I created an easy design of a Flight Simulator Pedal (Rudder & Brakes) using 3D printed parts, Arduino and other small, easy to find items.
This video shows how to build the pedal. At the end I also did a test flight on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
All printable STL files, assembly manuals, Arduino code and wiring instructions are available at www.thingivers...
    ---

Thank you for creating this, I've build it myself and everthing fits nicley togehter. Altough in an iteration I would go for ball bearings instead of plastic on plastic. However I can't get it to work. I cannot, for the live of me, get unojoy to work on my UNO R3. I've tried many times to flash the unojoy firmware, to the point where it bricked my arduino and no it's garbage. It mostly likely killed de atmega16u2 responsible for the USB communication, as the device does not show up on an computer. So now I am searching for alternatives as I got everything assembled and working except the, quite crucial, communication part.
For everyone wondering about the cost, I've broke mine down (printing cost based on filament around € 24,99/kg and energy around 0,35/kwH) Everthing sourced from Amazon, except the MDF it's mounted to:
    Printed parts ~ 32,72 €
    6x Rubber feet = 2,40 €
    1x Arduino = 24,13 €
    3x 10k Poti = 2,55 €
    10x Springs ~ 0,48 €
    Xx Screws ~ 1,00 €
    1x MDF = 4,99 €
    Sum ~ 68,27 €

    • @dvilardi
      @dvilardi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Not sure what is happening exaclty, but it could be 1 - some bad connection causing the arduino to mis-read the inputs or 2 - you may still need to calibrate the controllers using the windows game controller calibration tool. If it's not any of those 2, I would try to change arduinos or re-do the wiring from scratch just to make sure.
