of hurts to read a comment like yours and I was like "Wow! Is that all he took away from a 30 minutes video?"
      Why would you write such a thing? If you value being a long time subscriber to my channel, maybe you should have worded it differently. At least add a LOL or something. You understand that in no way shape or form did your phrase even remotely sound like a joke...
      My viewers know that I appreciate them. Heck I wouldn't be here at almost 260,000 subscribers without you guys. But of course I'm sensitive to the work I produce. Making videos is so demanding.

      Thanks! The applicator and towel must be thrown away. After discussing with Avi, CEO of CarPro himself, it's always best practice to discard those as even washing them with an APC/detergent could still leave some residue or crystals behind that could scratch your paint. I don't take that chance.

    Love the videos Pan! I am liking the sound of the consumer grade ceramic coatings and I'm having trouble deciding between CQuartz UK 3.0 vs Optimum Gloss-Coat. I expect these to be on your 2019 best products video, but I'm trying to make a decision now!
    I was also extertaining the idea of using McKees 37 new formula Paint Coating, as they have good reviews on their Glass Coating and have a really nice bundle deal at around $200 for everything you might need to apply it aside from a DA polisher. They also have a rinseless wash that they claim multiple uses for and I would love to hear your opinion and any experience you might have with their products.

What product do you put in the foam cannon? What pressure washer do you use? Also, if the car is new and in need of a paint correction where does that fit into these steps and what would you use to do it? Just curious. Want to make sure I bring the paint out to its very best before I install the clear coat. Lastly, very curious if you prefer the lite vs or car pro quartz UK 3.0? And what would be the best thing for the wheels? Thank you so much! Sorry for all the questions.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No ceramic coating (or wax or sealant) protects against swirls and scratches. That's not what they're designed for, and the big coating brands don't claim that their coatings protect against swirls. Yes they can help attenuate the "appearance" of love marks from washing and drying but that's pretty much it. It you want ultimate scratch protection (and stone chip protection) for your paintwork, PPF is the only solution.

      No. You don’t apply waxes or sealants on top of ceramic coatings. Here’s how you do a maintenance wash on a ceramic coated car: th-cam.com/video/yLiePQRMFc8/w-d-xo.html

    Pan great video and I will be trying the product. Did you use this on the CQ lite on the windows?

    Very nice! But in my opinion it would be better to show us hydrophobicity of Lite without using Reload because i mean using just Reload anyone can have great hydrophobic effect..
    Something more, if we use Reload as usual to maintain how can we see the Lite is “gone” after some months and need to apply it again?

    PAN YOU ARE THE MAN. Love the videos and detailing help for the DIY community. Question, I think you said it in the video but wanted to recap. I used carpro UK 3.0 on a vehicle and it's been about 3 months or so working great but can you use carpro lite as a topper for UK 3.0?? I assume I follow your maintenance wash instructions i.e prewash foam, reload wash and ironx decon, than apply carpro lite??? Thanks for the help.

      Thanks!
      You could use Lite as a topper, but in your case, I would recommend that you apply CarPro Gliss as a topper. It will give you more slickness and greater hydrophobics.
      Here’s my Gliss tutorial: th-cam.com/video/d2wDvUIYrtw/w-d-xo.html
      Wash, IronX, IPA, Gliss.

      Thank you for the help sir I will look into that asap. IPA I use carpro eraser correct??? How many coats of gliss?? Can this be a continuing topper ever 6 months, or would I than go to a carpro lite application??

    Looks like a great product for $50 US. Like the ease of application and the all inclusive kit. Other than a a little cost difference, I'm wondering if it's just better to get the 3.0 since it's the same amount of work. Tnx for the video!👍👍

      If you have a bit of experience with coatings, then yes of course CQUK 3.0 is the better choice.
      But for people who don't want to stress about flashing, levelling, 24 hours curing time, etc then Lite is a great way to be introduced to the coatings world.

    Great Video and very informative. If you already applied a ceramic coating, would you apply this on top or go with the Gliss?

    What black gloves do you wear? And what wash bucket did you have? Looked like it had a side caddy for brushes/sprays.

    I was looking at this product last night before I went to bed. Woke up this morning and here is a video on it! Great timing! It looks extremely user-friendly and for the price it looks like it’s going to be unbeatable. Being that it’s a 150 mL bottle do you think you can get multiple cars out of the one bottle and can you buy extra applicator since you have to throw them away? Great video as usual!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks FAB! You will probably get 8-10 cars out of one bottle, as you're using so little product it's nuts! 150ml is a huge container, and you're only using a few drops per panel once the microfiber applicator is primed.
      And from my understanding, CarPro will eventually start selling the microfiber applicators individually. It was super nice to use with this coating, compared to the traditional applicator blocks and microsuedes.

    Hi Pan, once again very thorough video on application. Thank you for sharing. Question I have is what is a good method of knowing when the base layer of ceramic coating is wearing off as opposed to the wearing off of the sacrificial layer of reload?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't really know if you also apply toppers. As long as there is water beading and sheeting, there is protection.
