ha! BUT you didnt seem to talk about the heat issues that plagued the 1080 mi stick. no matter the features if it heats up and bricks then its no use. The heat was a big issue, i got 2 a year ago. lost one to over heating. I wasnt playing games or running some crazy apps.. i was just browsing around menu settings testing out connection with my bluetooth headphones. and it bloody bricked due to overheating. NOT A FAN XIAOMI!
I have a question regarding WiFi which requires further registration: I live in a block of apartments that includes WiFi service in which you connect without a password and then you have to Log In in your iPhone/iPad/PC via broswer using Apartment Number and Password. Can I use Fire TV Stick with this kind of WiFi? It's the only thing that's keeping me from buying one and the guy at the store wasn't sure
I'm experiencing WiFi issues with this device. It will show WIFI NOT CONNECTED every couple of minutes. Internet streaming don't bother me as the content will buffer for a couple of seconds and play on. Sometimes it won't even buffer and just play through. The issues comes when I stream local content on my NAS via kodi. When the WI-FI NOT Connected issue comes up, kodi will play for a couple of seconds and stop whatever playing. I've looked on the net for a solution but no luck. Anyone any advice foe me?
I have a question, does anyone watch Viaplay on this device and have no problem with live sports broadcasts? I am asking because on Realme TV Stick 4K, which I have been using for two weeks, there is no image in the broadcasts, only the voice. I will be grateful for such information. Best wishes
Can anyone help me solve the Android system update issue? Since purchasing TV stick 4k I even didn't see the home page. After choosing laanguage, region amd connect WiFi the setup is finished. The system automatically starts to upgrade and stuck one point forever, even doesn't complete step 1/2. Asking for a replacement but i still have the same issue. Check online and try all methods but not working at all.
Did I hear a double negative in there? 👹 What I like about these small sticks most is the portability. You can carry it in your pocket to the summer cottage etc.
Disappointing. Normal TV volume 12. Xiaomi tv stick 4k 55! Moreover I can't turn it off. 5 Minutes later it turns on. Firestick 4k is far better and is compatible with more apps. No updates. Latest October 2021!
When we watch the TV (Samsung 4K Smart TV) the volume is usually about 12. The same TV with the xiaomi tv stick and the volume has to be around 50 or 60 to hear anything! If we forget to turn the volume back down we get deafened!
I got this device and so far, I'm not impressed. It is very sluggish to the point where it is almost unusable. Is there a firmware or some update I need to do? I have checked the firmware update and it said I have the latest version. I'm referring to the UI experience. It is not responsive at all and I have to wait fraction of a second or at times 2 seconds to move to the next tile on the UI. Please help if anyone know what's going on here.
why are people recommending this product? it's actually complete garbage. it's a big gamble when you buy it, you can have a good one that runs without problems or you have one that gets really hot in 10 minutes en shuts down because of the heat whats makes the device unusable because it has to cool down. BE SMART end DON'T BUY this terrible product

I left the Mi TV stick for Amazon Fire TV except when I need Chromecast. Unless it's changed certain UK TV subscription services like Sky Now TV didn't have an app for Android except on Amazon Fire TV even ported APK were blocked by Sky from connecting. I might have to check again because Fire TV isn't as good this year as part year probably an update not giving the high performance. Mi is doing a great job at getting updates out.
i have a problem with Disney+ it only streams in 2 channels only. i have the xiaomi 4k connected to 3 different current gen av receivers, same problem, no Dolby atmos or even 5.1, only stereo pcm. on the other hand, Netflix can stream Dolby Atoms. I tried all available settings in the Xiaomi...any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks
But the button (re) mapper doesn't work on the Xiaomi/mi devices, when it cones to the netflix/live/prime buttons.. For some reason these button is not able to change.. A real bummer..
