I don’t think many people can appreciate how much discipline and stamina it takes to maintain a sound like Matt Doe’s on the trumpet for this long. I’m seeing comment after comment after comment about how they should “kick the trumpet player out” but he’s a valuable part of their sound as a band. This is Too Many Zooz and not Hipster Baritone Saxophonist Performs Mating Ritual With Saxophone for a reason.
Samuel Plays Brass Hahaha. Best comment ever. I’m a year late but it doesn’t matter. I agree about the trumpet, and as a wind player, I am constantly in awe of all 3 of their staminas. I also think the trumpet player is very creative, is very outside of the box, but manages to be incredibly consistent at the same time. What he brings to the table is truly unique. I actually like the quirkiness of his stage presence too. He’s no Leo, but the band only needs one peacock anyway.
The pink hair, the black shirt and jeans, brightness black shoes, classical hat, the king of sludge in another dimension and the trumpet guy whit his simple style is the perfect mixture
I'm 65 years old. I watched Chuck berry scoot across the stage at the paladium in Birmingham Mich. Ive been to the Grande ballroom, east town, cobo and pine knob. I like these guys. They know how to work those tools. Lol

Science needs to study Leo because it's highly unlikely anyone else can survive headbanging with a bari sax, his lungs are stronger than steel, and his energy is boundless. This man will singlehandedly put the Energizer Bunny out of a job.
I also play the Baritone Saxophone and am very curious on how he can play all those different pitches without even pressing any Keys down. It probably has something to do with his jaw but I don't understand how.
You can adjust your embourchure to change the pitch of notes. You loosen your lips to get a flatter sound and you tighten up to get a higher pitch. His mouthpiece also helps him bend notes like crazy.
