అమరావతి కథలు సత్యం శంకరమంచి రచించిన తెలుగు కథాసంపుటి . అమరావతి గ్రామం, అక్కడి ప్రజలు ఇతివృత్తంగా రచించిన ఈ 100 కథలు మొదట ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి వారపత్రికలో సుమారు రెండు సంవత్సరాలు 1975-77 మధ్య ప్రచురించబడ్డాయి. అంత చిన్నకథలో కూడా ఎంతో కథా శిల్పాన్ని ప్రదర్శించిన రచయిత సత్యం శంకరమంచి అభినందనీయులు.
Amaravati Kathalu is a collection of Telugu short stories written by Satyam Sankaramanchi.
The stories are about the people of the village of Amaravati and were first published in the Andhra Jyothi newspaper. Later on, the stories were published by Navodaya Publishers in the form of a book, which bears the art of renowned artist Bapu. The book was reprinted several times. The series ran for two years. They follow a typical Chekhovian style. The stories are heartwarming and are about people encounter in their everyday lives.

తాను ఎప్పుడు ఎవరి గురించి తప్పుగా మాట్లాడలేదు. తప్పు పని చేయలేదు. ప్రకృతి లో మమేకం అయ్యి ప్రతి దాన్ని చూస్తూ ఆనందించేవారు. చిన్నపిల్లల నవ్వులో సంతోషాన్ని వెతికారు...చిన్నపిల్లల తో కలిసి పోయి తాను ఒక చిన్న పిల్లవాడి గా మారిపోయాడు. పరుల సంతోషాన్ని కోరాడు.అందరితో స్వచ్ఛమైన మనసుతో మాట్లాడి కలిసి పోయేవారు ..... ఇలా అందరికీ ప్రేమ పంచుతు సాధారణమైన జీవితాన్ని సాగించాడు....... పిచ్చయ్య గారిది ఆదర్శవంతమైన జీవితం...... ఇంకా ఏం సాధించాలి ఈ లోకం లో ......
