Unfortunate that the trolls have moved out of the mines and onto social media. Thanks for all you do for us armchair explorers. Keep being true to you, stay safe, and just block the haters, we don't need them.
I generally don't comment on your channel all that often because I don't feel as though I have a lot to contribute, but I do enjoy your videos immensely. Hearing that you're having trouble with trolls just turns my stomach. Anyone who watches your videos should see a good hearted man that is simply following his passion. Keep doing you Gly, for all of us who love you.
Gly, the best way to combat the trolls is to continue the great content and ban, block, and report. It is our diligence as creators and viewers to keep social media positively social. Thank you for keeping to the high road and being a creator. On another topic, my wife and I were the 20th to watch your video today, a personal best.
Social media platforms ban and demonitze enough already. Need a platform 100 percent free to post, say what ever you want (within the law) I never delete someone for what they say. Regardless if I like it or not
Yeah Gly, I definitely don’t think twice about watching your new episodes that come out on Saturday morning. Also don’t worry about me, I’m more supportive of you my friend. You deliver a great show when you can and I truly appreciate that.
I don’t comment much, but I’ve subscribed….I don’t do more then that. I love mining and geology. I feast on the the walls of the mine. I love your narratives
100% agreed about social media. I was born in 73' so I'm also old school. Social media has made way too many people comfortable with saying whatever without fear of getting punched in the face. Besides that I really enjoy the mine explores, the closest thing I've found to the old Gold Fever shows with Tom Massie on the Outdoor channel back in the day. Excellent exploration again.. thank you for taking us along.
I always look forward to watching your videos. I don't understand why people would come to this channel which is about exploring mines to spread toxic garbage. Keep up the great work!
I TOTALLY agree with you Gly. Its a great pity the wonderful opportunities given by new technologies are being squandered by some, but troll people have always existed. Keep doing what you do SO well :)
Gly, I rarely comment but after watching your commentary about your experiences with social media I thought I would. I'm currently 64 so my feelings seem to align with yours. I also spent my youth exploring mines and caves in Vermont. I like to roam the west in my retirement and I love watching people like you out showing off the hidden treasures of the country. Keep it up and keep it safe.
“Gly”: Evil and darkness is always trying to find a way of slipping into our lives even when we’re doing the things that bring us the most joy. You simply have to live long enough to reflect on what is was as compared to what it is now. I’m afraid things have seriously taken a turn for the worse.
Gly, thank you for having the hutzpah to say what needed to be said and move on. Your faithful expect you to be a leader that way and are grateful that you handled this in the way you have.
Well said Gly I was born in 68 and I too thought social media was cool. I try and stay off the comments. Except here. This video was awesome keep them coming. Looking forward to next week’s video
Please don’t ever get discouraged over negative people. They don’t appreciate your dedication to providing awesome content. We love watching your videos! Keep up the great work.
Gly your technique for filming has improved,I can see the difference and good for you for trying new things, top quality productions, the back light is a great idea, thanks for all you do,really enjoy your work, you make Saturdays really cool!
Totally agree with you about what social media has become (I’m ‘52 vintage, so you’re just a youngster 😀). Another excellent video as always. The great majority of us truly enjoy and appreciate your work, so please keep doing what you do so well. All the best from 🇬🇧
Love your videos Gly, and many that come to watch your fascinating exploration of mines sincerely appreciate your videos and your time spent going into the mines and the recording and editing of videos. Just do what you are doing with the negative commentors, delete, block, and maybe even report them. You said it Gly, you do not have time for negativity and toxic garbage. Thank you for bringing us into these awesome and such fascinating mines. Blessings to you Gly. 💞😊👏 (I was born in 1970) I totally get it Gly! 😉
Your a man that practices the highest levels of integrity Gly. Every week, you bust your boot laces to bring to us, the highest level of mine exploring content on TH-cam. There's nothing fake, about what you put out mate.
I am also non MSM & generally don't comment in digital world, but man your adventures take me back to my youth. I saw underground hard rock mining a mile deep in the Silver Valley of Northern Idaho as a boy. I heard miners & mining at every meal. Love the content & remember it's not possible or necessary to please everyone, in spite of great effort.
We completely agree with you about social media Gly and the headaches that come with it. There is something very special and rewarding when you make connections with those core viewers of your content. We have so much knowledge, kindness and support from our viewers and other channels. It's those few that remark about something that has no correlation whatsoever to the video that irritates us as well. So our favourite new tool is "Hide User From Channel". Keep pushing on with the great explores.
“Gly”: Hi guys! Hope your doing well and exploring some really cool places. Yeah, it can be frustrating and it’s human nature I guess to allow these individuals to get into your craw even though the vast majority are good people with very positive things to say. This is the first and only time I’m really going to discuss it with my viewership as I believe I’ve now made my point. Oh yes, I too know very well how to use the “hide user from channel” button. Little by little all of us content creators are weeding the trolls out. Take care guys and have fun this summer!
Gly, you make awesome content. We are so appreciative of you going into these mines and documenting/filming them for us and for future generations. Don't let the trolls get to you and don't let them change the way you operate. I like how not only do you do your best to show us as much as possible, but also describing what the place feels like and what we are looking at. Keep it up man, maybe one day I'll get a chance to explore some of these places and maybe even get to meet you.
Social media is a double edged sword for sure. There are some great interesting things out there, but so many trolls and negative vibes out there. Glad for good wholesome content like your channel.
Gly, I appreciate what you do. I'm notoriously bad about not subscribing and forgetting to like (I watch youtube on my TV) so the reminders aren't a negative, it reminds guys like me to do our part. I watch a lot to learn topography and what to look for. I'm in New Mexico, so a lot of the wild is similar to the mines you explore, which helps me as I want to continue looking locally to see if maybe I can find a seam someone hasn't found historically. My grandpa was a uranium miner, and would regail us with stories all our lives. Seeing it first hand helps bring his stories to life, and I miss that man, he was a second father to me. So seriously, thank you, it means a lot
This is a wonderful channel Gly with some excellent filming, and you personally shines through, I’ve never been down a mine , never been to Death Valley or any of the other locations you explore, I don’t even live in America but I do think this stuff very interesting and watching the other explorers Jeff , Frank and Tom and Julie and their different styles as well as Brent from cerro gardo really give us viewers content we could of only dreamed of a few years ago, Keep well and keep enjoying life as you are
I’m in total agreement with you Gly, social media has become a cess pool of argument and insults. Keep life simple, keep up the great work and most importantly stay safe.
Gly, you know that us base watchers don’t care about the trolls. Personally, I watch your channel because you do stuff that I can’t do myself. The older I get the more that history intrigues me. I love being a fly on the wall as you explore these mines. Keep up the work!
Gly, give them troll’s the flick. I absolutely enjoy exploring the mine’s with you. I have a bad case of chicken liver and I don’t have long ear’s and a cotton tail. I like being a being a armchair explorer. Thank’s again Gly for the adventures.👍🏻🇦🇺
Love it. Never miss an episode, even if I miss when they come out on Saturday. Best show on youtube. I have to say the shoulder camera is one of the best views we get. Really makes it feel like we're walking through the mine with you.
i'm an 80s baby myself but i'm here for the education & exploration, anyone who isn't, there is plenty of other places on the internet for you to go and speak your mind to, leave this humble prospector alone
Gly I look forward to every Saturday to watch your video’s my dad was a miner. I was raised in every silver mine in Nevada and California. I can see now what a man he was. Thank you.
Hi Gly. I was one of those people, who found your channel, through the mine with all the dead critters. From then on, you had me. Watching people exploring old mines, wasn't something I was regularly watching before that. Because of that episode, I'm now a long time subscriber who's slowly been binge watching ever since. 😂😂 Your care & respect for the environment really resonates with me. I love hearing all the knowledge you have, especially with the geology. I'm a rock hound, so seeing some of the crystals, rocks & minerals, has me positively salivating @ times. I have a fairly large collection & I especially love rare & unusual pieces. 😁🤓 Thank you so, so much for all the effort you go to for us. Bringing us such incredible experiences. You're such an awesome, humble guy. Be safe out there. You need to visit us in Australia. We have plenty of old mines here. Robyn from Western Australia. 🇦🇺🦘🐨🤟
lived in vegas for 20 years.. I miss those vistas, and the dark blue color the sky, and that surrealistic haze of dust and distant mountains. loved exploring all around Nevada.. Ely, Pahrump, Mt Potosi, Goldfield, Beatty, Rhyolite, valley of fire...death valley, çountless mines( but inside only one.. that crispness of sound, smell of stone dust and chalk.), so many high desert hikes.... had access to a cabin in Belmont, A-frame near "Dirty Dicks Saloon".. that place was so cool to explore .. charles manson scratched his name in the courthouse there back in the day when that group hung out in Belmont . thank you for all these amazing videos and explorations! p.s. Leahman caves HAS to be experienced!
I don't know If I have ever told you this but I am physically handicapped, I never used to be, and I was a closet outdoorsman, I lived in the city and worked in the city, but every available moment I was out in the wilds either fishing, camping, hunting or exploring and any combination of the these. I have always been at home in the open country, in the forests and growing up with the rocky mountains in my backyard I was almost always in the mountains and never was I a happier man than when I was out in these areas. Mother nature, however wasn't kind to me and I can no longer do what I loved doing when I was younger. So when I watch episodes like this, when you use your drone and take great images of the sub ranges of the Rockies and spectacular views and the beautiful scenery that can make a man fall in love with them as if they were the finest of women, I get a feeling that I used to get when I was younger, and I owe it all to you my friend! Thankyou for your constant efforts to bring us fantastic scenery and beautiful views from both your handheld cameras as well as your Drone! I always look forward to you videos and it is a blessing to me to have a subscription as awesome as yours that brings back these wonderful feelings! So, Thank you so very much, I am one person who will continue to watch your videos as long as you make them, and sometimes I will even watch some of your older ones as well, because they are done so well. Trolls can be damned, kick them as soon as they show up, because they are some seriously sick individuals who really need to get therapy and NO ONE needs to read their tripe. Keep up the fantastic work Gly, and I was kinda wanting to ask you, is it possible to make your videos a little bit longer? LOL I know that in TH-cam People's attentions spans are way shorter than they used to be but your channel brings such great content, I don't want it to end! Take care and be safe!
“Gly”: Thank you so very much, I really appreciate your kind words. You are able to clearly see what I’m trying to do with the channel now as I try to capture the essence of abandoned mine exploration. The mine will always be the objective but often times just getting there is a big part of the story. There’s so much beauty in these places and it’s been wonderful to finally have the right tools to capture that beauty thanks to all of my channels subscribers and financial supporters. I very much look forward to taking you to many more interesting locations. Take care.
I don't get why anyone would have sour grapes about mine exploration. Mine exploration is too cool to get mad over. I'm just glad you can take me underground because I can't do it myself. My hat's off to ya for doing that. If you ever make it to Brisbane, I'll buy you a beer or two.
Only good comments from me for my favorite TH-cam channel and a great appreciation for the work you do. Not only in the finding and exploring of the mines but also for the hours of editing and other work required to bring us these great entertaining videos. May the comments of the trolls and haters be like shooting a duck with a water gun and just keep on swimin' and quackin'.
You are absolutely right things turning a bit pear shaped. I don't know what their issue is but it's not something we should be concerned about. Good for you buddy!
Gly, I don't know how I came across your channel but it popped into my feed a few weeks ago and I am glad it did. You have a very kind nature and come across and a genuine person. To me you're the Bob Ross of abandoned places exploration. I have watched many of your videos before bed. They are very relaxing and your voice is calming. I also appreciate the educational value! I never would have known how a mine was built and what things are called if not for you. Perhaps if I'm ever on Jeopardy I will win because I knew what a stope is! If that happens I send you a cut! Keep up the good work. I appreciate that you're doing this so we don't have to!
Gly really sad about the trolls. We should feel sorry for them, they obviously had very poor parenting!!! Keep doing what you do-its amazing! Thank you
I like your content. Keep it up. I live thru your and others channels on outdoor stuff. I'm a little less mobile than I was as a 20 or 30 year old. Can no longer hike and climb like I used to. No hunting, fishing, spelunking, rappelling etc. I did explore a small limestone mine next to the Illinois and Michigan canal in Peru, Illinois about 50 years ago. It have two levels but without an O2 meter I was afraid to rappel to the lower level. There were brick furnaces on the back side of the hill so I assume they were baking limestone for lime to make cement for railroad bridges across the Illinois river. As to items found in miles, I think its okay to remove them for museum use such as Frank and Sharon have. My mom recently passed from colon cancer at 89 yr old. She made it 9 months after the surgery. Glad you have beaten you cancer. It's okay to puff when climbing ridges. I did even when I was in shape hunting the ridges in northern Wisconsin.
Dont let the Debbie downers get your goat. Because I'm in a wheelchair I love too watch your channel and the other's who explore mines. I wish I could go into a mine someday. But I wanted to give you and the other's doing these videos a heart felt THANK-YOU.
Hey Gly I have always enjoyed the show since you got my claustrophobia going.. I do miss The comedy duo of Mr M and Randy, hope that you guys do some mines soon.. Backlight is your friend Gly!
Thank you for showing me places I would never go - I don’t like tight spaces, the possibility of falling down a long dark hole, snakes, rats, etc. I appreciate you very much! Trolls are everywhere. Don’t let the trolls get you down.
Good job killer drone footage! On the troll thing, they are looking to trigger a negative reaction, a positive outlook cancels out the math. negative+ positive= positive thank you, ALL stay safe
So many praises and only some trolls but it's crazy how it's the trolls that get under the skin. Focus on the good. Your only one person fill your time with positive. We love you. The sky at 26min mark is beautiful!!
Gly, I noticed that your pail said, "Gly pull over I'm feeling pale", I remember when I was a kid my mom used to drive a lot on trips and I used to get car sick all the time. She drove a lot through the western states and yes when I got sick she would pull over and I would throw up; later in life now I do look back and reminisce on those days. As for the trolls people need to be taught manners today.
Your talk about people throwing out off topic comments is spot on. I use Instagram to post landscape photography, and have taken the exact same stance. People who post off topic nonsense get no warning and are blocked immediately. You want to talk about photography, or where the pic was taken I'm all for it. Otherwise, I don't need you. Thanks for the interesting explores!
Bravo on the weight loss. I've been concentrating on 10 increments for 91 lbs. so far over 28 months. Smaller goals made me feel better sooner and they added up seemingly so fast. With Aloha from Hawaii...
Hey Gly, I can’t even begin to express how much I look forward to your videos every week. Great content and the positive nature of your personality really shines through in all your work. I don’t know what is happening today with all the negativity in social media but it has really become a destructive force. We all have a decision to make in our lives and that is to become the positive change we want to see in others and in the world. Clearly that is what you’re doing, keep up the great work and know that thousands of people are standing with you ( no pressure, haha! ).
Totally agree with what you said at the beginning of the show Gly ,I don’t care for that hate stuff either , I come here to your channel to relax , be educated and entertained and I enjoy the atmosphere you create within the videos , so thank you for what you do and we all make mistakes and no one’s perfect , but I won’t hold any mistakes against you , keep up the great content Gly , and I still convince my 83yo dad , (retired miner) to sit through the odd episode with me.
Been with your channel from the days of the snake chasing you into the portal. Keep up the good work and the videos coming along. Sorry about the comments you have to deal with. That's the side of TH-cam we don't see as viewers. I truly enjoy the videos and seeing all the areas I used to explore with my dad when I was kid.
I love watching you explore mines. I look forward to Saturday mornings again. Those kind of people have no life and nothing good to give to society! I love looking at the scenery too. Be safe
Great Intro. Love the use of your Drones. You tell em Gly, you're not missing anything with Social media. I've ben banned from so many site, only have one left FB. Enough of me, I'm here to see video. Out of that haulage adit, nice view. Chutes and winzes oh my. Beer, any brand, i would drink it, my usage of it has dwindled over the years, help was AA. False floors are unforgiving, one step could be your last.
Congrats on the weight loss. It is a hard but rewarding journey. I had a tumor removed in 2009 (tumor free since) and the meds ballooned me up to 320 pounds. I dropped to 190 pounds through diet and exercise. I’ve since gained a little back because I’ve got a bad back, replaced hips now, and am too crippled to continue the exercise pace I was on. No where near where I was. Keep it up Gly!
Agreed, I have always said “don’t feed the trolls!”. Ban, block and report. Thanks for driving around and crawling around in these mines for us!
Unfortunate that the trolls have moved out of the mines and onto social media. Thanks for all you do for us armchair explorers. Keep being true to you, stay safe, and just block the haters, we don't need them.
😘💜
Nailed it thanks 👍😊
We concur.
Grr stay out of my cave or I'll eat your bones!

Social media platforms ban and demonitze enough already. Need a platform 100 percent free to post, say what ever you want (within the law) I never delete someone for what they say. Regardless if I like it or not
love you channel and your videos - greetings from europe and stay safe
Yeah Gly, I definitely don’t think twice about watching your new episodes that come out on Saturday morning. Also don’t worry about me, I’m more supportive of you my friend. You deliver a great show when you can and I truly appreciate that.
Precisely
Well done on the bucket lid! Lol
I don’t comment much, but I’ve subscribed….I don’t do more then that. I love mining and geology. I feast on the the walls of the mine. I love your narratives
That sure is nice country, nice change from the desert. Your drone work and editing is outstanding!

I want to say that when I was a teenager my brothers and I used to explore caves and mine shafts. This is why I enjoy watching your videos. Be safe
Thanks
Glad you are feeling better all the time. God bless you.
Great video, Gly! I agree with the social media garbage. Basically it is an electronic bathroom wall that people write on.
Gly I look forward to every Saturday to watch your video’s my dad was a miner. I was raised in every silver mine in Nevada and California. I can see now what a man he was. Thank you.

Next week's preview looks super interesting! I'll be back. Thanks for this week, Gly. It had some huge stops.
Love to you as always Gly! Thanks for taking us on and including us in your adventures.

Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Thank you for the adventure Gly

Take care.
Watching with mu Saturday morning coffee! Thx. Congratulation! 10 lbs! Wow!
I have to agree with you about social media. It's gone nuts with folks going nuts. Great video and looking forward to the next. Stay safe my friend.
Great video. Great channel. Great content.
I totally agree with your move on Facebook. It has become a weird place. Keep up the wonderful adventures and be careful my friend !
Great work and fantastic production as ever Gly.
We, as your base viewers, appreciate your great efforts.
Keep it up buddy!
Keep up the excellent work! Don't let people who don't know what this channel is about get you down!
Hi Gly, cool video that first person view is awesome thanks for taking us along. I smashed the like button and a FB share, stay safe out their.
You are absolutely right things turning a bit pear shaped. I don't know what their issue is but it's not something we should be concerned about. Good for you buddy!
Congrats on you're weight loos!!👍👍. You got this!!! Barbi
Absolutely love the full intro to your videos. Reminds me of early Ghost Recon games. Best exploration channel on TH-cam.
Thank you
good, wise words Gly. watching in Manchester U.K. Keep up the good work.
I'm with you in regards to social media Gly, I have no use for any of it. Great show brother!
Love all your videos and technical explanations have been following you for a little over a year
Outstanding job, don't let the haters get on your nerves. My father was an underground hard rock miner from about 63 to the turn of the new century
I too miss the comedy that you, Mr. M and Randy provided. Thank you Gly for the weekly videos. My husband and I enjoy the content.
Keep up the great work Gly your awesome I think I have watched you from the start. Stay safe my friend 🙏
We truly enjoy watching your content... Thank you sir!
Can’t wait to see your next video that one amazing be safe out there my friend
So many praises and only some trolls but it's crazy how it's the trolls that get under the skin. Focus on the good. Your only one person fill your time with positive. We love you.
The sky at 26min mark is beautiful!!
Best channel on TH-cam. Keep em coming!!!!
I want to let you know that I have a file just for your videos. That way I can watch your videos over and over again.
I really enjoy them.
you rock your my favorite mine guy......
I look forward to each and every episode!!
“Gly”: This video has received over 400 comments and I’m really happy to see that others are taking a stand against these individuals.
Thanks!
You have been an asset, so much knowledge, as it all on us.
Bravo on the weight loss. I've been concentrating on 10 increments for 91 lbs. so far over 28 months. Smaller goals made me feel better sooner and they added up seemingly so fast. With Aloha from Hawaii...
“Gly”: Aloha! I hope to visit the islands for a week or two next winter. I miss Kauai very much.
Clearly that is what you’re doing, keep up the great work and know that thousands of people are standing with you ( no pressure, haha! ).
“Gly”: Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful view
Love this channel! Ignore the trolls. They want you and other excellent TH-camrs to quit.
This comment should be highlighted to the top because commenting is how you can really help the channel even more and you will see why.
Gly keep doing what you love
We don't need them trolls we need you exploring.
Really a beautiful area. Nice to see you again Gly.
Thanks for another great video Gly. Always look forward to Saturday morning mine videos from you.
Thank you Gly, have a great rest of your Saturday and a great week!
“Gly”: Thank you!
