Ghana is not even there yet. We are going to revamp the entire curriculum and tailor them to skill-based programmes. Graduates should be well-established and skilled to function in 21st century world of work. Once we finish, we will market our educational system as tourism to attract foreign students. There'll be more opportunities for Nigerians to participate in our education system here to progress in life.
Great news
Ghana government secondary schools are prestigious schools , most are like Universities, I live in Europe and have seen many secondary schools here in Europe and I realised Ghana secondary school are one of the best in the world, beautiful and well established .
Here in Ghana the schools are competing between themselves so you can’t be found lacking. Not everything is done by the government . Old students help the school a lot
I see. Good to know.
Nigeria will get there. As long as Ghana exists, Nigeria will be inspired to wake up and move. It is well.
Amen 🙏
Nigeria must organise, parents also play a significant role in the discipline of their children.
Yes I believe this too. Nigerians are talking about this now, next thing is when the time comes, the government won't be able to fool them no more. Seeing these videos on TH-cam I understand how corruption can destroy things. Every country in the world is corrupted, Ghana is corrupted so is Nigeria but over there in Nigeria, you can see the destruction clearly. Let's pray and fight for a better future for all Africa. God bless our nation Ghana
am sad for Nigeria as Ghanaian No wonder every Ghanaian Schools WIN WORLD ROBOTICS Challenge every Year
You see..that's my point
SOME GOVERNMENT SHS IN GHANA ARE OLDER THAN GHANA INDEPENDENCE AND FIRST CLASS AS WELL. 😊
Wow 👌
Nigeria got the money and all the resources to deliver quality to her people. Nigeria wakes up!
Exactly 💯
Private senior high schools here in Ghana can't compete with Government schools
Because it’s expensive to run senior high schools
That’s a lie!!!… have you heard of Lincoln community school, GIS, galaxy international, SOS? There hundreds of Montessori schools in Ghana, and all this schools are better than our first class government schools!.. ordinary private senior high schools in Ghana are not many in Ghana.
@@clementasampana4402he's not talking about those private schools. The schools you mentioned don't even run on GES education. They do American or British curriculum. He's talking about the private schools running on GES.
@@harrietacquah2545 they are all private schools! They are even many than the ordinary private schools.
This is a lie. I went to a private school
Though school fees was high, we had every facility. In my time, local students paid ghc7k a year foreigners paid $4k. I wanted to send my brother I asked for the fees for local student. It is now ghc8k per semester but the school is better than when I was there. Privates schools can compare to government schools. This is fact. When I was there, we had a good science lab. We worked with chemicals in experiment. 2 Good computer labs, we had 3 different libraries n 1 science lab. Good assembly hall. Good playground though small compared to government school. Better food than government schools. Good toilet facilities, every floor had toilets, on main on of the ground. Bording house too, every floor had toilets n bathrooms
Here in Ghana if you're a head master or mistress, you can't disrespect an old student. The old students have power and the students don't joke with their old students never, everywhere we see our old students we give them respect.
Exactly 💯 how it should be
Ghana and Nigeria schools are complete opposite. In Ghana, government high schools are better than private high school. Unlike Nigeria, private high schools are better than private high school.
Most of these private senior high schools has even collapsed due to free education
U r a joke
In Ghana being a teacher requires you write Teachers Board exams periodically after every 3years and when you fail you are given second apportunity . We believe that a dumb teacher will teach nonsense.
This is to make sure that the teachers is learning and upgrading themselves.
You see .
Of course that's mother Ghana 🇬🇭
The leaders of Nigeria must stand up and fix things well for citizens ❤❤❤
So true
Even back in the 70s it was Ghanaian teachers who were teaching in your secondary schools. My poin is Ghana is always ahead i terms of education.
Exactly 💯
These are some of the things you put into perspective 👌 when you're rating a country and not just the size of the land scale of the size of the population. We have to admit where things are going or have completely gone wrong and find ways to revive them, but some Nigerians are so naive that they will attack Ghana unnecessarily and defend the bad things in Nigeria. They forget about Nigeria being giant and concentrate on things like these if they really want Nigeria to work. Thank you for that analysis. You've been critical and transparent with it. God bless you 🙏 ❤
Thanks for your input and understanding
In Ghana if you fail your BECE that’s when you attend private SHS, you are going to luck respect among your peers
Interesting to know.
In Ghana, you can only teach in SHS if you attended & graduated from the University of Education in Winneba and issued a licence to teach. So like you said it is intentional. You have to decide that is the carrier you want and earn the qualification needed.
Exactly how it should be
This is not true. In Ghana, you either a professional or non- professional teacher. If your qualification involved education studies, eg. B.ED -bachelor of educated, then you are professional. This can be obtained in any of the 46 colleges of education, including univ.of Educ.,Winneba, UCC,etc
@@maf4364but now if u do BSc or BA programme..u have to do diploma or post diploma in Education ooo n write the license exams before u can even apply to teach
In my time..my mates who did BSc n decide to teach..later they had to do diploma in Education..Otherwise they will have been kicked out
@maf4364 please do your research well, even before the introduction of teachers license, every senior high school teacher was to have educational background. I remember 2012, almost half of my shs teachers went to winneba for educational programs. That's when they introduce distance learning so that they can attend school on weekends for 3years before u can be issued a certificate. Without educational background one is not qualify to write teachers licences exam
I’m watching from MSP The Twin Cities Of Minneapolis/St.Paul.
Talk the talk and walk the walk. Nigeria! There’s no cause for alarm. The facts are crystal. I also watched The Aggrey Memorial SHS In Cape Coast Ghana and The Aggrey Memorial Secondary School In Nigeria. I don’t want to talk about it.
Lol. It's okay, dear .
Nigeria has a long way to go Nigeria schools are not not not

Exactly 💯
Even in UK 🇬🇧 here they think they know everything ooooooo
Ghana feeds the those in boarding houses of government schools three meals a Day. Breakfast, lunch and supper. Now even days students are given lunch.
Can you imagine 😍 so interesting to know 🤔
Govt schools in Ghana are the best. All best students prefer govt SHS.
Surely
What's more dangerous for Nigeria is that 26% of children of school going age are walking in the streets. Whiles in Ghana, every child is either in Basic, JHS, SHS, or VTEC
Lol. Facts
@angelfelix5871 believe you are Nigerian, in ghana right? Can you compare the schools in your village to the once in the city?😒
@angelfelix5871 you sound very ignorant about the Ghana education system. I'll challenge you to visit the village SHS and see things for yourself

Dear take it easy,,,,,,😂😂😂it looks like u are angry .... everything will be well in your country Nigeria
Very nice to compare them than the insults others do thank you my sister😊
Uwc darling ♥️
You are very truthful and diplomatic as well.
One thing i like about you and that of Lily is that, you tell the truth. You dont hide your country's challenges to talk of of others,Ghana's own.
And you dont look or talk down on other country. You only say it as it is.
So no sane person from Ghana or other country will attack when he or she knows that even your own u dont hide it, you even hit it hard. That is u being fair and no biase or partiality.
The person will only come to correct where may be u got it wrong but attack.
My dear, it's tiring 😫
Thanks dear 😘
Ghana is not done yet we are going up to and
Exactly 💯 keep it up
Almost all the government SHS in Ghana accommodate more than half of their masters on campus
Wow 👌 excellent 👏
You are doing great job keep it up sister
Thanks 😊 🫂
These high schools in nigeria are ridiculous 😂
🤣🥲
Yet, they claim to the giants. Giants in rubbish.
You are right.
You can't even teach in primary school in Ghana without degree from one of the Universities of Educations..
Cos of pay structure. Degree teacher in Ghana earns Gch3000 which is almost N300000 monthly in Government schools plus free education free health care and maternal care.
Free laptop and WiFi.
There's no teacher in Ghana earning Ghc1000 no way.
Ghc1000 that's nursing and university students allowances.
Wow. Good to know
Ghanaian teachers are paid according to rank. The list or the entry level of a teacher is 2500.... Some receive 6000 to 10000 plus.
@@Trigger_the_Spirit_man Eish an shs teacher in Ghana taking 6000 to 10000. Y are they lecturers. There’s nothing like that pls.

Seriously the secondary school in Nigeria looks just like junior high schools in Ghana.
Exactly 💯
But let me tell you my sister, in Ghana secondary schools and it universities securities in the country, some of them earnd about three thousand Ghana cedis a month base on their qualification and long service. But we're carrying that security pay is small.

I believe that
The compound of the Nigerian High School that you showed looks like a Junior Secondary School in Ghana. (JSS)
Oh really 🤔
@@chivicworldTV He is right. those are basic school structures in Ghana. I am a teacher in Ghana and even with my master's degree, I still teach in the Junior High School. even though it is a personal decision. my salary is 4000+ cedis....I don't know how much it is in Naira, but you guys are doing well. putting your leaders on their toes. kudos!
@michaelboateng1980 thank you sir 🙏
4000 Ghana to naira is about 397,000 naira, which most teachers in Nigeria are taking 4000 naira a month and some are even taking below that 🤣🤣🤣@@michaelboateng1980
4,000 cedis = 400,000 naira
Well done my sister....i am a Ghanaian but admire the way you speak with boldness. You have a unique way of presenting and seem to be very fluent in the use of proper English. You also portray a great zeal and passion for what you do.Behind your picture in this video,it states I am a Lawyer......i wouldn't be surprised if you are a Lawyer. With the constant complain by Nigerians in Ghana that there is virtually no electricity supply in Nigeria, how do you do your videos?
One thing that you Nigerians forget when comparing Ghana to Nigeria is that we have two different cultures.Especially when it comes to schools,we are brought up to value it so much that we will make any sacrifices. That culture may be absent in Nigeria.Again you guys don't take into consideration the fact that Nigeria's population is almost ten times that of Ghana but the landmass may not.The population of the Yoruba in Nigeria is about 50 million and Ghana is only a little over 30 million.I'm not in any way trying to hold breathe for the Nigerian government but Ghana also has challenges in the education sector. There are many parents in Ghana who also complain the same way you do.This reminds me of the saying, the grass always looks greener on the other side.
In my opinion,it's not the Nigerian government alone that must do more but also the PTA's and Old Students' Associations in Nigeria that must help as we do in Ghana. So by all means learn some good things from the Ghana system but understand that each nation is unique and things cannot be transplanted wholesale from one country to another.
Lastly,in my opinion Nigeria's greatest challenge is the too high birthrate.....no country even in the advanced West can afford the rate of the Nigerian population growth. If Britain,America or Germany had the same population growth as Nigeria, they may become third world countries within a a decade or so.Let Nigerians start family planning today and maybe within a decade, things will begin to change.Remember that Rome was not built in a day,so when it comes to national development,it takes time and effort. We all have to be patient and make sacrifices for a better future.Let's not Nigerians feel bad by thinking that Ghana is better, that's a fallacy.Let Nigerians remain home to help rebuild their country rather than Jakpa-ing to countries they feel are doing better because that's a defeatist attitude.Let patriotism make Nigerians choose Nigeria first as you have done. You are a great example to Nigerians all over the world.
You just made me cry 😢 by the way you displayed a total understanding of your write-up. And this is what most Nigerians drag me for. I'm glad at least there are people like you who can relate. God bless you 🙏 ❤️ 🙌
@@chivicworldTV -Keep up with this great work and showcasing the best in West Africa.I can't however overemphasise the need to encourage your fellow Nigerians to stay home and build your beloved country. We have a proverb in Twi which says that He who climbs well needs a push...you're climbing well and you deserve to be supported.
