Jørn and Floor met in USA during some Prog-festival in 2007. She while she was a member of After Forever and him as member of Pagans mind. They became good friends and found out about their common love for straight forward rock. So they agreed about a collab. But both had their stuff going on. Especially her since she got a burn-out in 2012. But nearly 10 years after, they met and deicided to finish of the project. Both of them has a connection to a dutch artist named Ayreon. Or it is a one-man-project, but he has a lot of guest artists. The singer of Pagans mind was contributing on his 2017 album. Check out "The day that the world breaks down". Such a masterpiece.
The switch on the guitar is to select which pickup on the guitar is actively in use. Most guitars have two pickups that pick up the vibration from the strings and send that signal to the amplifier. The most common configuration for a switch is up for the neck pickup which is the one closest to the frets and gives a brighter sound. In the middle allows for the use of both the neck and the bridge pickup. And down is just the bridge pickup which is usually more warm tones. By using the volume knobs that control how much each pickup will transmit the sound to the amp, you can create a sound break while maintaining the sustain on the note. Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine is a prime example of how to use that technique. And by the way, I am not normally a fan of makeup but LeAnn, whatever you did for this video, wow! You both are beautiful women.

Floor Jansen headhunted Jørn Viggo (pronounced: "Jurn Viggo") Lofstad (He pronounces it without the D at the end,meaning the D is silent,otherwise you were spot on lol) for her sideproject. Theyr paths had crossed with "Jurn Viggo" being in Pagan`s Mind and Floor was at the time in After Forever/ReVamp,and both bands at some points played at ProgPower USA and ProgPower EU etc together. So she knew from hearing him play with his band that "i simply have to work with him at some point!" And when she contacted him,he replied yes right away. The "switch thing" y'all were talking about is often called a whammy bar. While depressed it varies the tension on the strings and bends the notes. :)
